Capcom has announced another collection of classic NES titles to follow in the footsteps of Mega Man Legacy Collection, but in a rather strange twist it will be skipping Nintendo systems.

Disney Afternoon Collection pulls together some of the company's most beloved NES titles, including Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers, Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers 2, Darkwing Duck, DuckTales, DuckTales 2 and TaleSpin.

All six titles will feature 1080p HD visuals as well as filtering options which will allow you to recreate that classic CRT look. Just like Mega Man Legacy Collection there will be extra modes such as Boss Rush and Time Attack, and the in-game museum contains a wide range of artwork and music to digest.

Disney Afternoon Collection will be hitting the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC as a digital download on April 18th for the very reasonable price of £15.99/ €19.99/ $19.99. The absence of a Switch or 3DS release is somewhat puzzling, given that many of the people who fondly recall these titles will be lifelong Nintendo fans.

Perhaps Mega Man Legacy Collection underperformed on 3DS and Capcom has decided to focus on Sony and Microsoft's consoles instead? Maybe a Switch version will be released at a later date? Digital Eclipse - the studio behind both this and the Mega Man collection - haven't ruled that out:
