@anoyonmus Considering both were "timed" Nintendo Exclusives from previous consoles, Both Maiden of Black Water (WiiU) and Mask of the Lunar Eclipse(Wii) run exceptionally well on Switch 1. Have not tried either on Switch 2. Not sure there were any S2 upgrades, as of yet.
Both games had exclusive costumes to unlock, Princess Zelda & ZSS ( but not in the Switch versions)
@Spider-Kev can you share your post with the same drama when Rosalina was officially revealed, on this site?
And since you supposedly avoid all movie news you never watch the Nintendo Direct for Mario Galaxy?
@TerribleTerabytes thinking Mario Kart World is a system seller is a wild take. It was a packed in title and faced a lot of fan backlash at its release
@Pillowpants there's always that one person who has to call out the orange Man by TDS. If it's all Trump's fault it's with whatever reason you're thinking then please explain to me why football arena where tickets cost more than a switch 2 sell out, basketball arena sell out music concerts sell out, every new iphone sells out, and numerous movie releases are making hundreds of millions of dollars.
The switch 2 is just not worth it and it's current state. I bought one for Metroid Prime 4 a Nintendo only game and it turned out to be the biggest disappointment. The price has never gone up and my local stores have plenty of stock no one's buying the system after the new fad wore off. We're expected to buy full price ports from older consoles. It's like the Wii U all over again until something changes third party old games cannot support this system
HUNK - for the OG players that unlocked this in the OG RE2, seeing that 4th survivor screen for the first time is embedded in our brains.
Ashford Twins - Very happy to see these 2 get some rep on the list. Yes, Alfred's voice was "annoying" but it worked with the mental break down he had been going through for 15 years without his sister ( in stasis ), having to play dual roles of both (alfred & alexia) to ward of suspicion ... sometimes confusing himself which one he was. And the experiments and torture their father put them through. To me, the GREATEST moment in RE franchise is the moment Alexia finally awakens from 15 years, both look eye to eye for the first time and Alfred dies ... along with one the best tunes. Ya ... i love RE CV, my favorite RE (story wise)
@rvcolem1 technically, yes, you take pictures of ghost. But your camera has different levels of damage for more powerful damage photo shots. you'll have infinite film, kinda like an RE knife or handgun, then film for say shotgun damage, rifle, magnum, etc ... FF2 is one of the greatest OG survival horror games.
@HauntedMasque all about the clicks from search engines. I agree, its weird with the day 1 full on spoilers. Most players will look up a youtube video of the area or boss they're stuck at or having difficulty with. Hardly anyone is going to a Nintendo site and reading an article for help in a multiplatform new release.
@Torakaka I understand the concept of Save State and Rewind , but still don't see the need of the feature in these games based on RNG and luck. It be like playing a poker game and Rewind every time you lost the hand and your money; which is why most games like these auto save after every action you make to prevent from saves being Reloaded and redoing said action
@MS7000 that probably won't happen until they introduce a new account system. Considering our current Nintendo account is linked to our Wii U Virtual Console games purchases. That was the whole purpose of the new Nintendo account system on Wii U to keep our purchases linked to our current account . but then switch one came out and they came up with Nintendo switch online VC to make everyone pay for them again
@Torakaka I've never played a single Pokemon game in my life. But given they're usually random turn based battle encounters, wouldn't rewinding and save stating defeat the purpose of the game.
I use emulators for classic consoles and play classic games with randomizer modes, Like A Link to the Past, Metroid Prime 1 and 2, Etc. I own all the consoles and the games but I love the randomizers to keep the games fresh, can't beat the classics. The only reason I modded my day one switch was to play Metroid dread randomizer. When it comes to current gen I honestly don't support those who use current gen emulator and Roms to play recently released games
I never played the current series, from what I recall weren't these remakes of the original Shenmu games on Dreamcast? Loved this game back in the day, but these remakes never appealed to me.
