All kind of pointless when the kids are playing Call of Duty followed by browsing porn on the Internet. At least they can't see badly drawn naked cartoon characters on PlayStation though.

Maybe I will upgrade when my Switch Online membership expires in early 2023. Unless something comes sooner that makes me want to pay up pay bit sooner. I reckon there will be discounted codes to make a saving by then.

I'd rather watch the movies. They were so good they should have won awards. Uwe Boll is the best director of all time and that is a fact that you can take to the bank. It will leave you overdrawn though.

I was going to go see the film but I think I will spend my money on this so we never see part 2 of the movie but instead get more outfits.

If the price hike is due to Sega licensing issues because they didn't sell well on the Wii then I think that tells you what you need to know about the value of this package? No one is signing up for the Sega games as they can get them for a reasonable one off price. Not everyone wants the AC DLC and once again they can get that for a one off price so basically you are currently paying extra for 9 N64 games which you could buy most of on the Wii U for a little more than the price increase. Once more games are added to the service colour me interested but as it stands I will wait and see.

I got Metroid Dread yesterday but recently cracked open my PS5 so been enjoying Death Stranding Directors Cut on there and may dabble in Ratchet and Clank so no time for Metroid. Recently started Scarlet Nexus on Game Pass as well. So many good games and so little time.

Still going strong with my launch day Switch. Hopefully it will last until the Switch U, New Switch, Super Switch, Switch 2 or Switch Pro or whatever they do comes next.

@Merry_Blind I think it depends on if you play in the dark. Even mild white light is harsh when you play in the dark. During the day it makes little difference.

Always dark mode. I even have black background and white font on my kindle. It's a lot easier on the eyes. I don't like to have burn in on my retina.

If we are comparing batteries, my car has a better battery than the Switch and it was "released" 4 years before the Switch and it can slowly "teleport" me to different locations! It's probably worth about the same as the phone too. Which is the better deal?

I wasn't aware it had its own Game Boy Player. Had to do some internet research as I thought it would look amazing but it appears it didn't match the system itself being just dull plastic. Excitement to disappointment in 15 seconds.

If they released a double pack of the NES Remix games on the Switch they'd make enough money off mugs buying it again plus the rest of the large user base so we can get a SNES Remix. I can but dream.

The price cut will disappoint people wanting to get rid of their original to upgrade to OLED. They'll get even less on a part exchange or selling it.

I collect to add to my backlog! I intend to play every game I purchase. The large number of sealed games I have tells me that I haven't played the majority of them though. Maybe one day I will come to my senses and sell them so someone can do what I couldn't with them.

Maybe the PC version came on 1000 floppy discs so each disc in the box is classed as a copy so only actually sold 24500 on PC and 500,000 elsewhere?

I still haven't finished my run of the first game I started in 2014. Got Bravely Second and this one so hopefully finish before I am on my deathbed.

@RupeeClock That makes sense then. You'll probably start your run through of the games before me anyway. Going through some of my older backlog at the minute.

@RupeeClock I have the LRG games. Had them for about a month. Assume you are waiting on the Collector's Edition ones? I need to play through them first before getting the new one.

Lucky that the Wii Nunchuck didn't follow his NES/SNES design aesthetic. I don't think a cube with a control stick on it would have worked.

@Ogbert Fair enough. Each to their own. I do like the designs but I'd rather buy a new game instead as I don't spend much time looking at my consoles. Do these skins not make the console a bit more slippery to hold though or are they textured to prevent that?

Seems like a lot of effort is involved in putting skins on your Switch for no real benefit other than to show off how much patience you have sticking them on.

@Teksetter @BenAV Almost the same. Played the original for about an hour as soon as I got it and then got distracted. Here we are years later still distracted. Maybe by the time I finish the first the physical of the sequel will be out.

@ralphdibny It's a crime against one of the greatest games of all time certainly. But it's OK as I can just download the ROM and play that rather than on my GameCube, 3DS or Wii U copies of it. (For the easily offended, this is a joke as I will play it on my 3DS as I started a run through the games on that earlier this year.)

@adamman12345 I think you can do what you want with your own copy of a game in your own home. I'm going to turn my copy into kneepads and fashion my N64 into a hat.

I'd be tempted by a Switch Lite SP. Keep that screen protected without the need for messing about with a case.

I downloaded it early on and played about 2 games and I am done with it. How many of those 4 million played it as much as me?
I got about 10 games of Super Mario 35 and a couple of Tetris 99 games on my sister's Switch so I have form.

I will hopefully plug my Wii U back in and play this again at Halloween. Never finished it at the time.

@BrintaPap I have it on my Vita already so would prefer a big screen experience too given a choice.

@BrintaPap If you asked the entire population of the world which game they would prefer on current consoles Persona 4 Golden or Persona 4 Arena Ultimax the most popular answer would be, "what are you talking about?" but what do you think would be second? Guess it is cheaper to remaster Arena.

I've avoided spoilers for the original for many years. I should be able to manage this. I own the original on DS and the Switch version but they just sit in my ever increasing backlog. Unless you actively look for spoilers or follow people on social media who get off on spoiling things for folks you should be good.

Got my amiibo yesterday and as I was putting a load of stuff in storage it went straight in storage with the rest of my Zelda amiibo. Under 12 hours from receipt to storage. I'll unbox in a few years. Maybe.

Got the amiibo and Joy-Cons and will get the game at a later date. Got to get the limited stuff first. I can always fish out my Wii U for the time being if needed.

I want to see a video games price crash and see these over inflated prices hit the $100s at best. The people who have money like that can afford to lose it. Maybe then a bit of common sense will start to prevail.

I think COVID scuppered a slightly beefier Switch. They'll see this OLED versionsells like crazy so they'll just wait until the release of the Switch U now. I assume that's what they'll call the sequel anyway.

They should have just called it the Switch Max or Switch+ or Switcheroo rather than the snappy title they have given us.
I'll wait as I mainly play docked which is why I found out my screen starting to come away about 3 years ago when I took it out of the dock.
