I picked up Hogwarts Legacy this past week now that it's finally on Switch and it has been a BLAST so far! I'm a Hufflepuff for this first playthrough and I just got my first wand at Ollivander's. This game is soooo nostalgic for the childhood Harry Potter fan in me.
I'll mainly continue my playthrough of Persona 5 Royal this weekend. I'm partway into Kamoshida's palace and soooo ready to finally take him down. This game is so good!!
I was finally able to secure a copy of Star Ocean: The Second Story R so I'm mainly gonna be playing that!! It was sold out everywhere online and in gaming stores around me, but there was ONE copy left at a Best Buy in the city over so I leaped at the chance. Can't wait to play this game because the reviews have me so hyped.
@Ashfan2020 I've been playing the game since it came out and it's pretty fun! It does give low budget vibes, especially in the challenges, but it doesn't bother me that much. There's too much focus on the survival elements (like having to find wood, water, food) and you can't ignore them or you'll basically be med-evaced so that sucks. But I do enjoy the social and strategy elements they implemented! Hopefully there's enough sales to have a bigger budget for the next Survivor game.
I finally decided to go back to Xenoblade Chronicles 3 this weekend! I played it for about two months after it released and then just kinda stopped. It took me a bit to re-learn the mechanics and remember the story but I finished chapter 2 today and I'm absolutely loving it. Don't know why I ever stopped. Also decided to start Persona 5 Royal on the Switch after having it in my backlog since it released, so I'll have two massive JRPGs to play for awhile lol.
I finally finished Danganronpa 2!! What an amazing game. Now I'm gonna play Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes. It's been sitting in my backlog since it came out, and I'm feeling nostalgic for the Three Houses cast. I'll play on the Golden Deer route first.
I'm on the last chapter of Danganronpa 2 so I'm hoping to finish it this weekend. I can't wait to see how all the mysteries wrap up! This game has been truly amazing, so I hope the ending ties everything up in a satisfying way.
I just finished the crazy chapter 4 of Danganronpa 2 and I’m onto the 5th! I can’t wait to start getting some answers. I honestly have no idea who Monokuma, Monomi, or the Future Foundation spy are. I’m just along for the ride LOL.
I made it to chapter 4 in Danganronpa 2 and I'm having so much fun!! The last case was absolutely insane and I can't wait to keep playing and uncovering more about the World Ender organization.
I just recently got Valthirian Arc: Hero School Story 2 and I’ve been having so much fun with it! It’s a great little low-budget sim game that I can play for a bit each day and that’s exactly what I was looking for. I also finally continued Danganronpa 2. I’m on chapter 3, and about to start the class trial. SO sad about one of the deaths that happened this chapter. ☹️
I’ll be playing a lot more Atelier Ryza 3 this weekend. I finally unlocked key making which looks like it’s gonna be another fun wrinkle to combat and the overall gameplay loop. Can’t wait to get further into this entry!
This weekend I largely continued Atelier Ryza 3. I'm having a lot of fun with it. It's very nostalgic to see the party all coming back together now. I especially love Ryza and Klaudia's friendship. I'm excited to see where the story goes in this entry!
DIsgaea is definitely one of my favorite series on Switch, so I can't wait for this new entry! I thought 6 was really good, so as long as they improve on it a bit I think 7 could be amazing.
I finished Fire Emblem Engage earlier this week, so now it's time for me to start Atelier Ryza 3! I can't wait to see how this amazing trilogy wraps up.
@daveMcFlave I really liked Rosado too! I've finished the game now and yeah it didn't really make much of a difference lol. I would've liked more of a description at the end of how the relationship between the character we chose turned out.
I’m planning on finishing Fire Emblem Engage this weekend! I’m on Chapter 23 and just gave my Pact Ring to Alfred. He was a really sweet character and I loved his ring scene! Can’t wait to see how this amazing game ends.
I’m still mainly playing Fire Emblem Engage. I’m on chapter 18 now, and hoping to finish it before or soon after my copy of Atelier Ryza 3 arrives so I can devote my time to that. I really do love Engage! I like how different it is from Three Houses, and they’re both great in their own ways.
I'm glad to hear this game is even better than the other 2 Ryza entries, both of which I loved! I already have the game pre-ordered and I can't wait to get started once I finish Fire Emblem Engage.
I loved the two Ryza games so I definitely wanna get around to the others someday. Sophie 2 is in my backlog but with Ryza 3 releasing soon it'll have to wait awhile longer.
I'm still mainly working on Fire Emblem Engage! I'm on chapter 10 now and I'm having a lot of fun with the game. The story is still meh so far, but everything else is amazing.
I officially finished Triangle Strategy on the Frederica route! Now I'm gonna make Fire Emblem Engage my main game for awhile. I'm excited to fully dive into the newest game in my favorite series.
I honestly enjoyed the game a lot! The combat was pretty fun even if the story was boring. Waltaquin was definitely the most interesting character though so I’m excited for her side story.