The original Hollow Night, by far, due to its modded randomizer. Although, still waiting for the silk song randomizer and DLC to be released before I can judge between them both. One is completed one is not, so I feel it's too early for this poll
I remember back on the Wii U and we got the new Nintendo network ID accounts and they said from now on our Virtual Console purchases would be tied to our account, and everyone was excited. Then the switch came out and our Virtual Console purchases are no longer a thing. Now we have a yearly subscription fee where we get to rent those games we purchased many many times.
PSA reminder ... Nintendo sold cardboard and a clock for $100. And fans celebrated and bought them. They know what fans are willing to pay for their products
Wouldn't they've already raised the price as they kept bringing up since launch. As others have said, it's memory shortage and supply and demand costs you learn about in 3rd grade. Get the orange man bad nonsense out your head for 3 seconds and think
Honestly, they need to remove the gimped chat system from the console. Who wants to see people's heads and screen during multi-player. Sure it miiiiiiiiight seem neat but the gimmick seems like it'd fade real quick. Most gamers that chat and play online have been using Discord.
@TerribleTerabytes normally in the desert you can goto the pause menu and press X and miles will give an idea. But if you just got viola you can now boost jump off a ramp, or whatever, out the beginning of the desert. I wanna say your next, hint, will be go to the volcano region?
@TerribleTerabytes "And there isn't a lot of indication as to how to progress, I wish there was a sort of hint system or objective tracker. The direction feels very unclear."
Are you sure you're playing Metroid Prime 4 because that's mostly what the game is your map will show your next objective and NPCs will tell you what you're supposed to do and you can check your objective in the menu or looking at the map in the menu. I can't speak for the person you replied to but that's the reason why most people aren't liking the game it's too much hand holding after every area you don't get a chance to like think for yourself without an NPC telling you hey you got a fire weapon go check out the Ice Mountain. Each separate location feels like a Zelda dungeon when they're supposed to actually be larger areas to explore with different pathways
@somnambulance I don't know where you get the word agenda from. Nintendo hid the characters from the marketing until early players pointed it out. Metroid players want that sense of discovery and exploration. Yes to an extent Metroid games have a linear path to collect items but normally you have to hit a brick wall before you have to turn around , but Prime for has that linear set already with Miles telling you where to go next and some Pathways being blocked off . There's only a few moments where you feel like you did something on your own. Usually when you find something now miles has to pop in and tell you what to do with it before you even get a chance to think about it yourself. I've said it before and I'll say it again this was a Metroid game made for people who think Metroid is too hard and for gamers who are used to having a big fat yellow arrow pointing in a direction to their next goal. Yes the game looks great the game plays pretty great but you have to recognize the flaws.
Most people who were going to buy this game Saw the early flaws and waited for either YouTube videos or watch Twitch streamers make a mockery of miles and the other characters and the constant hand holding from area to area.
I still can't understand how they couldn't get a remaster of Prime 2 at least before Prime 4 came out it might have helped with the hype after so long of waiting. the final product is a bit disappointing to long time fans who have been waiting for so long.
@the_beaver because I can actually criticize when I see my favorite series become unrecognizable except for the brand name alone, RE is not for me?. What a stupid assumption. I enjoy the originals when it was zombies and bio weapons created by the virus along with a very intriguing story and rememberable characters. I'm just not into this new garbage where we got to have intelligent weapon throwing car driving zombies or whatever they become now along with vampires a family chasing you for whatever reason filled with made up monsters designs that actually belong in Silent Hill.
I'm just not into these modern day RE games. They feel like the recent Jurassic World movies where dinosaurs are not enough and had to cross breed or mutate.
@Max_the_German yeah what a damn shame, even though I made that post before the leaked images came out how stupid of me. Am I supposed to go back through my timeline and edit everything when a new thing comes out that contradicts what I say
People are forgetting Nintendo price this console and let's call it what it is, basically a switch one pro console at $450. Mario Kart World at $80.
And everyone is still crying about tariffs even though this is going to be a world wide issue with AI bullcrap and shortages of RAM and Nintendo ego.
Everyone crying about orange man bad this dude stopped several Wars imagine prices if those kept going, but no one mentions that. But an already rip off price of a video game console goes up in price everyone loses their frigging minds
