Reminder: Splatoon 2's "Bonus One-Off" Splatfest Is Now Live

Pulled the trigger, and went for Ketchup. Solely to overcome the odds from mayos last win.

I went ketchup.

Been playing this game a bit since I found this out a week ago. Should be fun as I got the game after they were done with the Splatfests and I've noticed a lot more life in the game since it was announced.

I’m gonna boot up my copy of Splatoon 2 and join team ketchup! They gotta win this time around 🤞
Hopefully this isn’t the last splatfest, and Nintendo will keep them coming regularly.

Team Mayo for me. Still love this game and looking forward to playing this weekend.

Salt and sauce is clearly the only acceptable answer and this game is missing out.

Is this Splatfest available for UK/Europe?

Rarely play Splatoon 2 lately, but it stil has the more hours logged than any other game on my console by a lot. But I will play Splatfest. And, I picked ketchup because I think red looks good. But in real life, I eat mayo more than ketchup.

Please may they continue Splatfests, please! Recycle old teams, assets, stages, I don't care. I will be playing the heck out of Splatfest this weekend and I hope to see you there. Team Ketchup FTW.

Hopefully it won't be the last Splatfest. Even if they just re-hashed the old splat fest teams, it would still be fun. A chance to breath more life into Splatoon 2. ^^

I hope they have a good Shifty Station. Some of them were awesome and very creative. But some others were among the worst arenas in the game. I'm also looking forward to hanging out in the square with the party atmosphere. It's weird how much I enjoy that.

Shoot I don't even remember the last time I hopped on Splatoon 2! But I do wanna play this! I'll have to play a little today or tomorrow to try and remember how to play. XD

Mayo is gross, Ketchup is less gross but its more limited in uses.

I use ketchup more tho so ima pick ketchup.

@Shade_Koopa Would be good if they just reused all the old teams and stages then put them into one large Splatfest cycle until nobody plays Splatoon 2 anymore. Can't see any harm in it.

Looking forward to the party atmosphere, different coloured paint and the funky music. Thanks for the reminder guys.

i hope this is the start of them at least recycling splattfests, these are such charming events and a great way for rematches and bringing the communities together for a quick event

I guess you could say that things are going to get "saucy", during this Splatfest. 🤔😆

I couldn't decide which team to be on, so I let my kids pick. I thought they were going to pick Ketchup, but it was a unanimous vote for Mayo!

I hope this brings on a Splatoon revival. I would surely play more if they kept doing the splatfests. I've missed many even when I already had the game, so I don't care if they're repeat ones. I gather from the comments, most wouldn't either.

Team ketchup again. Time for revenge. Hopefully this isn't the last splatfest. I still play regular but the splatfest is fun change of pace. Hard to play turf war without, unless it's w/ friends or family.

Wow, every match ends with unstable connection here in eastern US. Tried 5 matches, all loaded, then lost connection soon after starting the match.

My second match was 100x match. And so many named teams. This is actually hard so far and fun.

That sucks I'm Eastern US, my match are playing okay but I'm getting communication errors after the match or as it trying to start a new one.

I hope this Splatfest does well enough that Nintendo considers bringing back monthly Splatfests even if it is just repeating the old ones.

@MyNameIsRandy that's what I meant, communication errrors. All the sudden I'm the only one playing on the map. I moved my phone farther away, and that may have been the culprit, though it hasn't been a problem before.

@WoomyNNYes oh my matches are finishing. So we're not getting the same error. Most of my matches have been against Japanese players, have your's? That could be part of the problem

@WoomyNNYes I’m from western US. Having the exact same problem. Even got a message saying if the disconnection continues i’ll have a temporary ban. Not sure if it’s a server problem or playing with/against those in other countries more then usual. But it’s certainly a problem

I went with my heart and picked ketchup, what a mistake my teammates couldn't fire a splattershot to save their life.

@MyNameIsRandy i played against an all Japanese usernames team once tonight.

Been having trouble getting matches as well. Playing with friends and it takes forever to fill one spot, or it doesn't fill and we disconnect. Takes a few tries to get a game going. Then we'll play a few and get booted again. It started out fine earlier in the day and then got worse

That feeling when the less popular team is probably gonna win again 130 to 170 because...math?

Still annoyed they killed support after a year! Yet other online games get support for many years, I mean look at warframe, rocket league, overwatch etc

This was Nintendo's exclusive online hit and yet they couldn't support it

I got on and played for an hour or so. It was fun but it really didn't feel like many people came back. I know I'm out of practice but I felt like I was playing only against die-hard fans who have been playing regularly since launch - and levels reflected that.

Salmon Run on the other hand was just as fun as I remembered! By far my favorite mode and I would still be playing if they added some more maps and even just one or two different modes. Maybe an 8 player mode or a choose your weapon but it's even harder, mode.

My play time is probably 40% Salmon Run, 30% single player and only 30% turf war. I never even hopped on ranked.
