In all seriousness, Capcom are probably doing a Nintendo and have planned to spread releases out periodically.
Although it's hard when they have nothing to announce, it makes good business sense for them, as evidenced by USF. This was a launch title and it wasn't competing with other Capcom titles; so they heavily promoted it.
They cold easily do the same for Disney A.C. or Resident Evil - spread them out, promote them well, and where possible offer console-only features.
It wouldn't even surprise me if Capcom are waiting for Resident Evil 2 Remake to be released before pulling the trigger on Origins. This way, they would release 0, 1 and 2 in the same package and charge a standard RRP.
There's nothing wrong with the Blue Shell - it's the rubber banding that can spoil races.
If anything, the Blue Shell makes races more interesting because it switches things up, but the rubber banding punishes good players and rewards poor ones.
If it's anything like their NES book, then it's not worth buying. The quality of the images is pretty poor, and surprisingly there are factual errors littered throughout.
It seems clear to me that they start production on these titles at 720p for handheld, and then just work their way up. This way it's easy to release demos or builds.
There news refers only to classic games supporting online play, so it's likely that the original games will still be paid for or part of a different set-up.
I know, I know.... The sheer lunacy of the concept is enough to immediately pull off a face palm.
But in this instance, I actually think the lunacy could turn out to be to the game's advantage. This is Nintendo - nothing should be taken overly seriously. If we can accept that an Italian-American plumber from Brooklyn runs around eating mushrooms and stomping on turtleswhilst riding a dinosaur, I think a few deformed rabbits are acceptable...
Take no notice of these estimates. They don't take into account the wholesale price of components (not off the shelf), or the R&D costs - all of which are factored into the RRP.
I'm a little concerned about the length of the game. After completing the first level with only 2/5 gold tokens, I'm already 7% complete! That can't be right, surely...
For under £7, this game is a steal. It really takes me back to the days when arcades where THE place to go of a weekend!
The software itself is very impressive - I love the sheer volume of options at your disposal out of the emulation, which also shows how much care has been put into the title.
One thing I would have mentioned in the review is that, essentially, this is as close as you're going to get to Everybody's Golf, without the variety of game modes or funny characters.
It's entirely possible that this package will be released at a later date; and pretty much ties in with why Nintendo haven't released some franchised software on their platforms.
Nintendo have yet to announce pretty much anything regarding Virtual Console, other than it not being available at launch.
I can see Nintendo rebranding VC as '[console] Classics', given that the NES Classic Mini featured this on the top of the packaging (the plural suggesting it's part of a group of consoles), and that it's much clearer as to what the service offers than 'Virtual Console'.
If 'Classics' does indeed come to fruition, Nintendo may simply use this as a category for third-party support, rather than licensing the rights to sell these games through their own emulation and services. This is the reason why the likes of Ducktales haven't made it onto VC previously - it takes an considerable effort from Nintendo, Disney, Capcom and other parties to come to agreements.
But if this 'Disney Afternoons' software was made available on the eShop just like any other, and placed under the Classics category, you get around retro merchandising without the legal headaches, as the software has already been made possible through both Capcom and Disney. Everyone wins without the legal headaches.
Doesn't bother me personally. Physical games have physical value; they can be sold on, and are a boon for collectors. Plus, RRPs are rarely stuck to by retailers. Everyone was up in arms over Zelda being £59.99, but Amazon were selling it for £48 weeks before it even released, leading other retailers to follow suit.
In this instance, it really isn't GAME's fault. Most banks these days monitor your account activity, and if they believe that withdrawal requests appear fraudulent, they halt them. The store then has no other option but to cancel the order, as on their end the message is that the card in question has been declined.
If you've had experiences like this in the past, it's best to simply contact your bank and make them aware that a particular amount of money is indeed going to be withdrawn within a certain timeframe, and that it's legit.
The User ID is what you use to sign into your account, and to add/accept friend invites.
The Nickname is what others see you as in-game.
Therefore, if you are concerned with the name that other players will see/refer to you as, it is the Nickname you want to alter. The User ID is an alternative to using your email address to login.
@Alshain01 But no one is being forced to spend that extra money, and the DLC isn't fixing the game. It's the equivalent of purchasing a new car, and complaining that a particular trim or climate pack isn't included.
Nintendo spend years developing a standalone game, they put it on sale, people buy it. Nintendo then spends time developing optional content, puts it on sale, and people moan.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the port to Switch was a flat-out effort as it was. If Nintendo are going to spend more time and money creating extra content that isn't integral to the original product, then why shouldn't you be paying?
This sense of entitlement is bewildering. It's the same kind of person who complains because they can't find a torrent of a movie...
