Re: Splatoon Raiders Is Alive, And It's Out This Summer On Switch 2

Elbarbo

Never this Raiders "salmon" runs on Switch 1. Models, textures, shadows and lights are better. Some things look like Splatoon 3, but people have to watch anew this trailer, and previous games for comparing technical performances.
I would have prefered an open area with treasure hunting, but I'll take it, even if it's a larger variety of Salmon Run...We'll see it at its release date.
It's like other Nintendo games, they use an artistic direction that made games look a bit the same at every new release, but in fact, it's better.
About the lack of colours, don't forget that Splatoon needs you to quickly see where your ink is...
I'm confident.

Re: Talking Point: What Would You Want From A New Star Fox Game?

Elbarbo

-An open space with varied story missions and side quests (a lot of each type), using all kind of vehicles/gameplays existing (and a new one). But 50% rail Arwing missions, for fans...
Exploration, building, and customisation.
-A Great story with all characters seen before, well nailed with twists, and iconic musics.
Playing Wolf Team ?
-An Arcade mode rail shooter unlocked after completing levels in story for scoring (I dislike that, personnally).
-A multiplayer with a lot of modes, cooperation, VS, original missions...
Well, a big revolution and a standard for those kinf of games, making us happy for the next 15 years without Starfox team.

Re: Movie Review: The Super Mario Galaxy Movie - A Faithful But Overstuffed Sequel

Elbarbo

I really enjoyed the movie. Visually impressive, good action and use of items from the Marioverse. Emotions and good music, and my waifu Rosalina/Harmonie (in France), and her relationship with Peach finally clarified.
I liked Fox, but there's too much of him...He deserves his own anime and movie; and a revolutionnary game (not a classic one).
Peace, and enjoy all this stuff while we still can, life is short and uncertain !
Video Games and movies came from far, and repidly increase in quality, for delivering impressive shows.

Re: Fox McCloud Blasts Into The Super Mario Galaxy Movie

Elbarbo

It's exciting if this is some kind of marketing technique for a future Starox Game announced this year, but Fox has nothing to do with Mario's Universe...nor Pikmins.
I dislike crossovers, it's always incoherent...
I don't want the just being publicities.
Yes, a Nintendo "MCU" without crossovers would be nice, for a lot of series, a new manner to expand Nintendo's universes and maybe giving more ideas for games, and attracting people to them, making some series survive despite disappearing cause they have small audiences.

Re: Mario Kart World Could Be Getting A Battle Mode Update

Elbarbo

This game needs a better Battle Mode. It's its worst point, actually.
Mario Kart 8 had the worst one in the series, and the Deluxe version made it the best !
A bit more love for battle, please, Nintendo, it's something crucial that could make the difference between an very good game and a masterpiece (it's a bit theatrical, I admit).

Re: Round Up: The Reviews Are In For Pokémon Pokopia

Elbarbo

@Kiz3000 Kirby Air Riders had a CGI trailer in Aprils Direct, and a publicity for Amiibos in Septembers Direct. It's a niche game that needs to be shown, more than Pokémon for selling it. Moreover, it's a nailed and complex game, hard to explain. Underestimated if you look only to a "Metacritic" website. Even like that, half of the sales were in Japan where Kirby is popular.

Pokémon Pokopia had a real trailer in Septembers Direct (underestimated announcement), an overview end 2025, and the recent Treehouse.

Personnally I like both of those games, the really good surprises for me on NS2 !

Re: Donkey Kong Bananza Has Been Updated To Version 3.2.0

Elbarbo

@LastFootnote Yes, but cycling back is not good, don't want to wait 2 years cause each event is available one week. I'm not at home every day waiting for this. And why not letting it live for a month, like Pokémon Z-A, before the next one ?
The schedule is slow in that way, yes.

Re: If You Like Paper Mario's Newest Entry, This Nintendo Music Update Is For You

Elbarbo

@mlt I loves 7 to 8 themes in Color Splash, very nice ost (Ludwig's...), but TTYD and Origami King have for my taste more than 20 good theme each (even more, in fact).

