6 months with so few games. i've played three switch 2 exclusives, and maybe four switch 2 upgrade packs. i've mainly been recommending the switch 2 because it makes switch games way less painful to play lmao, for me it's been a faster-loading switch so far. can't wait for more heavy-hitters to push this thing to the limit (tbf i haven't played cyberpunk bc i can't justify paying full price for something i know i can get for way cheaper on other platforms).
my left joycon 2 sometimes disconnects in handheld mode too. crazy that they couldn't fix this issue in the new generation despite the different controller designs. but the switch would do that too so i guess i can't dock too many points. but yeah so far it's just a less bad switch for me, which isn't a bad thing but i've not been blown away yet
mentioning the danganronpa guy but not takumi nakazawa (director and writer of possibly the most influential and beloved vn of all time, ever17) ouch. anyway this was so poorly-timed, they couldnt announce this alongside the switch 2 upgrade?? i was planning on playing it this weekend so i bought it a few days ago, but i wouldve happily waited a while longer for a physical copy 😮💨
they have a pool in the summer too, are people going to complain that thats also not accessible? theres loads to do for everyone, it seems like this is an absolutely massive theme park and all pokepark ticket tiers include access to the rest of the park. in this case disabled people are really not missing out, theres probably so much to do in this theme park that any visitor will run out of time before hitting every attraction theyre interested in
really really hoping they dont go with a game key-card here, i have it on switch so an upgrade path would be great. was it activision who said third parties are basically all using key-cards because of the cartridge speeds still being too slow? hopefully that doesnt come into play here, digital-only would be preferable (or nintendo could just allow game key-cards and upgrade paths to coexist but who knows when that will happen...)
hey, less quality to assure when you fire a bunch of employees and work those who remain that much harder! cant wait to play some awful game with glaring issues that was greenlit by chat gpt in a couple years
the upgrade pack is a shameless cash-grab, they couldve easily upped the handheld resolution for free. unfortunately i dont want the game to keep looking bad so i will likely succumb to the upgrade pack💔
at least the botw and totk performance boosts are included with the switch online expansion pack, and had some fun extras. this is just funny, the ONLY feature for most people here is the improved handheld resolution, theyre charging real money for a resolution bump and a megaphone that will be used once and then forgotten. are we serious
pokemon has ALWAYS sucked. im saying this as a pokemon fan whos bought every mainline game around release since... xy... yeah, not exactly a lifelong fan but i think ive been around long enough to say it. selling two of the exact same game with minor elements changed was a novel idea to encourage trading that devolved into a shameless cash-grab, especially when we ended up with FOUR games in a single generation (bw2 at least had proper differences, ultra sun/moon was inexcusable especially when the 3ds supported dlc).
so the recent dookie theyve been putting out hits that much harder. game freak just clearly do not have the resources to make modern pokemon games alone, imo they should be in charge of planning while having access to nintendo devs, as well as UNLIMITED budgets because god knows tpc can afford it. and most importantly, let these games take time. pad things out with side games like pokopia and licensed stuff like the shiren the wanderer crossover but dont force these mainline games out unfinished.
these games just cant be low-budget indie games made by amateurs anymore, the days of low-powered handhelds died with the 3ds and its not unreasonable to expect more. people get really defensive and angry on behalf of this billion-dollar franchise that wants so badly to implode, all because some of us actually want to play an outright good pokemon game. we should all be sick of pokemon games that we have to defend liking, "look, i know it looks genuinely terrible and runs awfully BUT--" we deserve better!! and frankly game freak deserves the opportunity to make a pokemon game they can actually be proud of
won't be needing a workaround since i have a labo vr headset already. strange they don't seem to have confirmed compatibility even though the cardboard headset is identical, but yeah i wouldn't check this out otherwise lol. the real question should be if smash 6 and botw will support vr mode on switch 2
the nso playtest wasnt even available to everyone in these core territories, huge shame that they pay lip service to europe while only really focusing on a few of the bigger countries. obviously not the same as being completely shut out of a lot of products and services but their handling of nso has outright sucked.
