Just want to say I'm completely new to the series. Took the dip when Capcom had the recent 50% off sale and have become completely addicted since then, clocking over 250+ hours of playtime. Not sure how I'll make the jump from WiiU to 3DS with MH4, so hoping , as other are, that MH4 somehow makes its way to WiiU. As popular as the series is, not sure how Nintendo didn't try to make this a WiiU exclusive to boost WiiU sales in japan.

Not really concerned. The 3 games have the same gameplay mechanics, just with different story. They can lose my money if they chose so, and I'll just watch a Lets Play on youtube for the story.

Heads up for those without a BestBuy in your area. If you do have a Target store, they will price match anything in their store that is listed on BestBuy's website. So even if they don't have a competing BestBuy store in the area, they still price match what is on their website.

Not sure if this has already been brought up, but wanted to get the word out for those who said they don't have a BestBuy in their area, but may possibly be close to a Target store.

I actually do have a question for MAB, Digital4Life activist. The WiiU home menu, the limited amount of screens that displays your DL'd games. I'm running out of space, so my question is this: Does the Home menu automatically expand to add more screens when it's overflowed, or do you have to eventually delete some games/apps to make room?

MY one complaint with DKCR on Wii was it felt forced to have motion controls with the ground pound, just for the sake of having it in the game cause of the wiimote, and was aggrevated there wasn't a motionless option. Glad to hear there's no unnecessary GamePad touchscreen gimmicks. This game just looks so amazing and hoping I can put monster hunter 3U aside to play it

Wouldn't something like this actually embarrass Nintendo, themselves? I mean, I appreciate the effort and ambition of this guy; but the fact Nintendo lost their EA support and now THIS is what they have to accept in order to have a football game on their console.

@MAB D4L (Digital for life) in Nintendo translation means ... Digital 4 as long as your system doesn't break or get stolen.

I'd LOVE to go digital only, but until the account system is fixed it's all retail for me, except eShop only stuffz.

Backed this game when it was first announced, here. Glad it is doing well and hope some of them stretch goals get achieved.

One thing is NintendoLand showed promising uses for the GamePad ... but that was a family/children's game. Don't get me wrong, I'm 35 and enjoyed NL, but when THAT's your selling point release game for the new system, core gamers are going to laugh and assume, "looks like nintendo is still only going after the kiddy games again".

Not too sure on imports, but Nintendo owns the exclusive rights to Fatal Frame. Why have they NOT taken advantage of that yet? THAT's your GamePad core game to show off. If a game series ever had a use for it, it's Fatal Frame. Ghost hunting with the GamePad screen as your camera obscura is gold. Fatal Frame and the GamePad were meant to be. By now their exclusivity is probably over with, I haven't checked in on it lately. All we got out of that was that camera obscura 3DS game. What a shame.

Just be prepared when this gets dropped from releasing on the WiiU for insert 3rd party dev excuse here

@CaPPa Dude ... not everyone is going to buy season passes, as most of us are nintendo only gamers and not aware how season passes work and if they're delivered upon. This case makes a perfect example. Do we want to drop our money ahead of time and hope for the best? Look what happened to you, you paid up and got shafted, as is the case with most projects from 3rd party devs for WiiU.
Most that are interested in DLC, or the game itself, don't "preorder" because they are waiting for reviews ... why should we throw out money ahead of time for something that looks promising, but in most likely will fail upon delivery. In case you didn't notice the reviews on this game were horrible and the game itself plagued with bugs & glitches.
This whole, "we have to show our support for 3rd party devs and buy their games" is utter BULL SHHHHHHH! We're not gonan pay $60 for games that were released 2 years ago just because it's new on a nintendo system. I own 19 retail games, 4 of which are only 1st party, so I did my part and it's just not cutting it. My 3rd party support money has now been shifted to those who do fully support WiiU and nintendo, the Indy scene.

I didn't get the season pass because all I cared about was the story mode DLC. I got the "Initiations" DLC thinking that was the story mode DLC. Didn't know it actually had to do with Mr Freeze's origin which I would have loved to have played. Another low blow for WiiU owners. Making money is the goal of course, but sometimes businesses take a loss to show customer loyalty and support. You don't just take back what was planned and what possibly could have been a main factor in why some of us actually purchased the game.

I don't see how many are getting so excited for this when we get 1 NES game a week, 1 SNES game maybe a month, and still nothing from N64 or the promised GC & GBA VC games. How do you think it's gonna work out with DS games on VC? They need to fix the current state of VC and releases , but instead opt out to add more hopes for WiiU owners ... they might as well announce PS4 and XBONE games on the WiiU VC while they're at it

At least with this we'll finally get StarFox and Metroid Prime games on the WiiU xD

In all seriousness, as many others have stated, we haven't seen light or news of anything Metroid from nintendo. These are obvious huge fans of the series and just want to pay homage to a classic and perhaps add their own twist. I'm backing, and looking forward to this.

