I got Triangle Strategy yesterday so I’m going to be diving into that all weekend! I already finished chapter 1 and it’s such a blast. I’m excited to see how the story and gameplay evolve as it goes on.
Last week I went back to my Golden Deer playthrough of Fire Emblem: Three Houses and I played chapters 8 and 9. I’m trying to finish all 3 routes before Fire Emblem Warriors in June. I also finished case 4 of Great Ace Attorney Chronicles, so I wanna play a bunch of case 5 hopefully. Besides that, I’ll play some Dead By Daylight like usual.
I finally finished Bravely Default II last weekend and got the true ending! I played it for around 65 hours and had an absolute blast. The next entry is definitely a day one purchase for me whenever it comes out.
Now that I finished the main game I've been playing, it's time to dive back into my backlog for the next few weeks, before Triangle Strategy takes over. So I wanna get back to Great Ace Attorney Chronicles, where I left off in the middle of case 4. I'd also love to play some more Blue Reflection: Second Light, which I'm on chapter 2 of.
I'm on the last chapter of Bravely Default II now, so my main goal will be to finish that this weekend! It's definitely one of my favorite Switch games at this point, so I can't wait for the next entry in the series whenever it does come. When I'm playing with friends, I'll probably play some of the usuals: Dead By Daylight, Mario Party Superstars, or Super Mario 3D World.
So many great games are on the way this year so I’m trying to tackle my backlog! played a lot of Bravely Default 2 this weekend. I’m about to finish the boss battle of chapter 6. I wanna finish that game soon so I can get back to Blue Reflection: Second Light and play that throughout February. I’ve already pre-ordered Triangle Strategy so once that comes out everything else will have to be paused while I play that game. I haven’t been so hyped for a game in awhile. 🥳
I’m almost done with chapter 5 of Bravely Default II, so I’m hoping to power through these last couple of chapters this weekend. I’ve had a lot of fun with the game but I’ll be satisfied when it’s over. Once I finish that, I’d like to go back to Great Ace Attorney Chronicles and Blue Reflection: Second Light, two games I sidelined a bit once I got obsessed with Bravely Default. When playing with friends, it’ll be the usual: Dead By Daylight or some Super Mario 3D World.
I’ve been playing Bravely Default II after going back to it recently, and I’m obsessed. I’m 45 hours in now, on chapter 4, and I love every aspect of the game. The art style is beautiful, especially of the environments and towns. The combat is compelling and I love how strategy is rewarded with the Brave/Default system. Boss battles are deliciously challenging. I love how the job system actually allows you to battle however you want to. Even the side quests of this game are great. I wish more RPGs had side quests with cutscenes and character development. This is quickly creeping up on my favorite Switch games list!
When I’m in the mood for something more chill, I’ll keep playing Blue Reflection: Second Light. I got to chapter 2 recently, and I’m enjoying the game a lot so far. The story is very intriguing and I can’t wait to learn more.
When I’m playing with friends, we’ll play Dead By Daylight, Mario Party Superstars, and hopefully some worlds of Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury. We just got to world 6.
It's Christmas weekend, and I have a bunch of new games to play! From the little I've played of each of them today, they're all really fun and I'm looking forward to diving into them more this weekend.
New Games I'll be Playing This Weekend:
Shin Megami Tensei V
Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy (decided to get it on PS4 because I didn't want to play a cloud version)
I just recently got back to this game and I'm having a blast! Glad to see the game is doing well and I'll definitely buy whatever comes next for this series.
1. Dead By Daylight (687 hours)
2. Fortnite (211 hours)
3. Shadowverse: Champion's Battle (73 hours)
I'd also like to point out that if they did top 5 games like they did last year, Dragon Quest XI and Monster Hunter Stories 2 would've rounded out the list. Great games all around. I also clocked in at 1555 hours this year, over 1000 hours more than last year!
Since it’s the week before Christmas and I’ll likely be getting a bunch of games then, I’m gonna spend this weekend trying to finish a few games I already have. I got to case 4 of Great Ace Attorney Chronicles (case 3’s ending was crazy by the way!) so I’m hoping to finish that and case 5 this weekend, and maybe make some more progress in Ys IX: Monstrum Nox if I have anymore time. I’m enjoying that game a lot, but it’s definitely a step down from Ys VIII for me. I’ll definitely play Dead By Daylight, Mario Party Superstars, and Clue with friends as well.
Honestly this was a great year for Switch games! Some of my new favorite Switch games were released this year, like Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, Mario Party Superstars, and Shadowverse: Champion’s Battle. I wish Shadowverse: Champion’s Battle and Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny at least made it into the top 50 but sadly they don’t have enough ratings. Great Ace Attorney Chronicles has also been amazing so I’m glad it made top 10! Super Mario 3D World was a lot of fun to play through with my friend’s online as well. Though I didn’t like Ys IX as much as Ys VIII it’s still a great action RPG so I’m glad to see it get some love. I definitely need to try Monster Hunter Rise, huh?
My favorite games of the year would have to be Mario Party Superstars, Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, Shadowverse: Champion's Battle, and Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny. I also have been loving Great Ace Attorney Chronicles and Ys IX, but I haven't finished them so I can't place them in my favorites just yet. I haven't been able to play Shin Megami Tensei V, but once I do, that could definitely get up there too. Overall I think this year was much better for games than last year, and I can't wait play the games coming out in 2022!
I finished Shadowverse: Champion's Battle last week! It took me about 68 hours to do all 9 chapters. I'm sad it's over, and it's definitely in my top 5 Switch games now. Hopefully it'll get a sequel one day. I might dive into the post-game chapter eventually, but for now I wanna get back to some games that I've been ignoring for awhile.
So I'll be going back to Great Ace Attorney Chronicles and Ys IX: Monstrum Nox. I'm gonna pretty much just going to be diving into those two games this weekend. When I do play with friends, I'll probably play some Mario Party Superstars or Dead By Daylight. Those have been consistent fun for all of us.
Hopefully one day marijuana use will be decriminalized and there won’t be such a big stigma against it, because seven years of imprisonment just for using it is crazy.
I enjoyed the first game a lot back on 3Ds, but I never ended up playing the second game so I’ll definitely try the Switch version. It looks like a nice comfort game to play alongside my more big games.
I made it to the national championships in Shadowverse: Champion's Battle finally! So I'll definitely finish that game this weekend. I also decided to go back to Fire Emblem: Three Houses for the first time in awhile, and continue my 2nd playthrough with the Golden Deers house. This game is still just as fun as ever. I can't wait for the eventual next Fire Emblem game on the Switch.
I'm finally on the last chapter of Shadowverse: Champion's Battle, so I'm gonna try to finish that this weekend. I really have had fun with the game, but it can be so difficult sometimes. Once I finish that game I'll shift my focus to Great Ace Attorney Chronicles and Ys IX: Monstrum Nox, two titles I've been wanting to get back to. I picked up Clue this week on a sale so I'll be playing that with friends, along with some Mario Party and Dead By Daylight like usual.
I'm almost done with Shadowverse: Champion's Battle (just got to Chapter 8!) so I'm gonna try to finish it this weekend. The difficulty has really ramped up in the last couple chapters but I'm still having fun slowly getting through these battles. I'll switch to Great Ace Attorney Chronicles and keep working on case 3 when I'm in the mood for something different. And for multiplayer fun, Dead By Daylight and Mario Party Superstars will be my staples as usual!
I finally finished Monster Hunter Stories 2 yesterday, which is definitely in my top 5 switch games now. It was such a blast and I hope we'll get another game in the series one day! Now that that's done, I'm gonna move onto other games in my backlog that I haven't gotten to, like Great Ace Attorney Chronicles. I'm well into Case 2 now and I had forgotten how good this game was! I'll also play Mario Party Superstars and Dead By Daylight with friends as usual.
