I’m cool with keycards, but I’ll only spend half at max of what I would for a physical cartridge just like I do with almost all my other digital only purchases.

I love Star Wars and will be supporting this one as long as it runs well. I’m excited to get some of these games I missed out on after stopping at my ps4 pr.

Imho the 4k and FPS increase should be free-5$ depending on how much programming goes into it. Games with switch 2 dlc added can be 10-20 though depending on how substantial the add ons are. Again, just my opinion with no programming knowledge.

I’m glad the Zelda updates are free for subscribers though. It would be awesome to see more of that offered or even 5-10$ off upgrade prices for ones they can’t do for free.

The NA preorders have a hype I haven’t seen since the Wii. I know people intending to wait in line while also having PCs and cells ready to preorder online too. This thing is going to be impossible to find.

I always prefer resolution to FPS.

I do get a kick out of the crowd that is adamant that DLSS isn’t legitimate or real on the switch 2 somehow. Bless their livid little hearts.

I hated this game so much but I still kind of want to play it again if the fixes actually make it beatable. I never got passed the mushroom level or something like that.

This is fun and I like it. However I wonder how the uninformed consumer may comprehend the bad FPS in the video camera closeups. We know it’s just an optional add on and you’re not even playing those screens. But the fact that they zoomed in and did closeups showing it may confuse people who don’t have a clue what they’re looking at.

Wish eternal darkness and rogue squadron could have been in that GameCube game list.

I wonder why. That seems kinda strange to me.

I wish they’d make a rhythm game that uses L, R, and R2 like frequency used to use.

I have a C2 and a C3 oled, 65”. Love gaming on it so much.

Something that confused me in a Nintendolife preview was apparently the gyro control is only activated by locking on (I believe). Is this true that you can’t have gyro the whole time or did I misunderstand their comment?

I hope they do a switch 2, mouse control patch/upgrade option.

But does it blend?!

I just wish we were getting the master chief collection too. Would be so monumental and historical. But as it is, it’s a decent release list imho. I think game cube with rogue leader and super monkey ball was my fav.

How will they determine what switch 1 games will have the switch 2 “paid upgrade” and what ones will be free? And can they please clarify what exactly the free upgrades will be like (resolution bump, increased FPS, etc)?

I’m sure they can dip into the North American stock if needed since we won’t be getting the system any time soon or if we do it’ll be for $800 bucks or something.

I’ll need to find out what this game is all about. I’ve been curious about it ever since it was improved but still never really read what the game is.

I’m waiting to find out if hogwarts will be an upgrade title or have to buy new. Then I’ll have a better idea of what I want. Very glad tears of kingdom is a free upgrade for nintendo online+ members though, saved myself some money there since that was also on my list.

Any clarification on n64 upgrade features also working on switch 1?

Speaking of control options, has anyone investigated the potential of the camera and joycon working like a wiimote with super accurate pointer control? It would be like a reverse Wii setup but still be equally as functional wouldn’t it? If so I’m really hoping for a return of “light gun” gaming like those amazing resident evil shooters and the house of the dead series. 🤞

The delay is rough but I’ll just keep my fingers crossed for no price increase. Though a 46% tariff or whatever it is, I can’t imagine they won’t. I’m guessing $50-80 minimum increase for consoles and 10$-20$ increase for games.

Pretty exciting first round of treehouse reveals. I’m hoping we see some more third party games in the near future for comparison with how other consoles and handhelds are running them.

I’d still like to see a smoothing option added on the nes and snes. When I hacked my snes mini I did the function that kept their scan line filter but removed the lines to just retain the smoothing that it used and the games looked fantastic.

7/10 for me. Didn’t touch on nearly enough first party. No Mario 3d? Could have used a lot more “upgrade ready” game list (plus prices). A few more GameCube games ready at launch. Really was hoping for master chief collection. And I guess it does nothing improvement wise for old switch games, which really disappointed me most of all since I have 800+ game backlog.

But I still pre ordered. Or, got in line rather.

I’ll give this one a shot just because of how beautiful it is. I keep hoping for clarification on upgrading vs paying brand new price for hogwarts while on the topic of good looking games.

Unless this has substantial content or is dirt cheap I may just stick to watching a video of anything helpful.

Great way to end the presentation, though I kinda had hoped for a team up with Mario. Looked fantastic though.

Looking very good even if it’s not oled. I’m curious to see if switch 1 games will play in handheld but with docked mode settings on it.
