The demo was pretty great, and I love how the game looks and runs on Switch 2!
Nevertheless, I'll wait for the reviews before I buy it, as I have no clue how the whole game will be, it's really hard to figure out just by playing the demo.
1080 and 30fps when docked, really?? I'm sorry, but I'm not getting this game until there's a huge sale. I want to play it, but I won't support laziness from a big team like Bandai Namco. Besides, it's GKC when the file size is 54GB. I understand it when the size is less than 20 (not worth it), or when it's too large to fit. But in this case? There's no excuse.
I'm really impressed with all the negativity here! Guys, sure it hasn't been the best Direct ever, but... Look at this first half of the year!
January: FFVII Remake February: Dragon Quest VII, Fallout 4, Resident Evil VII, VIII and IX March: Monster Hunter Stories 3 April: Pragmata May: 007 First Light, Indiana Jones, Tales of Arise June: Adventures of Elliot, FFVII Rebirth
When have we seen this kind of third party support...? And everything looks GREAT!
Also keep in mind that this has been pretty much all about the first half of the year. Barely no games for later, they will be shown in the next presentation.
And for exclusive games, just wait for the general Nintendo Direct!
I'm so glad! It probably won't reach 1.5 million in total, but at least it's something, and I'm sure it will sell more over time. If it surpasses 2 million (though I hope it reaches 3 million at least), that will be enough for the series, which isn't known for crazy sales numbers.
We can still have faith in a potential Metroid Prime 5!! After the ending of 4, you're left wanting more. They have a very, very strong foundation, they just have to build upon it, and if they listen to the community, they'll have learned what people liked least about this one, and they'll give us a masterpiece with Prime 5.
I said it already and I say it again. What I hope to see is:
-Switch 2 upgrades for The Witcher 3, Nier: Automata and the Doom series.
-Trailers and (hopefully) release dates for The Duskbloods, Elden Ring, Indiana Jones, Project M (from Bloober), Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Professor Layton, The Adventures of Elliot and Fallout 4.
-And announces of these rumored games:
-Expedition 33
-Red Dead Redemption 2
-Metaphor
-The Kingdom Hearts games
-Doom: The Dark Ages
-The Resident Evil remakes
-Silent Hill 2 Remake
-Starfield
With all that I'd be more than happy
And if we get a trailer for Dragon Quest XII, I'll just cry.
I want Switch 2 upgrades for games like The Witcher 3, Nier: Automata and the Doom series. I want release dates for games like The Duskbloods, Elden Ring, Indiana Jones, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Professor Layton, The Adventures of Elliot and Fallout 4. I want new game announcements, like the rumored Expedition 33, Red Dead Redemption 2, Metaphor, the Kingdom Hearts games, Doom: The Dark Ages, or the Resident Evil remakes.
And I want to know more about that secret Bloober project.
I sincerely believe Nintendo is doing the right thing by giving third-party companies a big focus during the first year. The Switch 2 has the potential to become "another one" when talking about multiplatform releases, but players need to buy the games, not just settle for Nintendo's own titles.
The Switch 2 can finally become a Nintendo console that ISN'T just for Nintendo games and indie titles. Everything has a place here.
@AstroTheGamosian I thought that cliffhanger was adressed in the Switch version (I haven't played yet). Oh well, then it REALLY needs a sequel haha. And after the sequel, I'd encourage them to move on to other series. A new IP from Momolith would be awesome!
@CaptainQuo Man, The Xenoblade games really need Switch 2 upgrades! I understand you are angry about Animal Crossing and Mario Wonder rereleases, as those really didn't need much, but the Xenoblades...? They look very bad in handheld! Especially XC2.
A Switch 2 version is a must.
Also DKC Returns NEEDED the Switch 2 upgrade, now we can finally say the game is worth it. And it's for free, so what's the problem?
For new games, since June last year, you got MK World, DK Bananza, Pokemon ZA, Hyrule Warriors AoI, Kirby Air Riders, Metroid Prime 4 and now Mario Tennis Fever.
7 games in 9 months. That's not bad at all! Games take time to be developed, you know.