I would definitely buy this if it came west. Level-5 was one of my favorite developers back on 3ds. I wish Nintendo supported them now like they did back then. So many good games we're missing out on from them
I’ll definitely play a lot more Mario Party Superstars. I still haven’t tried out Woody Woods or Horror Land so I’m looking forward to trying both out. The game is an absolute blast! I’ll play some Dead By Daylight as usual, and Monster Hunter Stories 2 when I have some solo gaming time. Hopefully I can get close to finishing the game this weekend.
I picked up The Caligula Effect 2 and Mario Party Superstars this week, so I'm definitely gonna play a lot of those. A bunch of my friends also bought Mario Party Superstars so I suspect we'll be playing a marathon of parties this weekend LOL! I'll definitely play some rounds of Dead By Daylight also. If I have any extra time I'll continue Monster Hunter Stories 2 or Shadowverse: Champion's Battle, both of which I'm nearing the end of but I am not ready for them to be over! At least Monster Hunter Stories 2 has a lot of post-game stuff to do, and Shadowverse's online mode should keep me satisfied, at least until a potential sequel (Xseed, please make one!)
@BenAV I LOVE Shadowverse: Champion's Battle! It's so fun but I haven't seen many people talking about it. Do you have a favorite card class yet? Mine is Shadowcraft.
I finally finished Case 1 of Great Ace Attorney Chronicles, and it was awesome. I want to get started on Case 2 this weekend, and also get back to Monster Hunter Stories 2, because I've really ignored it ever since I got Shadowverse: Champion's Battle. My copy of Caligula Effect 2 also came in today so I'm excited to give that a go!
I’ll definitely continue Shadowverse: Champion’s Battle. I’m almost done with Chapter 6 and having an absolute blast still. I also want to play some Super Mario Party with friends, because Mario Party Superstars is coming soon and I’m in a Mario Party mood because of it! If I have extra time I’ll play Great Ace Attorney Chronicles or Monster Hunter Stories 2.
I’m gonna be continuing Shadowverse: Champion’s Battle mainly. I’m obsessed with that game and probably will be playing that until I finish it. I’ll also play some Monster Hunter Stories 2 if I have time!
I'll be continuing Shadowverse: Champion's Battle this weekend. I've been taking my time with the game, doing all the friendship and side quests, and a lot of battles with random NPCs along the way. The card game is so deep and satisfying that the combat never gets old. I finally picked up AI: The Sominum Files because it was on sale on the eshop, so I'm excited to try that as well! If I have any extra time I'll play some more Monster Hunter Stories 2.
I'm gonna play Dead By Daylight with friends, and hopefully I can make some progress in Shadowverse: Champion's Battle, NIS Classics Volume 1, and Monster Hunter Stories 2!
So glad we can finally change CPU difficulty. They were always ridiculously good at motion controls which was quite annoying to play against. The new maps also look really cool.
Loved playing the first one on Switch, so I’ll definitely be picking this up at some point! Combat was my biggest complaint about the first game so I’m glad to see it’s been improved for this entry.
I’ve been loving the first collection so I’ll definitely get this one! NIS has made such fun and unique games over the years so I’m always looking to play more of them.
I decided to pick up Prinny Presents NIS Classics Volume 1 and Shadowverse: Champion’s Battle this weekend, so I’m gonna be starting those! I’ll also keep playing Monster Hunter Stories 2 of course. I’m on the third village and still having a blast with the game.
I'm gonna try to make some major progress in Monster Hunter Stories 2 this weekend. I already finished the second village and did a lot of the third village today. Besides that, I wanna try to play some Great Ace Attorney Chronicles, because I haven't played it a ton since I got it.
This has been a really busy week for me, so it'll be nice to finally get back to Monster Hunter Stories 2, and play some Dead by Daylight with my friends. I hope everyone has a great weekend!
I'll mainly be continuing Monster Hunter Stories 2 this week. The game is absolutely amazing. When I'm playing with friends I'll probably play some Dead by Daylight, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and Super Mario Party.
