Your concern is logical. If you play the original, the Midgar section takes about 5-10 hours (in Remake, 30-40). Meanwhile, the Rebirth section of the original take about 20-30 hours (in Rebirth, 40-50). So, if you don't distract too much with side content (although it's mostly quite good), the game is pretty straight forward and goes into the thick of if, unlike Remake (half of that game was just made up).

To conclude: yes, you're likely to enjoy Rebirth.

Wow, just realised the demo gets up to the Chapter 3. That's crazy, it's a huge demo.
I'll try it later tonight, although I'm more curious about the open world areas, and you've got to play a lot to get up to there lol.

@ghostsoundjosh If you liked how they handled the storyline in Remake, you shouldn't be worried about that in Rebirth. It's actually more loyal to the original than Remake, surprisingly.

If I wanted a good story, I wouldn't play Zelda, tbh lol.
Zelda is all about the mix of exploration, action, towns and puzzles. The story is secondary.

The game looks great, I hope it's as good as it looks. It would be day one!

Day 1 for me! I really like the Splatoon gameplay, but I'm not into online gaming, so this is perfect for me. And that price...! DAY ONE.

@chardir Can you explore different areas in Salmon Run? I didn't know, I thought it was just about waves of monsters.

It looks just as good as I hoped! I skipped 2 and 3 for being multiplayer-focus, but I'm definitely getting this!

This is the first Nintendo game I'm interested in this year, but fortunately, there are so many great third party games coming out, my backlog is just huge, so it's been good for me.

I'd say either something like Adventure or something like Assault but well made.

I'd also like a new Captain Toad, but alas, I'd also like a new Starfox, a new F-Zero, remakes of Eternal Darkness and the Golden Sun series, a new Wario Land, a new Pikmin, a new Paper Mario, a new...

To all people complaining about the GKC stuff, the game is only 13gb... Your console won't suffer at all from this. It's not FFVII, you know.
I guess you'd prefer not having external support at all, like in the Wii/WiiU era, or very late and poor ports like in the Switch era, rather than having the amazing third party support we are getting now, only for this GKC situation... Oh well.

And yes, not all of us has so many other consoles to play with.

Accept it or not, a GKC game IS a physical game. Basically because you NEED the cartidge to play the game.

@RainbowGazelle A lot of games from the list aren't worth a 10/10, that's for sure. But that one is! One of my favorite Wii games, I didn't had as much fun with any other game that gen, and there were many great games to play with friends.

I can't wait to know more about both!
I really really hope this Fire Emblem goes in a more adventure direction like Echoes of Valentia, with a world to explore (at least a bit), dungeons and so. I think that would be a huge step forward in the series, while also releasing from time to time a more classic FE experience for the fans (maybe remakes?).

As for Splatoon, I only played the first one, and because the online was for free in the WiiU lol. Quite a fun game, but the single player content was too simplistic. If this one is full single player, I'm totally in.

Never got the original, but I might get this one if it's good. Let's hope so.

If it didn't look like a mobile game, I would definitely keep an eye on this.

It looks fun! I like the new 3D setting, it makes it different from the originals. And I hope the gameplay is good enough to make it fun to play, and not too frustrating.

People used to say Mario 3D Land and World wouldn't work, and look how they turned out...

I started this week Resident Evil 7 (from the AWESOME Generations Pack), just to see how it looked like on Switch 2, as I've played it two times already, and well... I finished it already! Lol! What a FANTASTIC game! And I never played the extras, they are really good too! Very impressed with the port as well.

Apart from this, I'm still playing Trials in the Sky 1st and Blue Prince, the latter being pretty hard to actually understand what's going on there haha. But good fun overall with them.

A new great Starfox and a remake of Ocarina of Time? YES PLEASE!

Go Capcom go! I certainly hope this is real, and also that we'll get ports of DMC and DMC4.

And the RE remakes, and Onimusha, and Monster Hunter... Go Capcom go!

@SlimeRyu You probably haven't sern the difference because this update only applies to the 40 and 60fps modes.

This and South of Midnight will come to my library sooner or later for sure! But now I just have too many games, I need to clear the backlog a little bit...

Hard to say... Probably RE2 remake or RE4 remake, the ones that are still NOT on the Switch 2 lol (let's hope they come soon!).
RE7 is also a good choice, maybe.

Did Astral Chain look THAT good before, or is it thanks to the boost? I've had the game for quite a while, but I haven't actually played it yet... It has really shocked me.

Other games that looks great now are Prince of Persia TLC, Resident Evil 1 and Metroid Dread. I mean, they looked fantastic already (and they ARE fantastic), but now even better. Perfect games to play on handheld.

I tried out some games, and the difference is quite big although not in all of them.

Batman Arkham City, Star Ocean 2, Xenoblade 1, Nier Automata and Pikmin 4 look AWESOME now.

Dragon Quest XI though... This game really needs a Switch 2 upgrade.

I have yet to try more.
