Following the cancellation of this year's E3, major first and third-party video game companies have decided to host their own events. Ubisoft - best known for series such as Assassin's Creed - has now announced its own digital conference.
It's called 'Ubisoft Forward' and will take place on 12th July, which is a month after EA's digital presentation. Ubisoft promises exclusive game news, reveals and more. Here's the official announcement:
And here is a bit more about it from the official Ubisoft website:
With physical gaming shows around the world postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Ubisoft will be hosting its first digital conference, called Ubisoft Forward, on July 12. Get ready for an E3-style showcase with plenty of exclusive game news, exciting reveals, and much more.
Apart from this, IGN is hosting its own 'Summer of Gaming' event in June, and at the start of this month, Geoff Keighley announced the Summer Game Fest - an "industry-wide celebration" featuring four months of video game news and events.
Will you be watching Ubisoft's digital broadcast on 12th July? Tell us down below.

It’s hard to believe Nintendo is not hosting a Nintendo Direct this summer..
Rayman please
Oh this looks fun! A date to save and watch live for sure. Hopefully some switch ports announced or a new Raymond.
@Lagster_YT
A new Rayman game would be phenomenal! Also excited for more Gods and Monsters info...A Zelda-like in ancient Greece sounds awesome.
Why hasn't there been a sequel to Rayman Legends? It did well enough to warrant a Switch port. Instead, we got Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle which to be fair is good game but I would prefer a Rayman game.
Hoping for more information on Gods & Monsters and Watch_Dogs Legion, as well as a new Nintendo/Ubisoft collaboration.
Rayman is the only thing I care about and the only thing id play from this company tbh. I've been waiting on a game after Rayman Legends and its been years of nothing but a Rabbids game which I neither wanted or cared about.
Really want some news about Gods & Monsters.
Mario and Rabbids sequel with Geno. That would be worth looking... forward.
Beyond Good & Evil puhleeeeeese.
Can't wait for 'EA Backward'.
I'm sure I'm in the minority here but I'd love for Ubisoft to resurrect Ghost Recon Phantoms for the Switch. One of the best military shooters in my opinion. I played that all the time on PC and then it was abandoned by them and eventually they shut down the game for good. I was soooo bummed The Switch would be a good way to bring back the loyal playerbase it had and fill in more of the void of good military games the Switch is lacking.
What can expect Nintendo from this direct?
Absolutely nothing!!!
Ubisoft has great games but not for switch.
Assasin's creed, ghost reckon, splinder cell, watch dogs are for major consoles not for android platforms as switch.
Every day i get in Nintendo online store to see the new releases.
The only that i see are hundreds of very expensive indie games and very old expensive remakes.
@MortalKombat2007 Sometimes companies put out ports of older games to gauge general interest in the series and see if a sequel is financially feasible. If legends didn't sell decent-ish we might have to wait a while.
@roro26 Just think... while others trip and stumble, they'll have the last laugh! ( cue demented cackling )
Meh. Their last show was garbage, so I probably won't make myself suffer yet again.
@roro26 where’d you hear they weren’t hosting a Direct this summer? Considering that after Clubhouse games they’ve got nothing announced for this year, (like no 1st party titles I think) I think they’ll probably have one in June or July.
@roro26 prob don't have enough titles
Isn't microsoft also doing stuff in July? I think everything will be in July (also the Nintendo Direct).
Just Dance 2021. Yay?
Great that they're still having a presentation of some sort.
Please skip the live musical performances.
As much as I'd love a new 2D or 3D rayman all I'm possibly expecting is another assassin's Creed port. Hopefully the ezio collection this time.
@roro26 indeed, it's much easier to just wait and see. But many people inexplicably prefer to waste time and efforts on the former.
I'd really like to hear some goods news about Beyond Good & Evil 2. There was a rumour a couple of years ago that Nintendo had invested and it was coming to Switch (possibly as an exclusive) but that looks less likely now.
Sure. I'll watch. See no reason not to
@roro26 Well, the news was framed as Nintendo not hosting a Direct in June. Seeing as summer is also home to July, August (and part of September), it's very well possible they may have something planned for later in the summer
A drinking game is due - drink a shot for every game that has killing in it. Also drink a shot for every scowling face. Also drink a shot for every Tom Clancy game.
@roro26 They're not hosting a Nintendo direct in June, not all Summer.
@PoorGeno how could they do that? Makes zero sense
So Ubi's going off on their own for this venture, huh? Cool, hope they have some nice stuff. I'm assuming some Assassin's Creed content will show up, and Gods and Monsters, but I can't think of any more surefire games-looks like I'll be watching to find out what's on offer.
For Nintendo, I think some ports of games like Beyond Good and Evil, Splinter Cell, and the old Rayman games are feasible, and maybe a new Mario+ Rabbids sequel (with Rayman) could be announced. At least there's some fun to be had this Summer with announcements, I just hope the Big N joins in :/
Ok. I don't expect games to be of PS5 or Xbox X Series graphics quality, but how about some of these:
Mario and Rabbids Kingdom 2
Rayman Classics Collection (every single Rayman game from the past)
Prince of Persia Collection (all of them)
Splinter Cell Collection (all of them)
Beyond Good and Evil 1 HD Edition
Settlers
Outland (with Housemarque)
ZombiU 2 and I'll eternally grateful.
@PickledKong64 Zero sense was that we got Mario + Rabbids in the first place. If they turn it up from ten to eleven, Geno. That isometric view in the first one kept saying MarioRPG... MarioRPG... MarioRPG... I doubt I'm the only one.
