If you missed your chance the first time around, or if you're hoping to enjoy a second bout, you'll be pleased to know that Ninjala is about to host its second open beta test.
You can see the timings for the event below; all you need to do to take part is head to the Nintendo Switch eShop and download the free Ninjala software (which you can do as we speak). Then simply load up the game at the time of the event and join in the fun.
As a quick reminder, Ninjala's release date got pushed back to the end of June due to coronavirus issues. All the more reason to be grateful for this second beta test, we suppose!

oh heck yea! im excited to try this out! i missed out on the first test so thisll be fun! its a splatoon clone, right? im not sure what kind of game it is
I completely forgot about this the first time around, so I'll definitely try to not forget this time.
I really hope GungHo have been able to fix the numerous issues that plagued the previous online demo because the game seemed to be a fun experience from the solitary match I was able to enter. The concept of using different types of gum as abilities is interesting and the Splatoon influences are evident here.
