@ottospooky
You say: "The install base just isn't good enough for AAA titles. Metroid, F-Zero and other franchises really aren't system sellers. Nintendo will not pay high development costs for new games..."
I say: This sucks. If true, it means they just don't believe in theirselves. I bet those who complain for the lack of AAA titles are those who bought the Wii U at launch because they believed in Nintendo.
GC had 2 Metroid. Wii had 2 Metroid and an optimized port of the GC games. Wii U got a straight port of a port without any kind of optimization. This is the reason why Metroid fans saw Pinball and Hunters as harmless spin off and this thing as a fishbone in their throat.

@BXXL I'm a bit younger than you, but I'm still an aged gamer that love this expensive hobby. With all the bills to pay it's hard to save something for gaming and I hoped that the Wii U, thanks to more power and HD could have been the definitive console, the one I'd played the nintendo classic series in a new shining light and great third party games. Three years later we still don't have a Zelda, a Metroid, a F-Zero and we must consider ourselves lucky if we'll play the first of it next year. It seems that the only way to be not disappointed with Nintendo is having a PS4 next to it...
I even wonder in what they are investing all the money they get from these **** amiibos...

@Varelius Ok, thanks! To pause the action in a permadeath game resolves everything. The game will be mine now!
EDIT: For some reason I was sure this had an unforgivable and unpausable menu system like Dark Souls that would have made it too hard since there are a lot of menus to scroll. Sometimes I wonder why reviewers don't spend some more words in explaining how a game literally works: the dear old reviews in gaming magazines were 2/3 pages long!

@Captain_Gonru I'd like to try a demo before spending some money. "Choosing what item you have equipped, switching between food and useful items, mixing things together, or moving items around. All of this and more could have been simplified and streamlined by the Gamepad, but [...] instead you have to press a button to bring up the inventory, scroll through it, close the inventory, then hit the corresponding D-pad direction to perform the action. It becomes tiresome quick and yet players will have to perform these actions over and over as they progress through Don’t Starve: Giant Edition."

@GreatPlayer I know that Pikmin 3 is awesome and this is way I bought it as soon as it was released, with all the following dlc. But its still an industrial product. According to your logic, Nintendo should ask € 60 for most of its games, even if 30 years old. Half of my 360 library is made of Goty and Classics edition of great games and if they are sold at € 20/30 its because they can still earn money from them at that price. Nintendo policy about games pricing is just crazy and unrealistic.
