Re: Best Pixel Art Switch Games

theModestMouse

Played all of them except for the sim games, shmups and other VN junk.

Pixels just have so much more life than 4k ultra realism.

@ChaoticKirby @JokerCK I think you overlooked the word "art" in the title. Undertale is ugly and you can't deny that.

Re: Nintendo Will Reportedly "Boost" Switch Production In 2023

theModestMouse

Good, a direct article I can link to people when they go on about how bad there needs to be a Switch 2 and soon. I'm still happy with mine still Nintendo seems to agree. If you need 4k 120fps ultra high detail to enjoy games, you can gladly look elsewhere.

@Korgon Because people just like to say they have the newest or best tier of things. It's how Apple makes billions upon billions by releasing the same phone with slight yet smartly paced improvements every year to milk their loyal schmucks.

Re: Thunderful Games Teasing New SteamWorld Announcement

Finished both the Dig games but not sure how enthusiastic I'd be with yet another unless it was a massive upgrade. Heist was really fun as well so another one of those with some improved mechanics and ideas would be great (a customizable class system with perks or something would be neat). Never played the Quest game since I had just finished the LoL: Ruined King game and since they're basically identical in terms of gameplay, I had no urge to play since I doubt I'd have enjoyed it nearly as much as LoL.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (January 14th)

I picked up Wolfenstein 2 and Dusk Diver for under $10. Both are pretty good so far. I needed some mindless fun.

Been more into the emulation side of things lately playing Final Fantasy X2 and Silent Hill 2 at upscaled resolution on my phone. Even got Isaac Repentance running flawlessly on it! Exciting times in that scene.

Re: Nintendo's Next Switch Game Trial Has Been Announced For Online Subscribers

theModestMouse

@Thaswizz Yeah I suppose if you play MK and Animal Crossing it would be worth it. Since I care for neither of those and know how to emulate anything retro, NSO holds absolutely 0 value for me especially since it's not needed for Fortnite or Overwatch 2.

The fact I can't message a friend asking if he wants to play in 2023 is more than ridiculous though. When I did have it, it was nothing but lag and disconnects in Splatoon and Smash...It's a fine online service..for 2001 and for maybe $10 a year. Anything more is a ripoff.

Re: Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund Raises Stake In Nintendo To 6%

theModestMouse

Gross. They outright buy golf with their blood money, now Nintendo is accepting it as well. Disgusting.

@Thoughts Cracks me up there's a page long disclaimer anytime Potter and JK Rowling are mentioned, but nothing here when it's a discussion that actually matters, like ya know slaving people to death, and not one human out of 8 billions personal opinions.
