The more Doom the better!!

I loved the last game in the series so much. Never finished the first 2 since I got too lost in them. Cant remember if I finished the 3rd person Kain game either. But that last one was a masterpiece.

I foolishly bought like 800 games or so. So I don’t mind sticking with the switch forever. But I’d like the new system to be Backwards compatible, then I’ll move on.

Is this the game where some of the resident evil 4 staff went on to make and I believe didn’t work in resident evil 5 instead? I am probably misremembering this a bit.

4/10. If it were 20$ I’d say 6/10. And if it had another dozen games, 8/10. If it was snes, 9/10.

Just reminds me that I want the compete saga and Lego lord of the rings on the switch still.

I wish it had more games on it. Or instead was a snes remix game like the Wii U/3ds ones. Is there any word on free dlc updates or does the game specs not have that in it?

A co op hades experience is appealing, a turtles hades style game is extra appealing. Gonna have to get this one.

I’m disappointed they didn’t do a dlc batch for the last Mario party game. 😔

Fantastic interview. I’m so excited to see more of their updates and changes, especially knowing some original developers are involved with this.

The only reason I’ve been “okay” with the wait til next year for the successor is that the rumors of the release plan is to make sure there are plenty of systems available. Hearing this is the case right from the most reliable source around has made me feel at ease.

If the reviews are good and the content is fulfilling, I think I’ll grab it for 30. I’d prefer they’d do some snes stuff though. Enough with the endless 8 bit love, it’s had the last decade or so. How about some 16bit era.

Is there footage of this one yet? It’s my fav light gun game ever so I’m pretty excited for it.

The issues with the releases makes me want them to put out rare replay with adjusted/added games (like their goldeneye remaster that’s still unreleased) instead.

I wish they would have removed the blur effect. I remember replaying it after all these years with my buddies and then getting grenaded with the one that does it to you. So then I killed myself in multiplayer thinking it would go away… nope 😂🤣🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️.

That’s a bummer. I’m learning to play the piano and wanted to get some video game tunes in my repertoire.

I think taking ambitious for their time games and helping them reach their potential now is the best aspect of Night dive’s remastering work. And one title I think of when it comes to that is Shadows of the empire. I’d love to see some modernization of that gem.

I didn’t like this one. Maybe played it half way through and just stopped. I enjoyed 3 enough to finish it though and was hoping they’d implement some changes to update it. But it sounds like they didn’t do anything appealing with this one to warrant a second try. Not even new content. Pass.

I loved the first. Depending on how much has improved and how much it costs I will probably get this. However, I also hope during all this time they’ve also been working on a surprise sequel that will come out soon thereafter too with all these gameplay improvements implemented . 🤞

This is one of my fav movies ever and one of my fav Xbox games! I never thought I’d see it re released. Such excellent news. PLEASE be in the switch. 🤞

I appreciate authenticity in gaming. If this game takes place in Africa or is about African history/mythology, then I fail to see how it’s pushing an inclusive narrative just because it has a black protagonist. Nor do I see how it’s forcing diversity. It’s literally just being accurate. And moreso, who cares if the protagonist of a game is a different color, sex, or even species than you? Thats the joy of video games. Taking an avatar on an adventure that you probably can’t do yourself in real life.

I feel these people triggered by the game are the same ones who don’t want minorities or the opposite sex playing roles in film and tv that they believe are already “determined” to be white (little mermaid comes to mind). Yet now a game exists that isn’t about a white dude and they’ve lost their minds about it because it’s “being too inclusive”. 🙄🙄🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

In my opinion yes. I’m going to wait til it’s between 39.99 and 49.99 before I buy it. Apologies to anyone I’ve infuriated with this comment.

Remastering the SNES trilogy with remastered sound, streamlined level selection, and an entire new area/levels/bosses. Also every character selectable for every level.

I have a coworker like that! Lol. “Well if I take the time to do that extra entry it’s going to take 8 more seconds. And I have 3 other people on the crew. So that’s 3 times 8 and that’s 24. And then at each location we’re gonna have to do it. So that’s like ten locations a day times 24 so 240 seconds extra. But hey, I’ll do it if you want, I’m just saying it’s going to cost you time”. Though that guys excuse is laziness and getting out of work rather than actually being thoughtful like Sakurai.

So many articles about studios shutting down. Studios cutting staff. Mergers and studios being lost in the reshuffle. The industry has become beyond depressing and is bordering apocalyptic.

So thank you very much Nintendolife and @Franw for providing us with some positivity in the gaming industry for once. And really, for industry in general. I think mental health is key to having a good functioning work environment. It’s far too often ignored and sacrificed for the almighty $$. Knowing Playtonic functions this way actually makes me want to support them even more as a company.

I’ve thought all this time that some sort of summer video game competition was going on. So since I think those competition tournaments are kinda lame (no offense to those who partake, just not my thing) I’ve never clicked a single link about this thing. And now I find out it’s actually a game! Lol. I had no clue.
