Gameplay over graphics any day of the week. I'd buy a game with Spectrum/C64 level graphics if it was really good.

It looks like it would be easier to get into on the right hand side of the window/door those curtains imply. Assuming there is an obvious reason why it isn't.

If I worked at a games company I'd be "leaking" stuff to these folks all the time just to see how far it runs. By leaking I mean making stuff up.

I wouldn't want an NFT if they were giving them away. Which just reminded me of when Apple gave everyone a new U2 album a few years back and I had to find out how to remove it. I don't want digital rubbish. If they start to add NFTs to games hopefully there is a disable this rubbish option rather than a long winded method of "giving them back".

The only thing worth spending that much money on is a massive house or a small flat in posh part of London.

@Silly_G @ModdedInkling That level will be the death of me as it remains uncompleted on my Wii U and Switch as well. Adding some more levels would get me to fire it up again and maybe finish the job.

Worst game I have played on Game Pass. The story wasn't great which for a game where the main selling point after the cast is the narrative. I can forgive a game if the narrative isn't good as long as the gameplay is fun. This didn't tick either box for me. Reviews are subjective and no-one will ever agree with every review as you can't please all of the people all of the time.

@ModdedInkling The Switch is the little engine that could. It's only now coming up to its 5th birthday. It's still got at least a couple of years in it before we get a sequel. Depends on how much the pace slows over those 2 years though. Let’s look again next year. I'll be the first to admit I was way off buy I like to remain hopeful.

Might try and push through some more of House of Fata Morgana and get to a point where it gets good. Put it on hold all week as it was too slow for me and needed a break. How many hours in is it supposed to pick up? This is my first visual novel and as I like reading I thought I would enjoy it more.

@Mauzuri I think some people are waiting for something outside of marketing material to help them decide. People are almost there and just need a nudge to dive in. I'll get it eventually even if the reviews are terrible but the reviews may persuade me to get it sooner rather than later. Still playing Shining Pearl at the minute anyway. Seems strange they decided to release this so soon after that release.

Not only sold more combined but 4.5 times more. That is impressive. I would say the Switch is the console I would keep of the current three if I was told I can only keep one, although the Series X is a close second due to Game Pass.

I think the headline is missing some quotation marks around celebrating.

If this actually works then maybe we can get some joy con, preferably first party, that use this tech. Not had the issue yet myself but there are enough people who have to warrant an upgrade.

Currently trawling through The House in Fata Morgana. Around 8 hours in and nothing has really happened so far. One "decision" made at the start and that is it. I was aware it was light on options so that isn't an issue. I'm wondering at what point the story picks up as barely anything has happened so far and have had to take a break before I lose the will to live.

So what he is saying is that most gamers are happy playing games and getting their "hit" from completing a level or constructing something or whatever but some people want to be given a virtual "biscuit (which is a flavour no-one else is allowed to eat but can lick with permission) and a pat on the head" to say well done little Johnny.

I own this on the Dreamcast and the sequel on the PS2. Played both. Entertaining at the time. Not sure I would be in a rush to revisit either unless the extra content makes it worth it though.

@BloodNinja I play DDR wearing roller blades and in my local arcade I asked them to cut the safety bar off the machine as you only live once. I've only fallen off and broken my leg three times but totally worth it. Hit every step wrong but I enjoyed myself.

Played just enough Shining Pearl yesterday so I can trade with my brother tomorrow. Other than that no gaming for me.

With the classics being released this week I think you may need to amend your Switch games of the year list.

When the lowest selling version of the Switch is selling 20 times more than the competition combined you can see why the game charts are dominated by Switch games.

I remember borrowing the game off my friend back in the day and playing this track into the early hours trying to set a stupidly fast time he would never beat. He never even noticed when I gave it back. In my dreams it was as fast as this. In reality it was probably about one minute per lap.

@Not_Soos I was definitely connected to WiFi as it updated SNES online games when I loaded that up and played some Pac Man 99.

Says I played 100% docked but I know that is a lie as I remember playing some Switch while I was away from my house unless it is a rounding thing and less than 0.5% was portable. Other than that seems about right.

Film director compliments a member of his cast is basically all this is. This is nearly always the way before a film comes out.

@Zeeeus The initial dump of Megadrive games did seem to be lacklustre compared to the Classics collection. You would have thought they would have added more titles to the Megadrive list by now to get it up to speed. One day the service may be worth the bump in price.

Any other subscription service with no new additions after a month would lead to mass cancellations. That's why they tied people in to 12 months. Bare minimum it needs 1 new game on each of the N64 and Megadrive per month.

I still have these for the Original Xbox somewhere so no point in upgrading. Also pun of the year for me in the subheading.

@TheBigK Considering they barely acknowledge their own history most of the time they certainly don't have time to acknowledge any others.

Looks like I will have to fish out my PS2 and see if it still works and play them on that.

They're running out of rumours they now have to rely on reruns. I want new rumours so I can actually get slightly giddy again for a few months before I move on. I remember this rumour the first 8 times around. Getting bored of this one. Maybe it's time to wheel the Switch Pro rumour out again.

It's a shame that the people who have fun with these games and pay money to use on them are getting them taken away so soon. Doesn't bode well for Pikmin Bloom if games with the Mario and Harry Potter licence only last 2 years.

All kind of pointless when the kids are playing Call of Duty followed by browsing porn on the Internet. At least they can't see badly drawn naked cartoon characters on PlayStation though.

Maybe I will upgrade when my Switch Online membership expires in early 2023. Unless something comes sooner that makes me want to pay up pay bit sooner. I reckon there will be discounted codes to make a saving by then.

I'd rather watch the movies. They were so good they should have won awards. Uwe Boll is the best director of all time and that is a fact that you can take to the bank. It will leave you overdrawn though.

I was going to go see the film but I think I will spend my money on this so we never see part 2 of the movie but instead get more outfits.

If the price hike is due to Sega licensing issues because they didn't sell well on the Wii then I think that tells you what you need to know about the value of this package? No one is signing up for the Sega games as they can get them for a reasonable one off price. Not everyone wants the AC DLC and once again they can get that for a one off price so basically you are currently paying extra for 9 N64 games which you could buy most of on the Wii U for a little more than the price increase. Once more games are added to the service colour me interested but as it stands I will wait and see.

I got Metroid Dread yesterday but recently cracked open my PS5 so been enjoying Death Stranding Directors Cut on there and may dabble in Ratchet and Clank so no time for Metroid. Recently started Scarlet Nexus on Game Pass as well. So many good games and so little time.
