Re: Guide: How to Farm Dragon Parts in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

hcfwesker

Didn't see this mentioned but Farosh will also appear in Gerudo Highlands, "Gerudo Summit" being the ideal spot to target it; around where a Lynel is.

And, ya, like others, I avoided any spoilers I could. The first time I spotted Farosh in the distance over Faron Lake I freaked out a little and stared in awe as it disappeared then came back on its path to go back into the Spring.

@SetupDisk all dragons reappear everyday ... some show up in different areas pending on the time of day if you're in the area.

@EternalDragonX it was an April Fool's, man. A well crafted one, but ya ...

Re: Virtual Console Will Not Be Ready For Nintendo Switch Launch

hcfwesker

I'm not upset about the lack of VC at launch. I am, however, ticked at the lack of VC info so close to launch. If I have to rebuy VC games for a 4th time i'm done. I seriously hope to be proven wrong and someone has finally fixed this issue. All of my VC purchases ( WiiU & 3DS) are linked to My Nintendo account, they're right there on my profile. This 'My Nintendo' account was suppose to fix the issues of VC purchases to avoid this issue on their next system. Well, the next system is here, and they have yet to reveal any information on this. And you would think the good news of this would be inviting to those on the fence who got burnt with the WiiU. It's obvious they want to avoid the bad PR before the system launches, because Nintendo knows they can nickel and dime their loyal customers once they've reeled them in. Unfortunately I have a week to decide if I'm gonna keep, cancel, or sell my pre-order.

Re: Breaking Down the Nintendo Switch Online Service Details

hcfwesker

@2CUTE4YOU Nope. but you can expect them to do the same with Wiiu/3DS online gameplay, nip it to force people to move onto the Switch prob a year or so after its release ... just like they did with the Wii when MK8 released.

And, LOL at the phone app to voice chat. Discord/Skype has pretty much replaced any videogame system's voice chat service.

Re: Ubisoft Hails Nintendo As "One Of The Best Partners In The World"

hcfwesker

Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Ubisoft was pretty much all WiiU had after the first release of 3rd party launch titles. It was a rough time being a WiiU console gamer this gen, and blame was thrown everywhere but at Nintendo,. Now, months/years later after reflecting, I applaud Ubisoft for what they tried to do. Nintendo, and Nintendo only, is all there is to blame for lack of 3rd party support. Only time will tell if they learned their lesson after all the mistakes they made with WiiU.

The NX will be my first ever Nintendo console that I will not pre-order and purchase Day 1. I need to see and believe what they have to offer next round.

Re: SurveyMonkey Intelligence Breaks Down the Declining Usage of Miitomo

hcfwesker

I stopped logging and and uninstalled after a week. Like many have said, it was just the new hype nintendo thing to do at the time, and got very boring soon after. Plus, almost 1/2 gig needed on my internal phone memory storage was not worth it.

And, honestly, the whole rewards program thing is jacked up I don't even care about that part of the My Nintendo account. It better just let me redownload my VC game son the next Nintendo console, if and when I decide to upgrade.

Re: Poll: What Do You Think of My Nintendo and Miitomo?

hcfwesker

I'm liking the charm to it. But makes no sense to not allow players to add through Miiverse and other NINTENDO related sources. It pretty much boils down to the fact this was not an app to bring Nintendo players together, it was to bring non Nintendo players to Nintendo recognition.
I, and several friends form my Nintendo consoles' friend list, all had to create Twitter accounts just for the purpose of using Miitomo. Didn't make much sense.

Re: Editorial: Nintendo's Virtual Console Revolution Must Wait as We Pay Once More for SNES Games

hcfwesker

This article was amazing! And glad you didn't pull any punches. The way Nintendo has handled this shows they have no clue nor care about their loyal consumers.

Noone is going to buy a N3DS to play, or re-purchase, SNES VC games. But they "might" have had incentive to upgrade their 3DS if they were able to get those games for free, being that their WiiU & 3DS NNID's were tied to one another. (and they had them purchased on their WiiU console.) But, as always, Nintendo knows we will just re-buy the games so why should they even attempt to bother when they know they can get away with it.

Re: Talking Point: My Nintendo Can Be a Tipping Point in Nintendo's Approach To User Accounts

hcfwesker

They could POSSIBLY add physical game purchases to rewards for the NX games. But currently with Wii U and 3DS it'd be impossible to recall ALL games currently on shelves and add a redeemable code insert into the packaging. But, since this is set in motion before the release of NX and games it's quiet possible they could consider it by that time, considering there are going to be many to complain about this for now.

Re: Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition is Shuffling Onto the North American Wii U eShop on 4th February

hcfwesker

$20 asking price is ridiculous. Yes, its a solid game from start to finish that could last 10-15 hours on a players 1st run. Considering the HD port on PS3/4 goes for the same price or sometimes cheaper, this is just another capcom quick cash grab at WiiU owners.

It's just the Wii version of the game. Nothing more. Follow @rjejr advice and buy it physical for a fraction of the price. With that said, though, still promising to see NoA get something on the eShop.

Re: Metroid: Zero Mission Looks Set for a 14th January Arrival in North America

hcfwesker

I'm one of the first to complain about zero mission in NA, I'll admit and dont care. I didn't care for late SMB3, MK snes, mario RPG, etc because most of those are available on the vWii channel VC, but zero mission was only available as a GBA cart in NA, or through crap ROMs. And that fact we waited 2+ years after japan got it, and 10 months after NoE got it.

I'll finally get to choose an option besides "Nothing for me this week" in tomorrow's poll.

Re: Live: Sit Back and Enjoy the Awesome Games Done Quick Finale, Including Super Metroid and Final Fantasy IV

hcfwesker

Really appreciate how you guys here at NL kept readers up to date on the daily nintendo fixes of AGDQ. Usually in the past I think you just announced it once when it started.

Was a great week, although the final runs were met with some disapointments. The AlttP race was interupted when 1 player stomped his feet on the ground during a spastic laugher that caused the other players SNES to power off lol. Then the Super Metroid run, which is a grueling route they chose to do for the event ... had to be played from a pre-saved game file because the runner died 3 times during the beginning portions.

Re: Giveaway: Grab Yourself a Free Copy of Cube Life: Island Survival

hcfwesker

I just bought CubeLife last week. Never played this type of game, and enjoying it but its taking awhile for me to catch on lol. No need for me to enter, good luck to those that do enter. Very nice of cypronia to run this promotion for NL readers. Even if some of you don't end up winning, the game is only $7 on the eShop

Re: Feature: Why We're Still Playing... Metroid Fusion

hcfwesker

Guess the next article would read something like ... "Why everyone but NA is still playing Zero Mission"

Can't explain it, but Super Metroid is my favorite game of all time, yet Zero Mission is my favorite 2D metroid game.

Fusion was fun, but I hated that once you saved your game after a certain 'point of no return' (which wasn't clearly specified) you couldn't go back and get 100% items. You have to know before hand on your next playthrough to not progress past a certain event if you want to get 100%.

Re: Review: Minecraft: Wii U Edition (Wii U eShop)

hcfwesker

Never played any of these type of games, but read the cube Life review and was impressed with the developer and their involvement with the community here taking in feedback; so I got Cube Life. Have no idea what I'm doing, but feel I made a better purchase rather than the lazy WiiU Minecraft port.