on a semi-related note, tomodachi life is approaching which will almost definitely have only english accents for britain (i assume scottish and welsh people dont feel well represented by the available accent), ireland, australia, new zealand, and for any other english speakers whose consoles are set to european english. i get that its more work to allow people to enjoy the game, but it REALLY felt awful to have nintendo support outright tell me that the company did not want anyone from my country to play tomodachi life on 3ds. i really hope nintendo have changed their stance, or will at the very least allow both american and english accents in all english copies. the fact that we cant be sure if theyd even do the bare minimum is really telling lmao.
i'm very lucky and grateful that this is probably the closest i'll ever feel to being underserved by nintendo. i think locking physical products behind an nso subscription is unfair, at least most other stuff has some kind of workaround but you can't really order this stuff via proxy service. some of these restrictions just aren't necessary, especially when there's no alternative
so, its a game key card on switch 2? this is so annoying, how hard could it be to treat the switch cartridge like a key card and allow it to be used to authenticate the switch 2 version? note that square enix is likely not to blame here, all evidence suggests this is nintendo policy as other publishers have faced this issue as well. shame that nintendo are basically forcing everyone to go digital bc their cartridges just arent fit for purpose
amiibo are completely optional collectibles so if the price is truly an issue or you just dont want them you can make your own for literally like 20c each (hell, i had loads of fun using polymer clay to make an actual custom amiibo figure, definitely recommend that!). shame theyre raising amiibo prices across the board though, they used to be pretty well-priced even considering the quality was way lower.
i just wonder if these will somehow use new tech? like will you just scan the vehicle and it assumed the rider is whoever was originally packaged with it? the connection point looks... tech-y lmao so i wonder how this works
THE library? fine. MY library? totally abysmal. i had to preorder an sd card which is finally coming next week, couldn't really enjoy many games with the tiny onboard storage. i'm also avoiding buying some switch 2 games out of principle, the "switch 2 editions" that are €10 more expensive than the steam prices (i'm looking at you, marvelous. i can wait for rune factory and story of seasons. totally preordered pokemon legends a-z though so clearly my principles are weak).
but yeah, honestly i've really been enjoying playing switch games without their horrendous loading times. even if the switch 2 had no exclusives it would be worth it for me, it dropped with such a strong back catalogue that i don't really care too much about the lack of switch 2-specific games
well this sucks. why should i be locked out of this based purely on geography?? why on earth would they bring back the playtest yet not roll it out to anyone who didnt get to try it the first time around? super disappointing
this is a huge shame, the switch 2 boxart is so horrendous i would absolutely buy the switch version of any game i want physically, doubly so for game key cards with the banner on the bottom. guess i'm getting this digitally down the road
while these didnt offer HUGE savings, getting €10 off a game that seldom if ever goes on sale is definitely the smart move. if youre buying two games that are €60 the vouchers are a no-brainer, but once you run out of games near the expiry date you do find yourself just buying any old game you didnt have much interest in lmao.
but yeah this makes sense. a) there wont be many if any switch games releasing after 2026, and b) these may confuse newcomers to the switch 2 and less tech-literate people. it wouldve been nice to see them continued or even improved as nintendo moves on from the switch 1 and relies less on these games for revenue, but of course nintendo doesnt want to encourage people to buy switch games when they could buy switch 2 games instead
i could not be less excited for the new ai game after the trainwreck that was nirvana initiative 😔 such a shame since the first game, while disappointing in the puzzle department, was pretty intriguing. would love if no sleep ends up being a decent game but i am absolutely not banking on it.
