Re: Feature: Best Nintendo Switch Run And Gun Games

Ardisan

Highly recommend every Inti and capcom game on this list, especially Megaman Z/ZX collection and Luminous Avenger.

I recommend Cuphead too but Im pretty sure the people interested probably already played or are going to someday.

Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl #46 - Sonic The Hedgehog 3

Ardisan

Feel like the japanese boxart of Sonic are the only good ones. Its the only ones that got the design of the sonic characters right: proportions, color, and the aesthetic all capture how I've seen Mega Drive Sonic. The European and American ones always make the characters look even more like a alien, especially how hideous the NA ones looks imo. Why are Sonics quills detached from his head, bruh erase the dang lines.

Re: Video: 12 Exciting New Games Coming To Nintendo Switch In June

Ardisan

None of these interest me except maybe Ninjala. Ill just stick to older games rn and wait for the Smash ARMS dlc that im hyped for. Paper Mario Origiami King as well.

Also does dlc really count as new game? New content yes, but new game seems like the wrong word for it. EDIT: Didnt notice the subtitle, guess they didn't have a lot to put on this list :/

Re: Review: Bug Fables: The Everlasting Sapling - A Lovely Indie Tribute To Paper Mario

Ardisan

I've never grew up with Paper Mario so I don't have a emotional attachment like others do, but I rather if they tried something unique with the Paper Mario formula than just use the same formula but maybe make it more challenging. If I want RPG Paper Mario id just play the first two, so I think ima pass unless this game is on a big sale or something.

Also I can never get recommended this game as Bug Fables, only as a Paper Mario clone by a indie dev whose a big fan of series. getting people going "If you want a new Paper Mario game, play this! The next Paper Mario is just gonna be a joke anyway". Like its as though this game doesn't have its own identity (Not to say it doesn't, i've never played, its just the perception I get), just Paper Mario for people that want TTYD 2.0 and annoyed the the series isnt the same as the first two.

I am happy that the big fans of the first 2 (kinda 3 in some extent) Paper Mario games got a new game of the same vein though, because its true Nintendo isn't doing anything like them anymore.

Re: FUZE4 Nintendo Switch To Livestream Learn-To-Code Workshop For Aspiring Game Devs

My first exposure to programming was GML with Game Maker 8 and Studio. I didnt get too far in it because it felt like majority of the tutorials online basically make you copy and paste code, which is hard for me to understand what im doing and grasping what each function does.
I'll create something like Space Invaders or Zelda 1, but id later forget most of the material the next day. I've tried Unity but I couldnt understand anything going on in the interface so I bailed quickly sadly. I'd probably understand it if I gave it a chance like I did with the 3d modeling tool Blender (which also has a convoluted ui).

Re: Famitsu Poll Reveals Readers' Favourite Fire Emblem Games

My Top 5:

1. Echoes
2. Sacred Stones
3. Blazing Blade
4. Tharcia 776
5. Fates Conquest (I absolutely hate every character and every part of this story. Only putting it on here because the map design and gameplay is really good)

My Honerable Mentions:

Genealogy. It has the best story in the series but the worst map design in the series imo, yes I say that despite putting Echoes at 1. The map design made me quit the game because of how much it drags the pace of the game.
Three Houses. Great game but I dislike the monastery micro management stuff, although interesting reads, it became a chore.

Never played the Ike games so idk what makes them so great.

Re: Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics Will Actually Feature A 52nd Game

Ardisan

I feel lied to Nintendium. I was feeling really ecstatic to get myself immersed in the multilayered worlds of 51 clubhouse games and you ruined it. There is a 52nd... You betrayed ME* Nintendium as you broken MY* trust and the MANY OTHERS* that believed in you. This isnt Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics, this is a WORLDWIDE* slander to all clubhouse game collections out there. I hope they burn in the sweltering heat of my mothers basement.

Re: Nintendo Switch System Update 10.0.2 Is Now Live

@Sensible Its uncommon. Every controller can have a chance to be poorly manufactured and faulty. The most common complaint with the pro controller I hear is the dpad.

I never had drift because I got a 8bitdo SN30 Pro+ for like $38 instead so I cant give any more information of Pro Controller issues aside from comments I see online.

Re: Frustrated Super Smash Bros. Fans Get #FixUltimateOnline Trending On Social Media

Ardisan

Seems like theres always that one ignorant folk that doesnt understand the problem and always appears in these discussions. I call it the "It doesnt happen to me so it doesnt for anyone else" mentality. They usually tell people to "LUL GET LAN ADAPTER AND BETTER INTERNET", ignoring valid complaints that other people have.

This goes farther than awful netcode. The content of the online feature is a problem as well. Smash quickplays barely works. You get a lot of matches not on your assign ruleset, you can get in lobby hell where youre stuck and cant find players because one player that joined has poor connection and screwed your queue, There isnt a icon showing other players latency like most online games (also giving you a choice to not fight them), and you dont match up with people with your skill level depending on gsp everytime. Also why cant I switch my character, no wonder most people never do rematches.

Arena's are way better and Im glad they added changing ruleset in arena but why do we have to sit there during long lines doing nothing but spectate. How about add a training room or idk, let more than one fight happen in a arena?

Id rather Smash4s For Glory/For Fun system than Quickplay if it meant a more consistent experience. Not like the netcode is any different...
