at least you can get a lot of surprise shinies outside of shiny hunting. ive caught 7 so far just by playing the game normally and trying to finish the pokedex, so missing a couple bc they spawned in the walls really isnt that bad imo
as someone whose first mario kart was wii, while trying the new tracks i was so disappointed by peach gardens as it felt way more restricted and linear. it took the mayhem of the wii version (i havent played mkds) and restrained it to just the bit with the chain chomps.
......and then i got to the third lap and it makes you go backwards through the entire track. amazing, AMAZING reimagining of the track. at least in wii, the track felt so hectic, and somehow mk8dx captured that feeling perfectly not by just making a carbon copy, but by changing the fundamentals of the track. i was so surprised and i can see myself forgetting which way to turn even if i end up playing the track hundreds of times
i only saw one qr code in the hub so far, it had no other details aside from the qr code. i scanned it, all the while saying to myself "oh this is absolutely a rickroll. theres no way this isnt a rickroll". as you can guess, it ended up being a rickroll. moral of the story is people may expect rickrolls and will instead be forced to download some inane stuff or viruses or whatever💔
its such a bummer that theyre not giving all of their games the attention they need- harvestella is an untested, poorly-written mess and its hard to believe a company with so much rpg experience would put out such a sorely unenjoyable game (and considering the nft fiasco, its safe to say they dont and wont listen to player feedback). seeing them putting out so many games while they let a really interesting concept rot in favour of other games really goes to show that theyre not equipped to deal with this many games
i feel like a lot of zero escape/infinity fans only really recommend rei jin g lu p/raging loop bc of the timeline mechanic, but honestly? gnosia is sooooo much more in line with uchikoshi works. like i would bet everything i own that the gnosia devs were fans of zero escape and infinity, would absolutely recommend gnosia over any other game (raging loops really good too though!)
the right joycon has an ir sensor, plus the switch literally has a camera thats sole purpose is detecting light. if games with gyro controls and rumble would be possible, why wouldnt games with light sensors??
i opened this article expecting the ps2 (and i believe gcn?) version, which i still go back to sometimes. its easy as hell as an adult, but somehow i hugely struggled with it as a kid lmao. now im really curious about the handheld game
not her fault that the game had awful voice direction. she best with what she was given... too bad 'what she was given' was a script that just said 'say this in an awful fake british accent'. if you want a british accent, dont cast someone who cant do one
my main issue is, they saw success with splatoons model and decided to use that for animal crossing… which makes NO sense as splatoon is an online shooter while animal crossing is a single-player game with major appeal… to children. children who likely dont know anything about configuring internet settings. chances are theres a tonne of kids out there playing the launch version of new horizons and missing out on the feature-full games the rest of us grew up with. aside from decorating your town, wild world even had more content as it didnt rely on updates to give villagers personality etc. i get that this games target audience is people who hacked new leaf. that is abundantly clear. and thats so cool but it feels like theyve been disregarding the newcomers. i personally love this update model as it ensures a lot of surprises and keeps us interested, but its so unfair to the few players who dont know you have to update to fully enjoy the game
