If yall like Saturn Bomberman and the SNES games, there is a fangame called Power Bomberman that has tons of effort put into it with EVERY (no joke) single Bomberman character including guest ones like Wario playable and tons of game modes. It's a fangame so its PC only if that matters.
As for this game I'm playing it day one. Crossplay is huge.
@Fangleman32 I did its years later. Wish I did my first playthrough with it, might have enjoyed it more. Definitely doing BotW2 on Ryujinx/Yuzu this time around.
Just watched it.
It's fine but I found it pretty boring. I'm definitely not the market for the movie (I'm not a kid). It doesn't really offer much for a older fan outside of nostalgia pander references.
Constant references just don't work for me, they only feel good to me as a form of dessert, not a full coarse meal. Makes all the references feel hollow when they aren't hidden either and done in an intelligent way. The main cast aren't as interesting as the secondary ones that I feel don't get enough of the spotlight (I dislike DK in this movie tho. I'm not even sure why he even needed to speak).
7/10. Very-very safe movie on the most part and I can't say it would leave much of an impression going forward outside of the visuals. I'd remember the terrible first Mario movie more than it since despite its poor quality it was a lot more fun of a watch.
A low budget game with a $60 price tag on a niche series. Honestly this seems like good sales figures to me unless I'm misunderstanding how this stuff works, which is highly likely.
I find the 2d Zelda games have the best overworlds that doesn't feel empty and overly big without a booming civilization.
Would love to see what botw overworld looked like before calamity but even with that its easily better than OoTs overworld, come on.
Edit: wish I could of picked Termina, just didnt notice it, especially since it makes no sense on this list. Of any of the zelda 3d overworlds Termina was the most memorable.
Gonna go complete cynical and say its probably just spoiler alerts for more terribad unconsistent Fire Emblem writing and new pictures of newcomers that look nothing like Fire Emblem characters of the past but FatesSuperfan#289 will pretend Fire Emblem always looked like them because they have a track record of two games to go off of as reference.
Not really missing out imo. KOF games after they went 3d arent for me and its not even entirely because of the graphics (which is average) im talking gameplay as well. They also went extremely safe while Capcom and Arc Sys try more with their IP. Which wasnt always the case back in the day.
Outside of that, I hope the Switch version of Samurai Shodown gets the rollback patch.
Despite growing up with Nintendo systems. I always prefered PS1's (and I guess Saturn as well) graphical aesthetic compared to N64. I love the transistion of 3d and pixel art. N64 textures were always very blurry, even the 2d games so I wasnt a fan. Although Rare were legends at utilizing that blur in their games so I like how those games look.
Seems like indie devs like that aesthetic as well and im glad some are doing it. Hopefully this games gameplay grabs my attention when I later buy it because im already in love with the style its inspired by.
Oh I guess now they are going after music covers. Thought it was just other fan works like fan games. Wonder when they will start going after fan art too...
Assist Trophy are way more special than costumes. They have their own programmed abilities, and you actually get to see their personalities in game. I may have wanted majority of those assist trophy characters playable but at least they are more than a costume for a mii fighter.
This would look even better with a HD texture pack like ai upscaling! Some games like Paper Mario maybe not since their textures are pixel art with heavy filtering so it would benefit those just toggling one-point filtering.
While I agree the 3d the games have rn look horrid, thats pretty obvious, but I wouldnt want this to be what pokemon looks like. I get what its going for, a nostalgic piece of art that captures the gen1 aesthetic very nicely. My problem is that while it captures the look, it limits itself to the early gen1 color palette which in 3d doesnt pop very much. Id say this is a good start, but rather they take the aesthetics of the games illustrative art of today which lends itself to more vibrance.
I have zero interest in rom dumps. Please remaster these games. Advance 2 and 3 would greatly benefit from a widescreen view as the level design is very flawed, especially 3's.
Really got to have posts about C&D every fan mod article, huh.
Would be cool if people actually talked about the mod more in here.
That aside. Wish Mario 64 DS had a good proper 3d analog physics mod (theres a analog mod but its not as good as original 64 or other 3d titles). Game doesnt handle quick turns well so sideflips are slower to do and less fluid.
My community is Cavestory and despite being attacked by a 1mil followers streamer that doesn't care about our community whatsoever. We still survived and thats because of so many awesome indie communities and more giving us support. Noita, Omori, Undertale/Deltarune, Trans community, etc were so very kind to us and helped keep our very small community on the place.
@Daniel36 Heck im a artist as well and I use Krita a free software for 2D visuals, used the free software pxtone for chiptune music and sfx, and Godot as my free game engine of choice. Just now im learning 3D with Blender like you mentioned, teaching myself through Youtube tutorials, reddit, etc.
Its 100% easier to get started now a days. Way more free access to tools. Only requirement is time.

Re: Random: People Actually Love The Talking Flowers In Super Mario Bros. Wonder
@Nintendo_Thumb It wouldn't be Nintendo Life if people didn't complain about people complaining about Nintendo games.

@LikelySatan Adorable that's so cute.
Re: Unity To Charge Developers A Fee Each Time A Game Is Installed Next Year
Guess its Godots time to shine. Always thought indie scene should embrace a more open-source engine. Not sure how porting would go through.

When I read "Mangavania" I thought it was gonna be manga panels. I was picturing something Comix Zone like in a metroidvania format.

@LeooSaGoh And Persona 1.
