Thanks for the added context. The pace of Atelier releases is pretty insane and I was questioning how many people actually buy them.

I will never understand the overabundance of JRPGs. There's literally 15+ different Atelier games on the Switch already, none of which has entered the Top 30 on the eShop. How is this profitable?

Ideally Next Level is developing something outside of the Mario universe!

I know this is an unpopular release, but it pleases my OCD to have Luigi's Mansion 2+3 and Splatoon 2+3 grouped together in my Switch collection.

Feels way too early to give a release date, but I'm looking for to it.

Yes. I would buy a digital only console. I prefer less physical clutter and usually regret selling off my games. I just finalized my 3DS library prior to the eShop closure. I think an optional cartridge reader add-on would be agreeable.

I'm hoping Hogwarts Legacy still makes it next month. No new trailer is concerning though.

Haha yeah. Switch 2 is guaranteed not to sell as well as Switch 1, but hopefully it can get to 100M. The Switch generation has been great thankfully, so we can rest easy about sales numbers.

It would be nice to see Switch reach 155+ million but that doesn't matter if the Switch 2 can barely sell half. DS to 3DS feels like the best example: 154M to 76M. The Switch 2 needs to be a success also.

Just port Ultimate to the next console. I don't mind waiting another decade.

I completely agree. I gave up on Retro Studios. They've been pathetic lately. It's about to be a decade since Tropical Freeze and they couldn't have the foresight to remaster Prime Trilogy instead of just 1.

Things are FINALLY lining up for us to see the next Donkey Kong game this fall. I knew it was dependent on the movie.

I think we took 2017 for granted. We've been hoping subsequent years would top it since. 2023 will be a close second for me.
