Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (April 8th)

For some reason had the urge to reinstall Darksiders 2 and I'm loving it despite some jankyness. I only played for 3 hours before moving on before, no idea why.

Also Fortnite and Overwatch as usual. Getting pretty good at Widowmaker in handheld mode. Most satisfying way to hear the Dink sounds for a headshot kill.

I had a lot of fun with Black Ops on the Wii. Sure it was garbage compared to other versions but it did hold up well and definitely was unique using the gimmick controls.

Plus those were the golden age of internet so you could play online with a modded Wii without bans.

@nomither6 I mean good for you? Personally I could never go back sitting there glued to a computer to play Overwatch now I can play it on the s***er.

Was much better than I expected it to be. Couldn't finish either Sonic movies but this was at least enough of a visual feast that it made up for the lack of any story.

I thought Pratt did a pretty good job, I didn't even notice it was him after I stopped trying to listen for it. Seth Rogan was absolutely ass, as expected. Big names over actual talent is a dumb way to cast, but that's Hollyweird. Same with Anya Joyless. She made Peach unbearable due to not remembering this is an animated film and to make her voice also...animated. It didn't help that I found her facial animations much weirder looking than the others.

Jack Black was clearly the star of the show (besides the song, wtf that was horrible and I'm a HUGE Tenacious D fan, so I'm used to his style of singing and usually love it) though. Wish my man Charlie got a bit more of actual speaking lines since he fits Luigi well. The Lumalee was probably my favorite even if it was voiced by the co-directors daughter (that nepotism is rampant), she did a better job than some of the "big names".

Overall I'd say it was a 7.5 due to it being so easy on the eyes despite the bad casting and bare minimum of all plots. Pleasantly surprised it wasn't pushing the woke agenda at all either, which is rare these days.
