Yeah. I just think Nintendo console sales are pretty turbulent. We're excited about Switch reaching 150 million units, but the fad can wear out. I think Nintendo should pace themselves now with Switch and prepare Mario Kart+3D Mario to launch the next console. So it can have the best launch possible.
I hope we have a smoother transition between Switch 1 and Switch 2. It would be a shame if the next console only sells half of the current Switch sales. (DS: 154 m > 3DS: 76 m, Wii: 101 m > WiiU: 13 m)
@RareFan
I was thinking the exact same thing. 2nd Half 2023 seems the most likely to me for a new DK game. It's obvious that everything Retro Studios was doing prior to Prime 4 has been scrapped and 2022 is already jam packed. We're closing in on a decade since Tropical Freeze was first released.
@DeathByLasagna I think it's pandemic-related, but it's frustrating how Nintendo's primary studio is producing less than NDcube and Intelligent Systems for example.
@Devlind I think you might be right. Splatoon 3 will probably have new movement options like the sub-weapons. I don't know how many new weapon types they can add besides the bow... swords/melee stuff? I guess my thought is Splatoon 3 could have been saved for the Switch successor and shouldn't replace Splatoon 2.
I didn't complain about the similarities between Splatoon 1+2, but I probably will for Splatoon 2+3. I'm definitely buying Splatoon 3, but I don't see how it can be totally different.
Unpopular opinion: I'm kind of glad to see these handheld-only spin-offs not making the jump to switch: Pokemon Rumble, Pokemon Trozei/Shuffle/Picross, Mario+Luigi, Mario vs Donkey Kong, etc. Too much oversaturation for me.

I'm laughing at the people who predicted Nintendo Kart this year.
Re: Feature: Our Predictions For The February 2022 Nintendo Direct
Please no Mario Sports game. Thanks.
Re: Koei Tecmo Confirms Fatal Frame And Blue Reflection Sales
Koei Tecmo seems like such a huge company. I don't understand how they remain profitable. Their biggest successes are collabs with other companies.
Re: Metroid Prime 4 Developer Retro Studios Is Seeking New Team Members
This reminds me that Tropical Freeze is 8 years old. >_>

Re: Poll: It's The Year Of Splatoon 3 - Are You Excited?
I'm excited, but I can understand if the series has become stale to others. There are more derivative IPs out there though.
Re: Niantic Shares Staggering Stats For A Year In Pokémon GO And Pikmin Bloom
Please keep Pikmin Bloom alive. Thanks.
Re: Don't Worry, Zelda: BOTW 2 Is Reportedly Still Aiming To Launch Next Year
I'm sure the game is done by now, they just want to have a holiday title and compete against the other Game of the Year candidates.
Re: Poll: So, How Would You Rate Nintendo's 2021?
I only bought Metroid Dread, honestly. I'll replay it some day.
Re: Pokémon Diamond and Pearl Remakes Claim 3rd In November NPD Chart
Wherefore art thou Metroid Dread?

Nintendo prioritizes this over Pikmin 4.

The Switch games are the worst ones. Got it.

I'm glad Sakurai finally has a vacation. Just release Smash Ultimate Complete Edition for the next console.

I'm not a NSO member now and will only buy the basic plan when Splatoon 3 launches.
Re: Poll: So, Will You Be Getting The "Cloud Versions" Of Kingdom Hearts On Switch?
I'll give it a shot. I've never tried cloud gaming.

Sakurai legit deserves a Nobel Peace Prize.
Re: Feature: So, Who Will Be The Final Fighter In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate?
Hype responsibly. I won't be disappointed regardless.

Re: Video: Let's Take A Closer Look At Kirby And The Forgotten Land's Debut Trailer
It's a 3D-World clone. Probably with 4-player co-op.
Re: Random: Nintendo Direct Announcement Sends Smash Bros. Final DLC Fighter Speculation Into Overdrive
Smash speculation is exhausting. I will be happy when it finally ends and we can appreciate all that we have.
Re: SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake Heads To Switch Soon
I'm surprised it's not another remake.
Re: Switch Has A Nintendogs-Style Game On The Way Called Puppies & Kittens
I don't understand why Nintendo prioritized Brain Age/Big Brain over Nintendogs. Brain Age bombed on the 3DS and Switch.

Re: Yep, Tantalus Was Also The Developer Of The Legend Of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD
Has Nintendo EPD made any games in the past 1.5 years WITHOUT outsourcing? Game Builder Garage seems to be the only one.
Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Switch OLED Model Looks Lovely, But May Also Disappoint
I own a launch Switch, so I will probably buy this as a replacement. I'm not very impressed with the improvements though.

Re: Nintendo Reassures Us That Bayonetta 3 "Still Exists" Despite E3 No-Show
Nintendo probably wants No More Heroes 3 to have the spotlight for now.
Re: Nintendo Doesn't Have Anything Else Planned For Zelda's 35th Right Now
One Zelda game per year. Is that not enough?...
Re: What Did You Think Of The Mario + Rabbids Sequel Reveal? Creative Director Davide Soliani Wants To Know
I'm glad they are taking more risks with this one. I'm tired of the generic Mushroom Kingdom settings.

I wish it was DK+Rabbids honestly.

Re: In 2020, Just Dance Was As Popular As Watch Dogs And Mario Kart 8 Sold More Than In 2019
Agreed. Mario Kart is Nintendo's most evergreen franchise. Mario Kart 9 will be a launch title for Switch 2 with ongoing DLC.

I would rather have the Spyro trilogy to be honest.
Re: Nintendo Software Dominates The Week's Japanese Charts