I honestly love spin-offs! I just recently got Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, and I've never played a mainline Monster Hunter game, but now I'm probably gonna get Rise. The monsters are so cool. I also loved Fire Emblem Warriors coming from Three Houses, even though they're pretty different. Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright actually got me into the Ace Attorney series. So, all-in-all, my experiences with spin-off games have been very positive.
I'm more than ready for another Xenoblade game! The 1st one especially is one of my favorite Switch games, though I did enjoy the second one a lot too. The stories are always amazing for Xenoblade games, so I'm not worried there. My only hope is that they don't have annoying blade skills locking progress like in XC2, which stopped me from progressing a few times in that game.
The “whatever” voiceover is much better. The “booo” one barely has any personality. I wonder why Nintendo changed it. It seems like such a small thing so I don’t get what the point was.
Last weekend, I got a bunch of great games for my birthday:
Ys IX: Monstrum Nox
Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin
The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury
I've been focusing on Monster Hunter Stories 2 because it's just so good! I also wanna make some progress in Super Mario 3D World with my friend because she got the game recently as well, and we've been playing the levels online together. I'll definitely play some Mario Kart 8 Deluxe too, because I forgot how good this game was from when I had it on the Wii U. Hope everyone has an amazing weekend!
I hope they'll at least partner with another publisher to localize this for the west eventually, like they've done with the Ni No Kuni series. I'd buy anything Level-5 released here! They're one of my favorite developers.

Picking up my physical copy of Triangle Strategy at Gamestop tomorrow! I haven't been this hyped for a game in awhile.

New Games I'll be Playing This Weekend:

How come Atelier Ryza 2 isn't anywhere on here despite having 58 ratings and being at an 8.7 currently?
Re: It's Official, Bravely Default II Has Now Sold Over One Million Units
I just recently got back to this game and I'm having a blast! Glad to see the game is doing well and I'll definitely buy whatever comes next for this series.

Absolutely love this game! I’m 35 hours in and still working my way through it. It deserves all the sales it’s gotten and more.

This has been a really busy week for me, so it'll be nice to finally get back to Monster Hunter Stories 2, and play some Dead by Daylight with my friends. I hope everyone has a great weekend!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (August 14th)
I'll mainly be continuing Monster Hunter Stories 2 this week. The game is absolutely amazing. When I'm playing with friends I'll probably play some Dead by Daylight, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and Super Mario Party.
Re: Soapbox: Spin-Offs Can Be A Way In Rather Than A Sell-Out
I honestly love spin-offs!
Re: Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Rumours Intensify
I'm more than ready for another Xenoblade game! The 1st one especially is one of my favorite Switch games, though I did enjoy the second one a lot too. The stories are always amazing for Xenoblade games, so I'm not worried there. My only hope is that they don't have annoying blade skills locking progress like in XC2, which stopped me from progressing a few times in that game.
Re: Daisy Fans Aren't Happy With The New Mario Golf: Super Rush Update
The “whatever” voiceover is much better. The “booo” one barely has any personality. I wonder why Nintendo changed it. It seems like such a small thing so I don’t get what the point was.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (August 7th)
Last weekend, I got a bunch of great games for my birthday:
I've been focusing on Monster Hunter Stories 2 because it's just so good! I also wanna make some progress in Super Mario 3D World with my friend because she got the game recently as well, and we've been playing the levels online together. I'll definitely play some Mario Kart 8 Deluxe too, because I forgot how good this game was from when I had it on the Wii U. Hope everyone has an amazing weekend!
Re: Level-5's Mech-Battle RPG Is Coming This November, Only In Japan
I hope they'll at least partner with another publisher to localize this for the west eventually, like they've done with the Ni No Kuni series. I'd buy anything Level-5 released here! They're one of my favorite developers.
Re: Surprise! Mario Golf: Super Rush Is Getting A New Character, Course And More In Free Update
This update looks really substantial actually! I'm really excited for all of the new additions actually. I'll definitely play some Mario Golf later.
