My concerns are less AI in gaming and more in general about the potential threats that may come from it.

It seems we are full speed ahead advancing AI without a thought for where it’s heading and what potential threats may occur against us, our systems and about everything else.

When the tipping point occurs there may be no turning back.

@Mana_Knight sorry didn’t mean to put you off and you might like it more than I did. A little bit different but have you tried the Ori games?

@Mana_Knight yes is similar to child of light and short hike but personally don’t think it was as good as either of those. Seemed very shallow like a 2D left/right walking simulator to me.

It’s annoying how these companies take your money a year in advance before shipping the product. It’s a very annoying and cheeky practice.

I really would love forza on switch 2 please Microsoft.

@swedetrap yeah I find joycon pretty poor for most games which is why I love the pro controller so much, makes playing games like cyber much better and comfortable.

@SBandy1 yeah for a minute I thought we were getting a grid upgrade path for switch 2. Oh well!

Economics 101 - price goes up, sales go down.

Having only a 64gb cart was a definite (and poor) oversight by Nintendo.

Limiting devs means limiting the consumers which are willing to support their games.

Myles sounded very much like the slightly annoying Chadley from the FF7 remakes. Anyone know if he’s the same voice actor?

Already played this on PlayStation and even though I’ve got a massive backlog to clear, the idea of playing this handheld is tempting me with a second play through. Great game!

@eldersnake yes definitely, I hope the cross gen between switches isn’t too long for that reason but realise there’s a lot of switch 1’s out there so it probably will be.

Prime 4 looks beautiful, until you get on the bike at least!

Prime 4 is brilliant so is a real shame to see it fall off a cliff like that. Retro did a great job.

So in other words the release was badly managed and it didn’t hit the submission deadline. The devs know what date this needs to occur so they either need to release it later or get the submission done in time.

I definitely think your pinball and my Metroid money ball could be blended into one game!

Also really hope 4 sells well enough that we get a prime 5…

Loving prime 4 so far but playing it has made me want a morph ball spinoff game!

Something along the lines of super monkey ball but also with puzzles etc.

Had the hori split pad pro for S1 and really liked them. Sort of hoping they’ll make some for S2 but I could be tempted by this instead.

Before launch I thought the official joycon would be more comfortable on S2 than the originals but actually for my hands the opposite is true.

Absolutely love prime 4 but I am worried we won’t see any more of these games the way it seems to be selling.

Been playing a lot of prime and it dawned on me I’d love a spinoff just playing as the morph ball! Similar to what they did with captain toad.

Super Metroid Ball!

It’s these kind of games I miss Nintendo making. Don’t get me wrong I love Zelda, Mario, AC, kart and splatoon but it feels like little risk is taken these days with Nintendo.

They used to make games like Pushmo, doshin, wave race, chibi robo, dillon and often for a good price. I miss it.

At least they took a “risk” with donkey kong I suppose!

I’m still holding out hope we’ll get forza on switch. These games haven’t quite done it for me and not convinced this one will either.

If they already know “precisely” what fans want, why haven’t they given what fans want?

Too busy playing prime 4 at 120fps to care!

I feel critics have been quite harsh on MP4 and it’s a better game in my opinion that many of them would say. Hope it sells well enough that we get future Metroid entries and it doesn’t go the way of wave race, pilotwings, pushmo etc…

So now we have Prime 1&4 on switch does that mean we’ll get the rumoured 2&3 remasters too? Rumours say they were finished ages ago and tbh I was half expecting them before 4 came out. You know for continuity etc…

Ooh paramount have come out guns blazing. Is nice to hear some tough talking from a company like this for a change!

Overall really enjoying it and while I’m not a fan of the hand holding npc’s they’re not as intrusive as I first imagined. It’s my favourite Metroid since prime 1 and I don’t even mind the desert section, the bike’s quite fun.

Shout out absolutely needs to go to the music devs as the audio is superb! Also the hdr implementation at 120fps is gorgeous.

Edit: my only slight gripe is the super slow scanning reticule. Wish it was faster and hope they’ll speed it up in an update. Is only a minor thing but when you’ve got lots to scan it can be a bit tiresome. Maybe I’m just too impatient.

Not sure why mp4 hasn’t gained more positive recognition. Retro have done a superb job in my opinion and I’m loving every minute.

@Ogbert reading your comment just made me really want a Dillon and/or pushmo follow up. I miss the days Nintendo made these smaller budget games. How are the originals not even on switch?!

Bought my switch 2 day one basically to wait for MP4 but absolutely loved DK in the summer.

I’m confident in the future after seeing how well games like cyberpunk and outlaws have turned out!

Hardware wise I’d have preferred a bigger battery capacity at the expense of a few mm’s more depth and the joycon aren’t very comfortable for my hands.

@Dimjimmer competition is healthy. Unless you were being sarcastic?

Anyway I hope Rocksteady and Avalanche come out of this unscathed if it goes through, but judging by recent acquisitions I’d highly doubt it.

There’s no way Hunters is better than Prime 4!

I was playing Kirby before this with a total of 2 buttons and this is frying my brain a little while getting used to it lol as there’s so much to it. Great game though. Looks amazing and the frame rate is butter.