anyways patapon looks sick, i never played the original but i am sooo excited for this remaster
a factory reset should absolutely be able to undo any piracy flags, its wild that thats not the case. if someone was actively pirating games surely they would want to avoid factory resets as much as possible so as not to lose all their save data whenever they wanted to play online. seems almost as good a deterrant as disabling online functionality permanently while not screwing over people who may buy the system secondhand through less-regulated marketplaces etc, including clueless parents who may just think theres a connectivity issue or whatever. i get that this is meant to discourage reselling and getting most of your money back, but thats impossible to prevent. these consoles are clearly going to be in circulation, i dont see how punishing buyers will stop someone selling their console
rf4 should be wayyyy lower-rated, that game is infamously buggy. sure, special looks awful, but to my knowledge it wont make me delete my save for committing the grievous sin of choosing to marry vishnal.
include the piczle cross games so that rf5 can be ranked even lower, you cowards! i still think about how they developed frontier so much earlier, yet rf5 got so much wrong. frontier loads instantly, has a charming and well-designed town and the runey mechanic discourages sleeping to skip months at a time. meanwhile rf5 takes too long to load even on switch 2, the town is babys first 3d model and the game just discourages you from playing it entirely. i havent played azuma yet since i refuse to pay €10 more than pc players, but i REALLY hope they learnt their lesson after rf5. although i guess the town-building mechanic means the lifeless town design will be the players fault this time around?
since i didnt get the email hopefully someone else will bring up the joycon 2 battery being insane. i had to swap to using my original joycons after like 3-4 hours of play, not using mouse mode or gyro or anything. the only "solution" seems to be a charging grip which is useless since the joycon 2 grip is so uncomfortable. would love some charge grips for split joycon mode
(embarassed by a previous comment lmfao pls forgive me if anyone saw me in my despair. the mono audio option is in accessibility obviously, i crashed out for naught. hopefully they add an option to make system sounds mono though, since as it stands im avoiding the home button quick menu like the plague)
but yeah having to manually cancel all these downloads is wild. the switch was around for what, 8 years? my library is easily over 200, i had to manually cancel like 30 downloads and the archive software option seems to be completely gone. i guess you keep the virtual game card but cmon, who wants to press "delete"?
also... does anyone else find these joycon 2 flimsy? the original joycons feel way sturdier and more substantial, these are definitely lighter which is good for handheld mode but kind of rough for tv mode imo
i've seen some steam footage and it is ROUGH. they went way overboard with motion blur or something that just makes the whole game look uncanny. and i can't tell if that's an issue with the tiny bit of switch 2 footage they've deigned to show us. would've been nice to show us crafting and combat gameplay so we could get a better idea
shame their games are pretty hard to get physically. i've been a huge rune factory fan since before the launch of rf4, never had the chance to pre-order a physical copy of any of them. their commitment to full physical releases kind of loses its impact when the consumers only option is getting their stuff a week late from amazon lol
so this seems like a direct yen to usd conversion. as toby fox revealed, the japanese eshop restrictions force publishers to set a small fee of 300en iirc. so like... why are they charging this abroad 💀 obviously this is pocket change so no biggie but it would go a long way with fans if they just made the update free where they could
"catalog" sent a shiver down my spine. i know there's apparently a seperate american translation of the 3ds game, no way they followed that one for this game. ...right? 😬 i really don't want to have to get used to changed character names
so glad that this once-switch exclusive game is getting content patches after the other platforms. really nice to know switch players are likely going to be the biggest demographic for this game while being an afterthought
i was kind of hoping it would suck so that level 5 wouldn't be rewarded for their handling of the game. but i'm pleasantly surprised that it seems we're getting a game that won't be a letdown considering the creative team from the original are probably not involved whatsoever. i just hope the music can live up to nobuo uematsu's bangers from the original
very surprised they're not charging €10+ for this. although it's very scummy of them to be charging money at all for the upgrade after all the bs they've been pulling with this game
i was planning on giving this a miss since too-kyo-era uchikoshi has been known for his disappointments (death march club or whatever its called really stung, and nirvana initiative was also unspeakably bad). glad to see uchikoshis apparently got his groove back, will definitely check this out soon enough
@martynstuff i have been hoping for exactly this!! i dont think we would get a rainbow road perpetually surrounded by storm clouds, that just doesnt feel in line with past iterations. those clouds could easily be hiding the other rainbow roads, and its already confirmed that one location on the map can hold multiple tracks. it would be such a letdown for the game to only have 7 grands prix plus a single rainbow road imo
...there was a leak of some promotional materials including the ps5, xbox and steam logos... but no switch 2. which obviously means we're getting exclusive motion controls and uhhh mario dlc so they'll need to make a seperate trailer from the other platforms. totally.