Both games sound interesting, as a huge supporter for WiiU Indies both games will be day 1 purchases from me. Just out of curiosity; which game is from the Article Image? That screen shot alone sells the game for me

@JaxonH Same here, and it is so frustrating. Nintendo doesn't understand the Wii Sports, Wii Fit, and Wii Party/Play gamers have moved on from that fad. Yes, Wii did amazing in drawing in a huge crowd, but it didn't keep many of them around for long once they caught onto the fact games everyone else was playing was on OTHER systems and they moved on. they keep trying to ride on and duplicate the success of the Wii and it ins't happening and never will.

im probably one of the few that actually is happy today and am much more excited to get simons quest rather than the long overdo SMB3

@Goginho dont get your hopes up. No way is nintendo going to release an $8 superior game with all 4 nes mario games when they can milk them for $5 a piece with the nes versions.

Just because they can port games to WiiU with this engine, doesn't necessarily mean they would actually want to. There's still plenty of "3rd party excuses" they can pick from for not bringing games to WiiU. We shall see ....

Are we seriously going to see articles like these when a game (not even in development yet) is not coming to WiiU. WE GET IT, WiiU is only guaranteed Nintendo game at this point .... You don't see Sony/Xbox sites making articles, "Surprise ... Nintendo is making a new mario/zelda game, but it won't be coming to PS4/XBone".

I'll just watch my Alien bluray with my GamePad in my hand and pretend I'm playing this game. Probably have a better experience than what the game will offer when its released. these Alien games always look so promising when first revealed .... but we already know how a majority of them actually turn out when rerleased.

Of course I can be patient. I'm just thinking about all the MarioU/LuigiU and ZeldaWW WiiU bundles many got today that can't even download their system bundled games. Of course the system is down, but new system owners are going to be frustrated with their new console because .... they can't even play the bundled games lol (which for many is probably the only game they got with their new system which only adds to the frustration)

my favorite Nintendo moment this year .... was getting my favorite game of all time, Super Metroid, for a mere 30 cents

even though it wont win, Pikmin 3 got my vote in all categories it was nominated in. i bought the game without playing the previous entries and not knowing what to expect; and it literally blew me away every second i played it.

Pikmin 3 was my first game to play in the series and I loved it!!! Still loving it, actually! Went and got the first 2 on Wii and looking forward to check them out whenever I get the chance

I probably won't get one because my feedback comments on CN lacks fan support lol. Like many others, I always add the comment in the last feedback section on club nintendo how they're online eShop system lacks what other consoles offer, "cross-platform" purchases. and week after week their VC game choice releases are below par.

but, i did buy and register my WiiU on day 1, bought every 1st party Nintendo game released and registered them (besides the wario one). Be nice top get one, but if I don't it's not a big deal.

Happy News!!! I've backed this one as well when I seen around 3 days ago they got to 30,000. I've gotten quiet addicted to backing WiiU targeted kickstarters the past couple of months

As posted in the UK download topic earlier today, I picked up 4 today after I got off work. Couldn't pass up that deal. Sadly, the eShop is down right now for maintenance so I can't add them yet til it gets back up. Though maybe that is good news as updates are on the way.

@burninmylight Same here, man. I'm in my thirties and absolutely enjoy Miiverse. Whether I'm chatting about games, posting screen shot achievements and such; it really is neat how something so simple really makes the WiiU stand out in that aspect. Though, I do question some actions the admins take on posts that are not rule breaking which clearly shows its an automated system or something moderating the app. My main 2 gripes I've always had are kids spamming sections with non sense posts, and the stupid yeah begging.
Which, I will say the recent update where they made players posts show by default in game sections, and they removed 'Yeah' counts from members profiles have really made an impact on those 2 issues I mainly had. I haven't seen a yeah beggar for a week or so.

As far as the update goes, are they actually merging WiiU & 3DS Miiverse's? Or will they be separate platforms but where you use the same NN. ID Because if they're separate then there shouldn't be any reason to shut down WiiU Miiverse to add the 3DS Miiverse.

I can quote from one of my friends who loves Sony and buys every new system at launch; this is what he said to me when I asked him how it was after his first night of playing the PS4 ... "Well, the graphics are great no doubt, but while I'm playing a couple of games I'm just stuck thinking to myself, 'ok. what new to gaming does this console even offer besides prettier graphics'. Even I'll admit, there's really nothing spectacular or innovative about it." --- thats a quote from him.
He is an extreme hardcore Zelda fan as well, and no joking, he only, and I mean ONLY, buys Nintendo consoles when a new zelda is released and only for that reason.

No complaints here. I have WAYYYY too many games on my hands to play through, right now, as it is.
