Re: UK Charts: Animal Crossing: New Horizons Crafts Its Way Back Onto The Podium

All that JK Rowling boycott worked out as expected.

I don't see Nintendo really pushing anything Switch 1 in the future so trying to decide between AC:NH or XBC-X to use my last Voucher on. Never played a XenoBlade game before, and seems like a good one to start with. But AC has the pick up and play briefly on a daily/weekly basis that feels more relaxing. I have til November to decide, tho.

@HalBailman "minor assistance" ... you don't think the game would have been more enjoyable if when you found the fire shot chip it actually gave you plasma beam so at that point you would have figured 'oh I should take this to that Ice Mountain location'. But instead you would rather find a chip have to backtrack to an NPC character to build it on your arm Cannon and then as you leave the area he has to radio in and tell you "hey why don't you head to that cold area with your new upgrade"

The best thing I can say about Metroid Prime 4 I only paid $50 for the switch 2 version. 100 eshop credit for $80 at Costco for vouchers for switch one mp4 cost me $40 and then the $10 upgrade and still feel like I overpaid. Metroid Prime 4 is a physical version of the meme "what if Ubisoft made..."
There's hardly any self-satisfaction of figuring out stuff on your own because you are a constantly told where to go what to do with the new item you found. All that was missing was the infamous big fat yellow arrow on top of the screen pointing you where to go. Like I said before, in time, Metroid Prime 4 will become the Halloween 3 of the Prime series.

Anytime you picked up something new he always had a radio in to tell you what to do with it before you even had a chance to think yourself. The worst is out in the desert you wanted to explore collect the green stuff or fill up the map and like it's constant him radio again telling you to check places do this do that even though that's what you're doing

I bought the game I haven't played it yet but I've heard good reviews that it runs well and that's all I need I don't need realistic rocks I'm not trying to count the individual veins in grass I just want to enjoy this game. And the fact it came out for $18 regular 20 most companies will try to sell these at full price with less work involved and glitchy message all throughout

Re: ICYMI: Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Estimated Switch 2 And Switch File Size Revealed

Half of that size has to be contributed to character animations, escort sequences, heavy voice dialogue for unrelatable and forgettable characters. And there's a large open desert with nothing but to travel between places on a motorbike to pop wheelies and crashing the enemy's sideways because that's what all action games have to have now.
I really really hope I'm wrong on all this as a fan of the Metroid series since day one.

Another thing that's going to be really bad for speedrunners and watching speed runs is you're going to have to hear this garbage dialogue every time

Re: Want Resident Evil On Your Switch? You'd Better Have Deep Pockets

These games are worth $30 and more for the value you get out of them. The problem here is .... these originally released for cheaper on other consoles. There's no new features, no gyro controls that I've heard of, nothing. Just an added switch tax. And sadly I was prepared to buy all 3 day 1, now just going to wait for the inevitable capcom sale a month or 2 later.