lmao yeah the hd versions 100% going to be released on switch (probably alongside twilight princess) so nintendo can point to it and say theyre still supporting the switch. pretty much every insider or whatever has said the switch ports are ready to go whenever
@TtimeXP just dance actually does that already! theres an official app that lets you use your phone as a controller, or use your phones camera to track your motion. so theres pretty much no chance they wont use the switch 2 camera lol
it seems the european preorders will still have some competition since they advise us to have our payment and address details set up before preordering
im sorry but this is such a scam? this experience is available completely for free (with 50 minutes of ads per hour of quality gaming content) just by searching "[game title] playthrough no commentary" on youtube. ive been not playing games for years. we dont need artificial intelligence stealing the jobs of human beings of middling intelligence
definitely waiting til this is on sale since i dont want the game to perform well at launch (years of delays to go multiplat while launching last on switch, shady deluxe edition nonsense etc), but damn... this is probably the meatiest trailer theyve put out while genuinely being kind of funny
it seems theres a lot of confusion surrounding this, the local transfer thing is just how you designate a second system as your own, this way you could have a secondary system without needing to connect to the internet all the time to verify your primary console is offline. THAT is the point, you transfer a game from your docked home switch to your out-and-about handheld switch once at home, from then on theres no internet connection necessary, and it doesnt matter which console is primary or secondary
the image in the article is mad unsettling. mans got two pairs of reversed joycons... i dont trust that
fr though, i really doubt this is true. the only upcoming exclusives we know about are z-a, robobot and metroid prime 4 afaik, and i doubt theyd do an indie/partner direct right before showing off a backwards-compatible console
honestly i keep going back to gnosia. it seems so simple but god it has had its hooks in me since the english release, so easy to play for like 15 minutes when im not in the mood for anything else. definitely recommend for anyone who hasnt played it, its a single-player social deduction rpg that is right at home on switch. maybe not super popular but it is absolutely one of the best games to play if you cant dedicate hours to a play session
shill mode off, i have a massive backlog and i dont even own all the first party stuff people seem to love. god the switch has an impressive library (though i have little doubt that botw stands on top to this day lol)
see this couldve been avoided if they did american wasteland first. that game wouldve inspired them to make the best remake to ever grace the earth, with energy left over for 3+4 (inb4 anyone even THINKS "wahh music licensing")
all i need is a promise that they will add moderation to an eventual splatoon 4. splatoon 2 and 3 have never been subject to any kind of moderation, there are absolutely no deterrants to griefing and making the game miserable for other people. hell, people can and do use the most sexual usernames imaginable in what is advertised as a kid-friendly game, we really need reports to actually lead to weeks- and months-long bans.
