An interesting @ThomasWhitehead 's prophecy from 2013.
"Nintendo has other priorities right now, clearly, than concerning itself with producing new Wii U models with more storage; it has to improve sales and secure the platform's medium term viability before all else. As time goes on and developers shift work solely to the One and PS4, keeping the Wii U's place at that table isn't just dependent on showing these developers that it's worth scaling and adapting for Wii U, but also showing infrastructure support. Running everything off a disc is becoming increasingly rare and challenging, with GTA V perhaps being a reminder, so Nintendo may need to adapt to that reality."

Good job, NL. I asked for collectibles or some "tricks" to add replay value considering how short the game is and its price (survivor mode in ZombiU and medals in Captain Toad do that job in a very good way) but if they'll come later depending on how the game will sell... Well, I just can't buy this right now because I'm saving for Kirby, S.T.E.A.M., Paper Mario... I fear this game will turn into a niche game only because of its price...

@hylian-pudding The funny thing is that I don't wear nostalgia glasses because my first Nintendo home console was a Gamecube, and only later I bought a used N64 and some games. BTW, I'll download for sure Paper Mario even if it looks worse than PM Sticker Star!

@hylian-pudding Many gamers don't realise that a 3d game from '96 can't look as good as a 3d game from 2006, while 2d games are not so criticised for their grapichs. Mario 64, Resident Evil and Tomb Raider were masterpieces in 1996, and they still are 10/10 games if you consider that their graphics were the top for that time.
@Deanster101 Your comment popped-up while I was writing this answer and its exactly what I meant!

@BLPs Checkpoints? One can need them maybe only when looking for 8 red stars: in that case one can use the Restore point option, even if it feels like cheating. Controls? I stopped falling from platforms when I realised than Mario instantly stop as soon as I moved away my thumb from the control stick. Inconsistence with what Mario can or cannot do? Well, it's a videogame from '96.

I'll support a new IP and Intelligent System for sure, buying this at Day1 when it will reach Europe (May 15th). In the meantime I'll play again some Wonderful 101 just to remind me that the disappoitment due to a minor flaw is nothing compared to the surprise of playing something new and different!