@Polvasti @JohntheRaptor Hollow Knight has many platforming sections, and it's not a Super Mario game. Zelda has meler combat, and it's not a Bayonetta game. In Metroid you shoot at things, but that doesn't make it a Doom game.
Metroid is NOT a shooter! I thought that was clear a long time ago...
If Metroid Prime is an FPS, then Resident Evil 7 is too.
Funny enough, I have already bought both, great games, and I haven't bought neither MK World, DK Bananza, Pokemon Legends ZA nor Kirby Air Riders. Am I swimming against the current? Lol
PS: I plan on getting DK Bananza later on, don't worry!
We really need release dates for Fire Emblem, Splatoon Raiders, Yoshi and Rhythm Heaven, but above all, we need to know what other games will be coming by the end of this year (Mario? Zelda?).
@JHDK That's strange, to me it felt a lot like a Metroid Prime experience (more 3 than 1, though). I enjoyed it throughly, and I recommend it to all Metroid fans out there. And I played all the games in the (fantastic) series.
My list as of now would be: -Metroid Prime Remastered -Metroid Zero Mission -Metroid Dread -Metroid Prime 4 -Metroid Prime 3 -Metroid Fusion -Super Metroid -Metroid Other M -Metroid Samus Returns -Metroid Prime 2 (great game too, but the only one I couldn't finish...)
Switch 2 will sell over 20 million units within its first year... That's insane! And with only Mario Kart as a system seller. Whenever an exclusive Pokemon, a Super Mario, a Zelda, a Smash Bros and an Animal Crossing come out, it'll sell like hotcakes!
I'm very glad, it's a fantastic console, I love it. Well deserved.
Well, there are a few reasons why this might have happened.
-It was released WAY too close to Mario Kart World and Kirby Air Riders.
-It's WAY too similar to Mario Kart, it controls exactly the same way. It lacks personality.
-It looks like cr*p on the Switch 1, especially when playing couch coop. You can't see what's going on!
-The Switch 2 upgrade took a long time to be released, and there's no standalone version.
-It's too expensive.
I bet if they had delayed it until now, releasing it on the Switch 2 at the same time, it would've sold much better.
This one actually looks very nice!
After the great Origami King and a replay of Thousand Year Door (the best indeed), I'm eager to play a new one, and this could certainly do the trick.
I'll wait for reviews from sites I trust, though. Like this one.
@hcfwesker I believe you played the infamous RE6 and stayed there, but RE 7 and 8 are great games, despite having kind of vampires (in RE VIII) as you say. You're really missing out.
And RE9 looks amazing!
I tell you as a real fan of the originals. REmake, RE2, Code Veronica and 4 are all among my favorite games of all time.
@hcfwesker The original Resident Evil already included a lot of other beast to fight, apart from the zombies... And RE4 already gave us a different type of zombies that weren't really zombies (they could talk and so).
I'm getting A LOT of games these months, but I can't afford to buy them all now, so I'll have to choose.
For now I'm getting day one Ys X Proud Nordics and the RE trilogy, but I'll eventually buy DQ VII Reimagined, Reanimal, Mario Tennis Fever, Monster Hunter Stories 3 (if it's as good as it seems) and Fatal Frame 2. Plus Dispatch whenever it gets patched, and Pragmata in April.
A general Direct would be better, but if it's a Partner Showcase, I really hope we get Switch 2 upgrades for games like Witcher 3 and Nier Automata, we see in action games like Pragmata, 007 and FFVII Rebirth, we get release dates for Elden Ring, Borderlands 4 and Indiana Jones, and well, we get confirmation that all the rumoured games are finally coming to Switch 2. You know, RDR2, E33, Metaphor, Starfield, the Kingdom Hearts, Doom Dark Ages, the RE Remakes,...
If all that actually happened, I would be very happy lol.
Niceeeee I'll get it as soon as I finish a couple games I'm playing right now! This looks right up my alley, and I can't care less about that censorship.
Reanimal and the Resident Evils on February, and Fatal Frame 2 on March. So good! Let's hope we also get the Silent Hill games at some point during this year. Fingers crossed.
We certainly need a Big Direct with a huge announcement for the end of the year (Mario 3D or Zelda OoT remake, if possible), and epic trailers and release dates for big titles such as Fire Emblem, Splatoon Raiders and Yoshi.