as for other switch 2 games, yeah i would love elden ring to rear its head. apparently bg3 has gotten downgraded after launch and requires mods to get the best experience? so that probably wouldnt work too well on switch. monster hunter wilds might be a pipe dream but its MY pipe dream, same with gta6
anyone who happens to read this and is interested in ever17: you NEED to play never7 first, ever17 makes zero sense without knowledge from never7. spikechun advertising it as though ever17 comes first is very strange and is going to leave people with a poor opinion of one of the best visual novels of all time
EDIT: DO NOT BUY EVER 17/NEVER 7!! they use awful ai upscaling and the images are apparently poorly cropped so they look horrendous, and the scripts werent proofread. just play the fanmade translation-remakes for free (ik the ever 17 one is called himmel edition, not sure about the others)
omg wait this is amazing news!!! i never knew comcept was closed/absorbed, i do hope everyones jobs were safe but damn comcept were the main reason i had such low expectations for fli before the barrage of delays. hopefully the support from other level-5 staff in polishing up the game shows results (of course the real move wouldve been getting 1-up studio on the case instead of beefing with nintendo). i kept my preorder open and it hasnt been cancelled so i guess i may be able to see for myself if the games worth it :/
rise was some graphical wizardry, that game can easily stand toe-to-toe with most modern stuff visually. so at the very least, we know capcom can optimise for subpar hardware, and the fact that the 3ds was home to the monster hunter series in all its nigh-unplayable glory with dogshit controls for a good while shows that they will do ANYTHING to get this series on handheld devices. im very hopeful for a switch 2 port that looks and plays well, and maybe whatever work they put into optimisation could also lift the series s version up a bit
...of course this could just be copium or whatever lol. rise was my first monster hunter game and i am desperate for more. its funny bc my pc can probably run the game yet im fine waiting for worse performance on switch 2 if it means getting to play with low-latency split joycons
i hope we at least get platinum points for purchases alongside the scrapping of their expiration. i will definitely miss the pure rush of getting a free game or free dlc, but platinum points can get you actual stuff (plus those stupid icon parts... man their allure really is something)
yet another delay, a price increase, cancelled physical version, and releasing 3 days earlier on other platforms with a scummy digital deluxe edition... yeah im one of the biggest fantasy life fans out there and theyve lost my custom. i cant in good conscience give this company money, im really hoping they end up going out of business at this stage. they have no respect for their customers anymore. hell, i found out through the new fli news that theyve been using generative ai for other games, i feel really bad for everyone whos wasting their time and energy working for this company

also... does anyone else find these joycon 2 flimsy? the original joycons feel way sturdier and more substantial, these are definitely lighter which is good for handheld mode but kind of rough for tv mode imo
Re: New Videos Show How Fantasy Life i Has Been Beefed Up On Switch 2
i've seen some steam footage and it is ROUGH. they went way overboard with motion blur or something that just makes the whole game look uncanny. and i can't tell if that's an issue with the tiny bit of switch 2 footage they've deigned to show us. would've been nice to show us crafting and combat gameplay so we could get a better idea
Re: Story Of Seasons Publisher Says Physical Switch 2 Releases Are "The Right Decision For Us"
shame their games are pretty hard to get physically. i've been a huge rune factory fan since before the launch of rf4, never had the chance to pre-order a physical copy of any of them. their commitment to full physical releases kind of loses its impact when the consumers only option is getting their stuff a week late from amazon lol
Re: Fantasy Life i Gets Switch 2 Release Date With Paid Upgrade Path For Switch 1 Players
so this seems like a direct yen to usd conversion. as toby fox revealed, the japanese eshop restrictions force publishers to set a small fee of 300en iirc. so like... why are they charging this abroad 💀 obviously this is pocket change so no biggie but it would go a long way with fans if they just made the update free where they could
Re: Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time Switch Update Arrives Next Week
"catalog" sent a shiver down my spine. i know there's apparently a seperate american translation of the 3ds game, no way they followed that one for this game. ...right? 😬 i really don't want to have to get used to changed character names
so glad that this once-switch exclusive game is getting content patches after the other platforms. really nice to know switch players are likely going to be the biggest demographic for this game while being an afterthought
Re: The First Review For Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time Is In
i was kind of hoping it would suck so that level 5 wouldn't be rewarded for their handling of the game. but i'm pleasantly surprised that it seems we're getting a game that won't be a letdown considering the creative team from the original are probably not involved whatsoever. i just hope the music can live up to nobuo uematsu's bangers from the original
Re: Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time Has Been Confirmed For Switch 2
very surprised they're not charging €10+ for this. although it's very scummy of them to be charging money at all for the upgrade after all the bs they've been pulling with this game
Re: Review: The Hundred Line - Last Defense Academy (Switch) - An Addictive VN & Tactics Blend With Notes Of Persona
i was planning on giving this a miss since too-kyo-era uchikoshi has been known for his disappointments (death march club or whatever its called really stung, and nirvana initiative was also unspeakably bad). glad to see uchikoshis apparently got his groove back, will definitely check this out soon enough
Re: Nintendo's Teasing Mario Kart World's Rainbow Road, But You'll Have To Work For It
@martynstuff i have been hoping for exactly this!! i dont think we would get a rainbow road perpetually surrounded by storm clouds, that just doesnt feel in line with past iterations. those clouds could easily be hiding the other rainbow roads, and its already confirmed that one location on the map can hold multiple tracks. it would be such a letdown for the game to only have 7 grands prix plus a single rainbow road imo
Re: Oblivion Remaster May Be Launching This Month, But Will It Come To Switch 2?
