Best $40 purchase in my 30+ years of gaming.

Every Thursday since March I log on each morning hoping for that surprise announcement for Zero Mission on the VC. And every week the struggle gets harder and harder. Without Capcom this week we would've gotten jack

Was hoping Best Buy would've had more eShop card sales this year as they have had the previous couple of years.

Europe will get this next week ... meanwhile NA will have to wait til 2022

MH has pretty much taken up all my gaming time. I still buy games, play them for a little bit, but with monster hunter i can spend hours and hours everyday with no regrets. Once you get into it and learn just how deep and addicitve it is, there's really nothing like it out there.

@k8sMum exactly. Of course there are region based releases of games. But of all things, especially Zelda, you kind of want to keep EVERYONE in the loop.

Kinda messed up the fact the most eye catching thing for me is the pre-owned Nintendo DS Lite ... might have to pick that up and get Zero Mission off eBay so I can actually play the game, here in the states. I remember DS played GBA games, gotta check and make sure the DS Lite does as well.

It can't be a social network app. Nintendo being in control of something social network related with their knack for censoring and monitoring will never have a chance against other social media sites/apps. Miiverse only works because it's got no competition on WiiU / 3DS.

Capcom being those that'll oversell their franchises with remakes and re-releases .. if there's a dollar to be made it'll be in NA in no time. This is Capcom, not Nintendo. Nintendo doesn't seem to want our money in NA, but Capcom has no problem with it

Welp, downloading the demo portion cause you have to first, according to the eShop, estimated 50 minutes??? I take it is in fact downloading the entire game, and just unlocks the rest once you pay the price.

@shigulicious I know that is a reason as well, and quite frankly, monster hunter isn't the game for them. I can understand using it to get an immortal reactor or other rare item that just won't drop after many tries ... but not be HR999 with only 40 hours of gameplay, or DB's that cause a monster to sleep every 5 seconds. There are limits. Problem is once you hack for one thing and something is handed to you, why stop there. And that's where alot of these players took it to and abused it to the max.

@seb5049 ... Running into inexperienced players is going to happen with any franchise new players are introduced to. That's tolerable. What I can't stand is seeing HR rank armors with hacked Edgemaster gems, or Dual Blades with 24,000 points of paralysis lol. It's like they don;t even try to hide they're sad at the game and need cheats to be decent. Powersaves and custom quest hacks have ruined the online experience to where you only feel comfortable hunting with known friends, irl and online.

The constant screen notification every time a player picks up rubies, hearts, takes damage, etc. would be too annoying during a full play through. Never had any interest in this game from the get-go

Put in almost 1400 hours since it released in Feb. and no signs of slowing down. Gotta get them relic armor & weapons xD

Repetition and re-exploring areas is a staple in survival horror games. The fact you knocked off points for this makes me more excited for the game. Games today just prefer the player to go from point A to B and be done. Fatal Frame sticks to its old traditions and why it has a following, as opposed to silent hill and resident evil fans abandoning the newer games in the series; because developers are trying to cater to a different audience.

@Technosphile I'm sorry, I don't play video games for digitized fetishes. Bikini, ALTERNATE costumes, are not going to offend me if they're removed ... and I like the newly added unlockable costume choices much better than generic bikini wear. You and I, sir, have different opinions on this matter. Deal with it.

@Fee Really? Because bikini outfits are being replaced? You are playing fatal frame for the wrong reasons if that's your deciding factor on getting the game or not.

As for others complaining about "digital only". We never got FF4 or FF2 Wii edition. I'm just grateful for finally getting a game localized, here in the states, in any shape or form (without Homebrew assistance).

@rjejr Plus the fact it was guaranteed for 2015 release, and since that delay announcement we have heard or seen nothing new. I'm waiting for this TP HD rumor to become real, and they announce that THIS is in fact, the Zelda U they were working on the whole time lol ... to try and cover up the real Zelda U we were expecting is announced a couple months later as an NX launch title lol

@Trinexx As a diehard fan of the Metroid series, Other M is pretty much an insult to metroid players, in my opinion. And it's not even the story, or Samus monologues, that bothered me. As mentioned above, you don't find suit upgrades in this game, once you hit a certain sequence in the game's story, you're "allowed" to activate your grapplebeam, speedboost, etc. Not only that, there's absolutely no sense of achievement with exploration or discovery in the game. No memorable environments, "hidden" (lol) items (missiles, energy tanks) are childishly marked on your HUD map ... all you have to figure out is to use a bomb or missile in the exact spot.

Also, if TP HD is real; don't expect a complete remake of the game. It'll probably be the same game that's just been up-res'd to HD with audio retweaked .. along with wiimote/nunchuk or GC controller options.

@Xaessya Same here. Platinum for 3-4 years straight buy most my games digitally ... and never got any of these demo emails in the past. But I never miss out on their spam email promotions, of course lol

For me, this looks pretty boring playing solo ... even with 3 players I don't see it being fun for long play sessions. Looks more like a zelda game, for people who don't play zelda games.

Fatal Frame UK trailer mentions options for both English and Japanese voice overs ... while the NA trailer seems to have left that detail out

Almost feels like NA is being punished for the Federation Force backlash. i didn't care when SMB3 or SMK took awhile because we still had it as a playable option on the vWii VC. Zero Mission has only been released through GBA cartridge .... and there's seriously no excuse on why it's taking this long.

"tank-like controls" ... was worried they would modernize the controls, glad to hear it still classic survival horror.

And, kinda strange they don't just release the free to play (demo) portion of the game during the first weeks of October before the game comes out on the 22nd, to possibly help further sales on release date.

4 Months is the amount of time they have to wait in jail BEFORE the actual trial begins. So whether they are found guilty or innocent after the trial, they at least served some time. Being denied bail pretty much means the evidence is stacked up enough against them that they should not be allowed on the streets while they wait for their trial.

These cowards. You don't brag on something like this before doing it unless you want to be caught and prevented from doing it. Glad they did since it was prevented. Given the attendance and number of children attending this event, pretty sure a jury will show no mercy. Unless they blame GTA5, as always, and not the suspects themselves.

@mowerdude 3DS AC adapters are like $8, less if you actually look around. If Nintendo added one they would jack up the price about $20, I'm happy about their decision.
