I know this role is her claim to fame, but it's been 8 years between Bayo 2 and 3. Voice acting is about contracting multiple gigs to maintain a living. Recording should only take a week.

Let's be real. BOTW2 is done, they're just holding onto it so we don't sell our Switches. Nintendo is still on top of the world right now and has no reason to release it yet. But yes, it's frustrating how early they announce Zelda games.

I'm going to enjoy this game. Not sure about the new weapons though. Splatanna is too similar to Brush. Also only new mode is Tricolor Turf War.

Duh. 3D has always sold better than 2D. The only exception is Mario Bros.

I knew this game was 4 years from release when we saw it. I'm getting progressively frustrated at games being announced too early.

Nintendo is going spend as little effort as possible in marketing this game.

I'd prefer a remake honestly. There's so many previous games that barely anyone has played (GBA games, Ike games, etc.)

I don't know. There's loads of random platforms/rails in mid-air, thus a bunch of pop-in.

I feel like BotW2 is complicating things. We all predict it will launch with new hardware, but March 2023 for Switch 2 feels too soon. If it's followed by 2 years of cross-gen titles, I wouldn't mind though.

I'm still waiting for Donkey Kong to go 3D and be the best-selling game in the series.

Sep 9th is still "Summer", but we all saw this coming after the Xenoblade 3 news.

Sigh. Basically every game we knew about since last year has been pushed to the Fall or later.

I expect a 2D Zelda from Grezzo honestly. Nintendo would have to announce WWHD and TPHD at the same time (because everyone will ask for both), and there's no way they are going to bundle them together.

The wait for KH3 was exhausting, so I'm mostly over the series now.

I'm hopeful. DK64 was over 20 years ago. A 3D game has more sales potential/appeal.

Yes, 95% of people are asking for Odyssey 2, but Donkey Kong really needs a 3D revival.

They could just release more of the same and we'd be happy. Why are they touting this game as something completely revolutionary? Save those ideas for the next game/console.

Yes, but those game pairs are not on the same console. BOTW2 would not stand out if its subtitle shared any word with its original.

There's no way the game is going to have either "breath" or "wild" in the name.

Please let this be the last mainline Pokemon game on Switch!!! No more direct sequels/remakes. I'm getting fed up with Nintendo relying on Pokemon almost every holiday.

Nintendo doesn't want third-parties/indies competing against all of their legacy VC content.

I appreciate the complete explanation. Very interesting business approach. I guess I'm just concerned that success is getting to Nintendo's head. Do they now expect every one of their consoles to sell over 100 million units? The Switch 2 is inevitably going to sell less than the Switch 1. The article reads like the Wii U has been a financial burden even after the Switch launched. They should be discontinuing the free Wii U online play before discounting the eshop honestly. I'm sure that has been more of a waste.

Nintendo now expects every new console to be an instant success within 2 years? I don't want to believe that Nintendo is that fickle.

I'm still waiting for an original Donkey Kong game. 8 years and counting!