it will come to switch 2. we must believe
...there was a leak of some promotional materials including the ps5, xbox and steam logos... but no switch 2. which obviously means we're getting exclusive motion controls and uhhh mario dlc so they'll need to make a seperate trailer from the other platforms. totally.
Re: Zelda Wind Waker Switch 2 GameCube Release Doesn't Rule Out HD Port
lmao yeah the hd versions 100% going to be released on switch (probably alongside twilight princess) so nintendo can point to it and say theyre still supporting the switch. pretty much every insider or whatever has said the switch ports are ready to go whenever
Re: Not Sold On Switch 2 Camera? HORI's Piranha Plant Model Might Change Your Mind
@TtimeXP just dance actually does that already! theres an official app that lets you use your phone as a controller, or use your phones camera to track your motion. so theres pretty much no chance they wont use the switch 2 camera lol
Re: Where To Pre-Order Nintendo Switch 2
it seems the european preorders will still have some competition since they advise us to have our payment and address details set up before preordering
Re: Introducing PLAYi - A Whole New Way To Not Play
im sorry but this is such a scam? this experience is available completely for free (with 50 minutes of ads per hour of quality gaming content) just by searching "[game title] playthrough no commentary" on youtube. ive been not playing games for years. we dont need artificial intelligence stealing the jobs of human beings of middling intelligence
Re: Random: Fantasy Life's Animal Crossing Parody Starring 'Tim Crook' Is A Good Laugh
definitely waiting til this is on sale since i dont want the game to perform well at launch (years of delays to go multiplat while launching last on switch, shady deluxe edition nonsense etc), but damn... this is probably the meatiest trailer theyve put out while genuinely being kind of funny
Re: Nintendo Announces 'Virtual Game Cards' For Switch, Unlocking Digital Lending
@Kiz3000 ah ***** youre right, i mustve missed that caveat in my excitement 😩 looks like nintendo arent as with the times as i'd hoped
Re: Nintendo Announces 'Virtual Game Cards' For Switch, Unlocking Digital Lending
it seems theres a lot of confusion surrounding this, the local transfer thing is just how you designate a second system as your own, this way you could have a secondary system without needing to connect to the internet all the time to verify your primary console is offline. THAT is the point, you transfer a game from your docked home switch to your out-and-about handheld switch once at home, from then on theres no internet connection necessary, and it doesnt matter which console is primary or secondary
Re: Rumour: A Switch 1 Direct Presentation May Take Place This Week
the image in the article is mad unsettling. mans got two pairs of reversed joycons... i dont trust that
fr though, i really doubt this is true. the only upcoming exclusives we know about are z-a, robobot and metroid prime 4 afaik, and i doubt theyd do an indie/partner direct right before showing off a backwards-compatible console
Re: Poll: What Switch Game Could You Not Live Without?