@HammerGalladeBro All the Autumn/Shogun arc is the peak of the game, and the arrival at Snifit's City at night, with the music, the pool scene, and my booming system activated. It's part of Anthology of the series !! All Boss Battles are very cool and songs are top level.

Re: Metroid Prime 4 & Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Imprisonment Sales Get Off To A Slow Start

Elbarbo

I talked enough about those games in a recent past, I will be a bit out of the topic from now.
Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour and Drag x Drive didn't surpass 1 million units sold. It's sad, because they're ncie games, well made, but not really well promoted.
Moreover, without physical release, it's less visibility in supermarkets. Sad because they're at a low price (10 and 20 euros here). Maybe we'll see them in the next annual financial report, but...

Re: Here's A Look At The Best-Selling Switch And Switch 2 Games So Far

Elbarbo

Hyrule Warriors Age of Imprisonment is Koei Tecmo's game, in financial reports. It sold more than 1 million copies for an NS2 exclusive.
Edited by KT in Japan, by Nintendo in the rest of the world.
Upgrades are not counted like sells, only in global digital "money" reports.
New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe is a very solid and good game, with interactivity between characters that made it fun for families and friends. It has a lot of content, and very well designed levels. The unpopularity is about artistic direction of characters (environments are nice), and the fact that we've already seen it in previews game of the series. But it deserves this score, it solds around 6 millions copies on Wii U, like Super Mario 3D World, as a launch game, and was the only Mario 2D platformer on Switch for 5 years. Nothing shocking. Super Mario Bros. Wonder is near from it, and will probably surpass NSMBUD. Wonder is better, for sure, but I dislike treating a very good game like trash just because the last one is better.

Re: It's Official, The Switch Is Nintendo's Best-Selling Console Of All Time

Elbarbo

@OmnitronVariant If it's just for saying that 17 M shipping aren't 17 M customers, it's obvious, stock exists. Every retailer has to planify their stock regarding the sells. If they do it bad after 6 months, it's a big mess from them, but we can't prove it without their own declared numbers. Do they have all their stock exposed, or do they have more on the back store ? We can't say. Add to that Japan is out of Switch 2, we can't count the real number of customers Switch 2 could have in 2025. It's not really important, Switch 2 is a banger, but I don't think it will surpass Switch in its lifetime.

Re: Switch 2 Storms Towards Its Forecast Target With 17.37 Million Units Sold

Elbarbo

MP 4 Beyond is very good, but not enough deep. This aside, it's sad for the series selling so bad, it could be a disappearing. I don't see any joy in this. An excellent MP could exist, as another different 3D episode, ambitious, but with that kind of score, I'll be dead before it happens, maybe, so I'm sad. 8 years and a half for this, after such a hype...
Other miss, Drag x drive and NS2 Welcome Tour. A sad bilan.

Re: Dig Into Donkey Kong Bananza's Third DLC In-Game Event Next Week

Elbarbo

They're beautiful, and I love how this DK is not really DK, but include the past of the series, with cameos from all episodes.
But, the temporary events is annoying. It's not like it was given, you have to be focused on the trial, even if it's for 30 minutes if you have it at first try.
Please, be soft with us...

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Metroid Prime 4: Beyond?

Elbarbo

There is a confusion on certain websites. When they talk about the Switch version, they say "there is lowe resolution, etc...." and put an inferior score.
But Metroid Prime 4 Beyond is a Switch, in regard of Switch 1, not compared to an upgrade version on Switch 2. It's as impressive on Switch 1, and totally adapted for me, even technically. It's one of the best realisation of Nintendo on Switch. Switch 2 version may be scored lloking at tis own Switch 2 hardware if you want, but even that is not really important, because it's a Switch game. Models, animation, textures. It's PS3 era, just next after GameCube. It's nice, even it's in 2025. The game itself is excellent, it's just released a bit late, in 2025.
I score 9/10 for each version, becasue it's an excellent game. Super feeling, good ambiance and musics, beautiful esthetics. The Vi-O-La is very cool to play. I have a ton of ideas for making it more than just excellent, and that's what I was expecting for surprising me. The only thing I can be deceived is that this game doesn't surprise me. Good psychic ability, but not enough different from past games for the main gameplay. It's a bit stuck in the past, and too safe, but it did it with excellence. Sorry, I'm not fluent, just French XD

Re: Poll: Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Is Out On Switch 2 And Switch This Week, Will You Be Getting It?