I'm trying to stick to finishing at least one game a month this year, so I have a few days left to finish Triangle Strategy. I'm currently on chapter 15 so I'll have to move quickly but I think I can do it if I buckle down!
I just recently got Fire Emblem Engage so I'll mostly continue that this weekend. I'm on chapter 2 now. I also wanna keep making progress in Triangle Strategy because I've been loving that game so much. It's an SRPG weekend for me!
I just finished The DioField Chronicle, which I had a lot of fun with! The combat was awesome and I think it’s a very pretty game visually. I just wish the story and characters lived up to the same standards. So now I’m gonna put my efforts back into Triangle Strategy, which is an absolutely amazing game!
Mostly I’ll be playing the new games I got for Christmas: Pokémon Violet, The DioField Chronicle, Dragon Quest Treasures, Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, and Harvestella! Right now The DioField Chronicle has my attention the most. The story is a bit forgettable but the gameplay loop really is addictive. I’ll also probably continue chapter 9 of Triangle Strategy which is absolutely amazing.
I can’t wait to see what new games I get for Christmas, but for now, I’m gonna be continuing my main game Triangle Strategy! I’m on chapter 8 and it really feels like my choices are making a big impact on the story now. I’m super invested and am excited to see what happens next.
Triangle Strategy was my personal GOTY, and I definitely think it deserved to be in the top 10 at least! It’s such a fun strategy RPG and almost a perfect game in my opinion.
I’m trying to finish some games on my backlog before Christmas! I finally went back to Triangle Strategy and I’m obsessed. I’ve played through the first 6 chapters and I’m not slowing down yet. I also wanna continue Danganronpa 2, which I just finished chapter 2 of. The last case was really good so I have high hopes for chapter 3!
@Axecon If you haven’t decided yet, I would definitely recommend Dragon Quest XI!! It’s beautiful on the Switch and one of my favorite games of all-time.
Dead By Daylight (324 hours) Bravely Default II (47 hours) Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy (46 hours) Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc Anniversary Edition (31 hours) Fire Emblem: Three Houses (25 hours)
No 2022 releases made it, but at least I finished a bunch of games from my 2021 backlog lol! Next year I'll finally get to Xenoblade Chronicles 3, Triangle Strategy, and Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes.
I just finished my second playthrough of Fire Emblem: Three Houses and decided to marry Claude at the end! Now I can finally start Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, which I’m excited about. I’ll also probably go back to another game in my backlog, Danganronpa 2. I’m on Chapter 2 of that game and just got to the Deadly Life section.
Currently trying to catch up on my backlog! I’m on chapter 15 of my second Fire Emblem: Three Houses playthrough. The Golden Deer cast is so good. I’m enjoying this game just as much if not more the second time around!
I'm still enjoying my new games a lot! I'm trying to unlock the Pro League for all the sports right now in Nintendo Switch Sports. My brother and I are getting our club going in Mario Strikers: Battle League, and trying to get the hang of this incredibly complex gameplay. And I'm finally diving into Xenoblade Chronicles 3! I'm only a few hours in so far but it's already super interesting.
It’s my birthday this week, and I just got some new games, so I’m going to be diving into those this weekend! Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is my new big solo game and I could not be more excited. The first two games are some of my absolute favorite games on Switch. I also got Mario Strikers: Battle League and Nintendo Switch Sports which I’m really excited to play with my friends online.
Since finishing Atelier Ryza 2 a bit ago, I’ve been jumping around between a few games: Fire Emblem: Three Houses (working through my second route before I dive into Three Hopes), Rune Factory 5 when I’m in the mood for something more chill, and I also just recently picked up Atelier Sophie 2. I was really missing the Atelier series game loop. It’s so addicting!
I'm still playing Atelier Ryza 2 at the moment. I've been busy because of school but I'm on spring break now so I'm looking forward to a relaxing week of gaming. Hopefully I can finish Ryza 2 by the end of the break.
Still playing Atelier Ryza 2 mainly. It has such a compelling gameplay loop that I haven't touched anything else recently! Hopefully I can make some good progress in that game this weekend.
I've had a really busy weekend so I haven't had much time to play games, but I'm still plugging away at Atelier Ryza 2 and Triangle Strategy mainly! I just play whichever one I'm in the mood for at the moment.
I went back to Atelier Ryza 2 recently and I forgot how addicting the gameplay loop is! I’ve been playing that nonstop. When I get bored of that I’ll play chapter 2 of Triangle Strategy. Hopefully I can finish a few chapters in that game. I’ll also play a bunch of Dead By Daylight with friends as usual. The new Sadako Rising chapter has been really cool.
The fact that Layton's Mystery Journey is the only Layton game on Switch still is a tragedy! I did enjoy that game a lot to be honest, but Professor Layton is one of my favorite series and I hate how dormant it's been since the 3ds ended.
I would LOVE to see more boards especially! This game was already a lot of fun, but I did get tired fo some of the boards after awhile. More minigames would be awesome too.
