Re: Tales Of Arise - Switch 2 Performance And Resolution Revealed

the_beaver

1080 and 30fps when docked, really?? I'm sorry, but I'm not getting this game until there's a huge sale. I want to play it, but I won't support laziness from a big team like Bandai Namco.
Besides, it's GKC when the file size is 54GB. I understand it when the size is less than 20 (not worth it), or when it's too large to fit. But in this case? There's no excuse.

Re: Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase February 2026: Every Announcement, Game Reveal, Trailer

the_beaver

I'm really impressed with all the negativity here! Guys, sure it hasn't been the best Direct ever, but... Look at this first half of the year!

January: FFVII Remake
February: Dragon Quest VII, Fallout 4, Resident Evil VII, VIII and IX
March: Monster Hunter Stories 3
April: Pragmata
May: 007 First Light, Indiana Jones, Tales of Arise
June: Adventures of Elliot, FFVII Rebirth

When have we seen this kind of third party support...? And everything looks GREAT!

Also keep in mind that this has been pretty much all about the first half of the year. Barely no games for later, they will be shown in the next presentation.
And for exclusive games, just wait for the general Nintendo Direct!

Re: Metroid Prime 4's "Combined Sales" Have Surpassed One Million, Nintendo Confirms

the_beaver

I'm so glad! It probably won't reach 1.5 million in total, but at least it's something, and I'm sure it will sell more over time. If it surpasses 2 million (though I hope it reaches 3 million at least), that will be enough for the series, which isn't known for crazy sales numbers.

We can still have faith in a potential Metroid Prime 5!! After the ending of 4, you're left wanting more. They have a very, very strong foundation, they just have to build upon it, and if they listen to the community, they'll have learned what people liked least about this one, and they'll give us a masterpiece with Prime 5.

One can dream, right? Lol

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Direct February Partner Predictions - What Do You Want To See?

the_beaver

I said it already and I say it again. What I hope to see is:

-Switch 2 upgrades for The Witcher 3, Nier: Automata and the Doom series.
-Trailers and (hopefully) release dates for The Duskbloods, Elden Ring, Indiana Jones, Project M (from Bloober), Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Professor Layton, The Adventures of Elliot and Fallout 4.
-And announces of these rumored games:

-Expedition 33
-Red Dead Redemption 2
-Metaphor
-The Kingdom Hearts games
-Doom: The Dark Ages
-The Resident Evil remakes
-Silent Hill 2 Remake
-Starfield

With all that I'd be more than happy

And if we get a trailer for Dragon Quest XII, I'll just cry.

Re: Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase Announced For Tomorrow, 5th February 2026

the_beaver

Hell yeaaaah! Exactly what I wanted!

I want Switch 2 upgrades for games like The Witcher 3, Nier: Automata and the Doom series. I want release dates for games like The Duskbloods, Elden Ring, Indiana Jones, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Professor Layton, The Adventures of Elliot and Fallout 4. I want new game announcements, like the rumored Expedition 33, Red Dead Redemption 2, Metaphor, the Kingdom Hearts games, Doom: The Dark Ages, or the Resident Evil remakes.
And I want to know more about that secret Bloober project.

I sincerely believe Nintendo is doing the right thing by giving third-party companies a big focus during the first year. The Switch 2 has the potential to become "another one" when talking about multiplatform releases, but players need to buy the games, not just settle for Nintendo's own titles.
The Switch 2 can finally become a Nintendo console that ISN'T just for Nintendo games and indie titles. Everything has a place here.

Re: Rumour: Xenoblade Chronicles Voice Actor Might Have Leaked Evidence Of A New Release

the_beaver

@CaptainQuo Man, The Xenoblade games really need Switch 2 upgrades! I understand you are angry about Animal Crossing and Mario Wonder rereleases, as those really didn't need much, but the Xenoblades...? They look very bad in handheld! Especially XC2.
A Switch 2 version is a must.

Also DKC Returns NEEDED the Switch 2 upgrade, now we can finally say the game is worth it. And it's for free, so what's the problem?

For new games, since June last year, you got MK World, DK Bananza, Pokemon ZA, Hyrule Warriors AoI, Kirby Air Riders, Metroid Prime 4 and now Mario Tennis Fever.
7 games in 9 months. That's not bad at all! Games take time to be developed, you know.

Re: Switch 2 Storms Towards Its Forecast Target With 17.37 Million Units Sold

the_beaver

@JHDK That's strange, to me it felt a lot like a Metroid Prime experience (more 3 than 1, though). I enjoyed it throughly, and I recommend it to all Metroid fans out there. And I played all the games in the (fantastic) series.

My list as of now would be:
-Metroid Prime Remastered
-Metroid Zero Mission
-Metroid Dread
-Metroid Prime 4
-Metroid Prime 3
-Metroid Fusion
-Super Metroid
-Metroid Other M
-Metroid Samus Returns
-Metroid Prime 2 (great game too, but the only one I couldn't finish...)

Re: Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Fails To Meets Sega's Expectations

the_beaver

Well, there are a few reasons why this might have happened.

-It was released WAY too close to Mario Kart World and Kirby Air Riders.
-It's WAY too similar to Mario Kart, it controls exactly the same way. It lacks personality.
-It looks like cr*p on the Switch 1, especially when playing couch coop. You can't see what's going on!
-The Switch 2 upgrade took a long time to be released, and there's no standalone version.
-It's too expensive.

I bet if they had delayed it until now, releasing it on the Switch 2 at the same time, it would've sold much better.

Re: Upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 Games & Accessories For February & March 2026

the_beaver

I'm getting A LOT of games these months, but I can't afford to buy them all now, so I'll have to choose.
For now I'm getting day one Ys X Proud Nordics and the RE trilogy, but I'll eventually buy DQ VII Reimagined, Reanimal, Mario Tennis Fever, Monster Hunter Stories 3 (if it's as good as it seems) and Fatal Frame 2. Plus Dispatch whenever it gets patched, and Pragmata in April.

Re: Rumour: A Nintendo Direct May Be Coming As Soon As Next Week

the_beaver

A general Direct would be better, but if it's a Partner Showcase, I really hope we get Switch 2 upgrades for games like Witcher 3 and Nier Automata, we see in action games like Pragmata, 007 and FFVII Rebirth, we get release dates for Elden Ring, Borderlands 4 and Indiana Jones, and well, we get confirmation that all the rumoured games are finally coming to Switch 2. You know, RDR2, E33, Metaphor, Starfield, the Kingdom Hearts, Doom Dark Ages, the RE Remakes,...

If all that actually happened, I would be very happy lol.

Re: Rumour: A Nintendo Direct May Be Coming As Soon As Next Week

the_beaver

We certainly need a Big Direct with a huge announcement for the end of the year (Mario 3D or Zelda OoT remake, if possible), and epic trailers and release dates for big titles such as Fire Emblem, Splatoon Raiders and Yoshi.

And more third party stuff, please! Love the Switch 2 in that regard.

Re: Feature: "Demoralisation Is A Strong Word, But It Accurately Describes The Situation" - Why Do So Many Games Get Delayed?

the_beaver

Lol Inazuma Eleven. At least it ended up being a very good game.

This reminds me we are still waiting for a release date on some pretty big AAA from third parties, such as Elden Ring, Bordelands 4 and Indiana Jones. I'm hoping we'll get them all before Summer.
These along with REquiem, Pragmata and 007 will keep proving how powerful the system is! If it wasn't already clear...
