I was playing Kirby before this with a total of 2 buttons and this is frying my brain a little while getting used to it lol as there’s so much to it. Great game though. Looks amazing and the frame rate is butter.

Anyone know how switch 2 is tracking hardware wise v’s switch 1 at this time in its life?

@splinters same. I just assumed as I’m watching the video small on my phone I couldn’t make out the differences. To me they looked the same and I definitely couldn’t see any “obvious” upgrades.

Great they both look so good though and can’t wait to get my copy tomorrow!

I got this on switch 1 but glad I haven’t got round to it yet as this seems a superb update, thanks rockstar!

@Yoshi3 I agree not everything should be open world just because it can be.

I’ve already got open world fatigue from playstation and don’t need this on Nintendo too.

@OldGamer999 true but I’d have given donkey kong a 10 when NL gave it a 9 so I’m hopeful I’ll enjoy it more and be less critical than the games press who seem increasingly hard to please these days.

@Splash_Woman yes and your points I believe are part of the reason I wasn’t as keen on RDR2. I felt like rockstar wanted it to feel like you’re playing an old cowboy film and forgot it was a game. The pacing was soooo slow I gave up on it and I absolutely love the first RDR.

@daftmagician having a website earn in 2025 is quite tough which is why I imagine hookshot sites now have loads more ads. I hope they’re paying off as they’re annoying!

I’ll probably skip this as I have open world fatigue but I did love the Ubisoft mixed up their formula for outlaws which was excellent. Doesn’t look like they’ve made many changes to it for this though.

@Cakefish have you bolted Nier up since this update and if so is it properly improved and runs well?

MS’s 10 year deal sounded like a ruse to get support for their acquisition more than anything.

A ten year deal may mean we only get one cod for all we know.

Like others have said I’d much rather have forza on switch 2 personally.

Loved this on ps3, then again on ps4. Not sure I want another play-through but for the price I’ll probably bite at some point.

I picked up at 256gb at launch as there were no other capacities available at the time. Sort of wished I’d waited for a 512gb but seems they’re still hard to get hold of.

@DennyCrane hah true it’d need to come with a free polishing cloth wouldn’t it though if it was matt powder coated it might not show smudges so much?

Love the look of this and for some reason has made me desire an actual metal controller with similar styling.

What a drop this is and what a game! Will pick this up but I hope switch 2 has better optimisations vs S1.

I think expedition 33 will take it and that’s fair but personally my goty would be donkey kong just because it was the most fun game I’ve played in years.

Ocarina was an insanely good game for its time and glad it made first place. I miss the days of miyamoto having influence on these games.

Would absolutely love a proper remake on switch 2.

@Max_the_German yes though remember that’s only my opinion and many don’t agree!

For me RDR1 was one of the best games of that generation. Before RDR2 came out it was my most anticipated game but turned out to be one of my most disappointing!

The pacing is my main gripe as it’s so slow. Almost like they wanted it to play like a film and forgot it was a game. The story is also weaker as are the locations. It felt a lot less wild west. I gave up on it and didn’t complete it so maybe I missed something but what I did see didn’t come close to RDR1. Lots love 2 though!

@Toastmaster not sure about that mate. Microsoft are releasing games on discs with basically no data on them. I think Indy on ps5 had about 5gb or something so a big download was required. There’s other instances too.

If they’re doing that why wouldn’t they release cod on switch as a key card? Same thing.

20% of the way into the “10 years of call of duty” deal and so far not even a whisper.

I feel MS are all over the place at the minute trying to work out what they’re doing and how they’re trying to do it with little room to support Nintendo in the process even though the desire is (maybe) there.

For me it’s really good overall with a couple of odd exceptions like Nier. That’s a big game from a big publisher and surprised it’s not updated to be supported.