honestly i keep going back to gnosia. it seems so simple but god it has had its hooks in me since the english release, so easy to play for like 15 minutes when im not in the mood for anything else. definitely recommend for anyone who hasnt played it, its a single-player social deduction rpg that is right at home on switch. maybe not super popular but it is absolutely one of the best games to play if you cant dedicate hours to a play session
shill mode off, i have a massive backlog and i dont even own all the first party stuff people seem to love. god the switch has an impressive library (though i have little doubt that botw stands on top to this day lol)
Re: Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4 Has Been Butchered For The Switch Remake
see this couldve been avoided if they did american wasteland first. that game wouldve inspired them to make the best remake to ever grace the earth, with energy left over for 3+4 (inb4 anyone even THINKS "wahh music licensing")
Re: Talking Point: What We Expect From The Switch 2 Direct
all i need is a promise that they will add moderation to an eventual splatoon 4. splatoon 2 and 3 have never been subject to any kind of moderation, there are absolutely no deterrants to griefing and making the game miserable for other people. hell, people can and do use the most sexual usernames imaginable in what is advertised as a kid-friendly game, we really need reports to actually lead to weeks- and months-long bans.
as for other switch 2 games, yeah i would love elden ring to rear its head. apparently bg3 has gotten downgraded after launch and requires mods to get the best experience? so that probably wouldnt work too well on switch. monster hunter wilds might be a pipe dream but its MY pipe dream, same with gta6
Re: Nintendo Download: 6th March (North America)
anyone who happens to read this and is interested in ever17: you NEED to play never7 first, ever17 makes zero sense without knowledge from never7. spikechun advertising it as though ever17 comes first is very strange and is going to leave people with a poor opinion of one of the best visual novels of all time
EDIT: DO NOT BUY EVER 17/NEVER 7!! they use awful ai upscaling and the images are apparently poorly cropped so they look horrendous, and the scripts werent proofread. just play the fanmade translation-remakes for free (ik the ever 17 one is called himmel edition, not sure about the others)
Re: Fantasy Life i Development Was Restructured In 2024 As Keiji Inafune Left Company
omg wait this is amazing news!!! i never knew comcept was closed/absorbed, i do hope everyones jobs were safe but damn comcept were the main reason i had such low expectations for fli before the barrage of delays. hopefully the support from other level-5 staff in polishing up the game shows results (of course the real move wouldve been getting 1-up studio on the case instead of beefing with nintendo). i kept my preorder open and it hasnt been cancelled so i guess i may be able to see for myself if the games worth it :/
Re: Monster Hunter: Wilds Tech Analysis Has Us Concerned About A Switch 2 Port
rise was some graphical wizardry, that game can easily stand toe-to-toe with most modern stuff visually. so at the very least, we know capcom can optimise for subpar hardware, and the fact that the 3ds was home to the monster hunter series in all its nigh-unplayable glory with dogshit controls for a good while shows that they will do ANYTHING to get this series on handheld devices. im very hopeful for a switch 2 port that looks and plays well, and maybe whatever work they put into optimisation could also lift the series s version up a bit
...of course this could just be copium or whatever lol. rise was my first monster hunter game and i am desperate for more. its funny bc my pc can probably run the game yet im fine waiting for worse performance on switch 2 if it means getting to play with low-latency split joycons
Re: Opinion: Scrapping Gold Points Makes Sense For Nintendo, But It's A Bitter Pill For Loyal Fans
i hope we at least get platinum points for purchases alongside the scrapping of their expiration. i will definitely miss the pure rush of getting a free game or free dlc, but platinum points can get you actual stuff (plus those stupid icon parts... man their allure really is something)
Re: Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time Finally Lands New May Release Date
yet another delay, a price increase, cancelled physical version, and releasing 3 days earlier on other platforms with a scummy digital deluxe edition... yeah im one of the biggest fantasy life fans out there and theyve lost my custom. i cant in good conscience give this company money, im really hoping they end up going out of business at this stage. they have no respect for their customers anymore. hell, i found out through the new fli news that theyve been using generative ai for other games, i feel really bad for everyone whos wasting their time and energy working for this company
