Re: Talking Point: Raw Power Isn't Vital to Nintendo's NX, But It Does Matter

hcfwesker

@Ryno Just to be clear, I agree with you on 3rd Parties not coming back, or at least never selling good on any new Nintendo console ever again. But an example, is South Park ( which sold more versions than the PS1, because N64 version came out a year earlier) .... which is the same issue WiiU faced with 3rd party inferior ports that were a year old.
But I had to look far and wide for that example lol

@ikki5 "Wait... OOT the same week as Europe? I was expecting OOT to come out 3-6 months from now since they got it this week."

Seems Mario & Zelda games are immune to this trend. Fans of other series are left to rot while waiting

Re: Talking Point: E3 Highlighted Nintendo's Development Shift Towards NX, and Away from Wii U

hcfwesker

It's really disheartening. Because the games you wanted and expected on Wii U will be pushed back to give NX a more respectable launch library. A system not even 3 years old already being phased. Unless there is a Metroid Prime 4 at launch, with a reasonable console price; I will wait for the inevitable price drop less than a year later. And I've been a day console buyer with nintendo since SNES, been with N since 1986. The last couple gen's have been frustrating with Nintendo. There have been great games, but the amount of disappointments far outweigh that.
Hoping for the best, but been doing that since the Gamecube. Still holding out hope they're keeping Retro & Metroid Prime 4 a secret for a this long until a soon to be aired Nintendo Direct to shut us all up. lol

Was really looking forward to this. Now, all I can look forward to are the glitch mocking posts that will flood miiverse when it releases. Hopefully patches come through and fix many of the issues.

Re: Editorial: Nintendo's Approach to amiibo is Increasingly Frustrating

hcfwesker

Was excited for amiibo in the beginning, but really don't care for it anymore; especially how almost every 1st party game now is including amiibo locked content and you can't even find the specific amiibo anywhere. 30 years I've been with Nintendo, and sadly after this years E3 disaster I'm about ready to call it quits. The only redeeming Wii U title, for me this past year as been the localization of Fatal Frame, so that's keeping me stringin along in the meantime.

Re: Talking Point: Metroid Prime: Federation Force and Entitled Fury

hcfwesker

What baffles me the most, is you have Hyrule Warriors, which was a spinoff game that includes almost every major character from all the zelda games. But they knew not to have "Legend of Zelda" in the title ... to not confuse fans and to keep it out of the core series. And yet here is Nintendo, slapping Metroid Prime on this game without a second glance.

Re: Nintendo Download: 28th May (Europe)

Will wait for Splatoon to actually be finished before paying full price. The inability to make lobbies with friends at launch is unacceptable. Plus, between now and August I'm sure Amazon will have a price drop.

Re: Nintendo Outlines Splatoon's Free Post-Launch Content

hcfwesker

Plan on getting this, but not a Day 1 purchase anymore. I have no fun playing against random people I don't know or can't talk to. There are people out there who only buy these games with the intention to ruin the online experience for others. So when the "friend lobbies" feature gets released, that's when I'll most likely buy the game.
Voice chat is not an issue, since my friends and I all use skype when playing online games with each other.

Re: Meme Run Disappears from the Wii U eShop

hcfwesker

I never cared for the games or the studio behind them. What bothered me most was this guy was a verified user account on miiverse, and the idiotic and trolling posts he made in attempts to promote his games on the service.

Re: Nintendo Download: 19th February (North America)

hcfwesker

@BRAINFOX oh I know, I've done my research. Many people are complaining on capcomunity's site, and not a single response from anyone. EU can buy the themes, we can't. And it sux MH4U N3DS bundles didnt even get the option for the free one. Nintendo's excuse for that is they got the bundle $10 cheaper lmao. Bundles are suppose to be cheaper than buying separately to begin with ... makes no sense

Re: Meta Knight amiibo Hits Best Buy in US on 20th February

hcfwesker

I thought the whole point of exclusivity to a store was getting customers INTO your store. Kind of defeats the purpose when you sell them all online with pre-orders.
@sinalefa looking around eBay, this is almost what I'm tempted to do. Just buy the rare ones from overseas. I'm not a fan of pre-ordering, I like going to stores on release day and beating the crowds. But the way amiibo is being handled there is just no hope.

Re: Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate Sales Meet Capcom Expectations, Despite Overall Company Sales Being Down

hcfwesker

As a Zelda fan since the release of the original LoZ, and a newbie to Monster Hunter just last year ... I'd pick Monster Hunter over LoZ MM anyday MM is my favorite Zelda of the series and would give any excuse to replay it. But if I had to chose only 1, I'd get about 15-20 hours out of MM, where with MH4U I'd get 1500-2000 hours of playtime out of ... easily. 8)

Re: Ninja Pig Studios Accused Of Stealing Pixel Art For Forthcoming Wii U Release Jumpy Cat

hcfwesker

@SpykeXD Not in my view, if that is the case you may as well call any 2D platformer with an open world level select screen a clone of super mario world. Giana Sisters DS to me is one of the hidden gems of the system, not many played, nor could find. It's the reason Giana Sisters Twisted Dreams was a day 1 purchase for me, no questions asked. And is still one of my favorite WiiU eShop titles to this date.

About the topic of discussion. I actually agree with NinjaPigs response. I don't condone what was done, but taking matters public is only asking for a public spectacle to ensue. And for some, there is no such thing as bad publicity. And, thanx, I'll take some of that popcorn
