An interesting @ThomasWhitehead 's prophecy from 2013.
"Nintendo has other priorities right now, clearly, than concerning itself with producing new Wii U models with more storage; it has to improve sales and secure the platform's medium term viability before all else. As time goes on and developers shift work solely to the One and PS4, keeping the Wii U's place at that table isn't just dependent on showing these developers that it's worth scaling and adapting for Wii U, but also showing infrastructure support. Running everything off a disc is becoming increasingly rare and challenging, with GTA V perhaps being a reminder, so Nintendo may need to adapt to that reality." https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2013/08/talking_point_the_wii_us_limited_hard_drive_space_and_future_install_headaches
My seven years old 360 lets me install huge games from discs into my little hard disk to enjoy them at their best.
It's time for a firmware update that would allow the next-gen WiiU to match the old-gen consoles...
Two years later Lego City Undercover is still € 60 while newer Lego games are € 30. This is the Nintendo difference I'd like to forget about.
TWO YEARS LATER. € 60. BECAUSE OF NINTENDO.
Good job, NL. I asked for collectibles or some "tricks" to add replay value considering how short the game is and its price (survivor mode in ZombiU and medals in Captain Toad do that job in a very good way) but if they'll come later depending on how the game will sell... Well, I just can't buy this right now because I'm saving for Kirby, S.T.E.A.M., Paper Mario... I fear this game will turn into a niche game only because of its price...
@hylian-pudding The funny thing is that I don't wear nostalgia glasses because my first Nintendo home console was a Gamecube, and only later I bought a used N64 and some games. BTW, I'll download for sure Paper Mario even if it looks worse than PM Sticker Star!
@hylian-pudding Many gamers don't realise that a 3d game from '96 can't look as good as a 3d game from 2006, while 2d games are not so criticised for their grapichs. Mario 64, Resident Evil and Tomb Raider were masterpieces in 1996, and they still are 10/10 games if you consider that their graphics were the top for that time. @Deanster101 Your comment popped-up while I was writing this answer and its exactly what I meant!
@hylian-pudding There's a big difference even between the first Mario and New super Mario Bros released 20 years later but nobody would complain about the graphics from '85.
Since this store sell and delivers only in UK, I looked for other official store in Italy. Well, this is what you can order: http://nos.nintendo-europe.com/?locale=it_IT An 8GB SD card for € 30!
Why don't Nintendo just sell its games and products in every country via internet?
@BLPs Checkpoints? One can need them maybe only when looking for 8 red stars: in that case one can use the Restore point option, even if it feels like cheating. Controls? I stopped falling from platforms when I realised than Mario instantly stop as soon as I moved away my thumb from the control stick. Inconsistence with what Mario can or cannot do? Well, it's a videogame from '96.
I may even consider the idea of buying an amiibo if they unlock a certain doll. I mean, a Yoshi-like robot with a flamethrower in its mouth and an eggthrower in its butt deserves extra € 15.
@LegendOfSheik I guess you are talking about those famous costumes? You need to finish the game to unlock them, IIRC, so they won't ruin your first playthrough!
Springtime in Italy = just moved the WiiU next to my little garden so I can play N64 games on the gamepad while laying on a deckchair under a blooming magnolia.
We bought a WiiU for the very same reason we'll buy a NX: to play Nintendo games. Problem is that after 4 years WiiU is still missing what Gamecube had in 5 years: F-Zero, Zelda (2 games!), Metroid (2 games!), Fire Emblem, Paper Mario, Battalion Wars, Eternal Darkness, Luigi's Mansion, Animal Crossing, another Pikmin...
It's one of the most underrated zombie game, and it's the only one I played that really makes you fear zombies. Talking about horror games, where's the UE/US version of the last Fatal Frame?
ALTTP, Ocarina and Windwaker were released one year after the console they ran on; the Wii U will get this 4 years later. I think this explains well how Nintendo care about their home console nowadays.
Nice one, @Grimlock_King.
"Paul looks now like someone put sunglasses on a stick of deodorant" said once Martin Short talking about Paul Shaffer, and Paul laughed about it.
A good joke is always a good joke. BTW, she's a great performer.
Now I wanna see Elton John dressed like Tingle and singing "Honky Cat" in a forest.
Sounds good. I love XCOM and its asphyxiating atmosphere and I'm still playing it. This game seems to have many thing in common with the Fireaxis game.
They could easily bring the Virtual Console on mobiles, right? With the right pricing, every single owner of a smartphone/tablet could became a Nintendofan, especially the youngest ones, ipnotized by the deadly F2P games.
I'll support a new IP and Intelligent System for sure, buying this at Day1 when it will reach Europe (May 15th). In the meantime I'll play again some Wonderful 101 just to remind me that the disappoitment due to a minor flaw is nothing compared to the surprise of playing something new and different!
There's a Puzzle Bubble Universe (2011) for 3Ds here in Europe, but obviously is very expensive. Even on Amazon it costs more than € 30, while it's $ 10 in US. It's great to be a gamer in Europe.
We lucky europeans have to wait 2 months to play it. Localization? I don't think so. Even when there's very few voice acting, like in Hyrule Warriors and Pikmin 3, we still get English-only dubbing. You lazy Nintendo...

Dolls is another good reason to hope this game have a huge success: it may pave the way to an Armored Core or a Front Mission game for Wii U.

The Direct will start midnight for most of Europe, basically April 2nd.
We not only suffer games delay, We even have a Direct delay!!! 8)
Re: Nintendo Direct Confirmed for 1st April, With Updates on Wii U and 3DS
Hype level 1/10.
A release date for Xeno and Yoshi's would be enough.
Still waiting for Kirby and S.T.E.A.M. anyway...

@alLabouTandroiD How can the EU title be inferior if it's five letters longer? 11 weeks of delay for 5 letters sounds legit.