As long as the game plays and looks as expected, it's enough.
Lol Inazuma Eleven. At least it ended up being a very good game.
This reminds me we are still waiting for a release date on some pretty big AAA from third parties, such as Elden Ring, Bordelands 4 and Indiana Jones. I'm hoping we'll get them all before Summer. These along with REquiem, Pragmata and 007 will keep proving how powerful the system is! If it wasn't already clear...

Re: If You Like Paper Mario's Newest Entry, This Nintendo Music Update Is For You
Such an underrated gem! As someone said, I REALLY want a baby between Origami King and TTYD. That would make the perfect Paper Mario.
The music was also great, so this is good news.
Re: Square Enix Is Making Changes To Its New HD-2D Game Based On Demo Feedback
Can't wait for this game!!
The question is which to get first, FFVII Rebirth or this one...? Releasing both in the same month isn't the best strategy.

Re: Video: Pragmata Demo Side-By-Side Graphics Comparison (Switch 2, Xbox Series S, PS5)
It looks AMAZING on handheld, really impressive stuff.
It's hard to believe that just 10 years ago we were still playing 3DS games...
Re: Square Enix's Gorgeous HD-2D Zelda-Like 'The Adventures Of Elliot' Launches This June
Can't wait for this one!
Rebirth and Elliot released on the same month in diabolical.
Re: PSA: Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Is Surprisingly Cheap On The UK eShop Right Now
The money saved with the discount goes for some external storage lol.
Fantastic game, by the way, much better than Remake. Can't wait to give it another run on Switch 2!

@Jade37 Fine, I'll get Arise then first haha.
It looks better, actually.
Re: Tales Of Arise Comes To Switch 2 In May, Includes Beyond The Horizon DLC
It looks pretty good!
Question: Arise or Berseria remastered?
Re: Oblivion, Skyrim And Fallout Switch 2 Physicals Will All Be Code-In-A-Box, Bethesda Confirms
The real news here is that Indiana Jones comes on a physical cartridge, not even a key card. Plus it looks really really good.
Indy is day one for sure.
The rest will have to wait for a sale...

This is just for the inevitable Switch 2 edition. I hope they do the same treatment with all the games in the series!
Re: Preview: Pragmata Might Wind Up Being The Biggest Surprise Of 2026
I'm really glad all these games are coming to Switch 2!
However, I'm not sure if this is my type of game... A demo would definitely be key here.
Re: Metroid Prime 4 & Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Imprisonment Sales Get Off To A Slow Start

Re: Poll: What Nintendo Switch 2 Games Are You Most Excited For In 2026?
A Yoshi game the most expected one? Sooo strange, specially after Crafted World...
For me, they are Fire Emblem, REquiem, Pragmata, Indiana Jones, Ys X Proud Nordics, Elden Ring and Splatoon Raiders.
And I hope they announce many more things soon!
Re: Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Director Hopes To Share Switch 2 Update In "Very Near Future"
As near future as next week!
Can't wait to see Rebirth running on the Switch 2.
Re: Nintendo Responds To Dispatch Switch Censorship With Official Statement
So basically Ad Hoc didn't bother to adapt the game to the Western audience. And they want us to buy their game nevertheless.
Nope! Sorry, but that's not gonna happen. Do you want us to buy your game? Give it to us in a proper way.
I'll get the game day one as soon as they fix this crappy issue.

Re: DOOM's Switch Release Still Has A Compatibility Issue On Switch 2
These games desperately need Switch 2 upgrades!
The Dark Ages would be a welcome addtion as well.
Re: Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly Remake Switch 2 Demo And Silent Hill f DLC Collab Announced
Reanimal and the Resident Evils on February, and Fatal Frame 2 on March. So good! Let's hope we also get the Silent Hill games at some point during this year. Fingers crossed.
Re: Anniversary: 'The Last Story' Helped The Wii Go Out On A Real-Time High 15 Years Ago
One of my favorite Wii games, a gem that cries for a remake and a sequel to expand that world.
I couldn't be happier if they ever announce it.
Re: Rumour: A Nintendo Direct May Be Coming As Soon As Next Week
We certainly need a Big Direct with a huge announcement for the end of the year (Mario 3D or Zelda OoT remake, if possible), and epic trailers and release dates for big titles such as Fire Emblem, Splatoon Raiders and Yoshi.

Re: Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Imprisonment Surpasses 1 Million Copies Sold
So glad it's selling well! I have it already but didn't have time to play much. It seems to be pretty good though!
And sure it will be selling much more as the Switch 2 increases its numbers.
Re: Poll: Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 Has A Final Title, But What Could It Be?
It SHOULD be Reunion, buy it can't be as Crisis Core has already that name.
Revenge also sounds fine by me, and Revelation (although it sounds too much like Resident Evil XD).
Otherwise, Repugnant will be, no doubt.
Re: Best Final Fantasy Games, Ranked - Switch 2 And Nintendo Systems
@jobvd Yeah, sure, whatever you say.
Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade?

As long as the game plays and looks as expected, it's enough.

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade?
Fantastic port of a pretty good game, although very introductory (Rebirth is better in that regard).
9/10