Elbarbo

It's a Switch game, part of my Switch collection (and probably among my favorite exclusives), I pre-ordered a physical version of it on Nintendo Switch system. But, once installed on my OLED Switch device, I will "switch" my real play on Switch 2 instantly with the upgrade XD
On Switch 2, like PS5, I'm now just buying fully digital games...except collectors like a Xenoblade, or something like that. Happy gaming week to everyone, it's 8 years and a half I'm waiting for this Metroid Prime 4.

Re: Switch 2 Exclusive 'Drag x Drive' Scores Its Second Major Update, Here's What's Included

Elbarbo

@StarCollector You forgot Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour. If we talk about exclusivities, there is still Chillin' by the Fire, Handy Hockey (lol), Survival Kids, and Fast Fusion. I don't count Bravely Default Flying Fairy HD Remaster, or Japanese exclusives. Some of them may be temporary, we don't know at the time.
People forget that Nintendo delivers other games too this year, 2025 is not a Switch 2 exclusivity, you can play those games on the new hardware, so people should think a bit...

This Drag x Drive is relly cool. Better personality for characters, and more refined caracteristics for their statistics could be a good choice, and other arenas too. But it's a good game (like Welcome Tour). It's a bit "niche", but good.

Re: Gallery: The 'Samus & Vi-O-La' amiibo For Metroid Prime 4 Could Be The Best Yet

Elbarbo

In France, I paid "Viola" and the normal Varia Suit Samus of MP 4 Around 50 euros. Some are arguing, but to find figures of this quality with NPC technology inside for thos price is rare. Th first Amiibos cost around 14 euros, but there was 12 years ago. The quality is almost three times better, and a bit of inflation can explain this. The two figures are probably the best they've made since the beginning of amiibos ! You can't see it in the pictures, but Samus has beautiful metallic reflects.

Re: Metroid Prime 4's Sweet New Trailer Builds The Hype For Next Month's Launch

Elbarbo

the bike looks awesome and I'm excited to play it
Done.

Is this the game that had a 2 hours long Direct from Sakurai ?
Can we drift by pressing "the button" while riding this bike ?
Can we hurt other people and jack their bike, then evading from policemen ?
Can Samus Twerk in this game ?

Very impatient to play this game, after such a long time...

Re: Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Finally Gets A Release Date, Open World Confirmed

Elbarbo

So much complaining and people that judge a game before its release...
MP need to do something different, 15 years after the 3rd entry. Open areas (because when you play MP Remastered, you feel that the game is "tight" and not modern, even if it's still a good one).
Using vehicles like Halo is a step, Samus need to pitot her space vessel too.
New psychic powers are in.
Open spaces are needed, but not that desert that looks like Pokemon Scarlet XD
Nintendo rebooted the game because they wanted more quality, you'll have it in december, finally.
Let the game be played, and judge after.

Re: It's Official, The Mario Movie Sequel Is Based On Mario Galaxy

Elbarbo

@N00BiSH You're caricaturing my words, and the desires of those who want more in the future, it's not fair. The movie is not realistic at all, it's just graphically "powerful" (we're not with a Mario 1993 movie style XD). A Mushroom Kingdom like that to explore would be awsome for me. With beautiful music and animations.
Sorry, I'm not fluent in English, it's not easy for me to express what I feel. No offense, sir, but I find your messages are not in a good mood, if you want to be a bit more constructive, it will be well received.

Re: Nintendo Direct Announced For Friday, 12th September 2025

Elbarbo

We already know some exclusives :
-Legends Pokemon Z-A
-Metroid Prime 4 : Beyond
-Kirby Air Riders
-Splatoon Riders
-Tomodachi Life : Une vie de rêve (FR)
-Rhythm Paradise Groove
-Professor Layton and the New World of Steam
-The Duskbloods
-Hyrule Warrios : The Seal Chronicles

I guess a bit of Mario is coming.

Ah, and news about that Monolith Soft's old RPG waiting for an announcement...

Finally, I don't expect a lot of more games, but release dates.
I hope being a bit surprised and excited.
