Sadly CD-Projekt and Marvellous are going to be the outliers in a generation of Game-Key card releases. Bit of a shame all round.

A game so close to my heart; how could I get them wrong?!

Xillia Duology or Abyss seems the most likely at the moment. Since I own Abyss on both PS2 and 3DS and have never played Xillia I definitely would like to see that first.

Never need an excuse for an Abyss replay though.

Just finished the HD remake on Switch (was hyped after the sequel announcement) and I found it quite enjoyable. With the exception of that Blockhead Grande, though it can be cheesed with a quick phone recording and I suppose the little emotional moment following is kind of poignant for such a simple enemy.

@Kazman2007 There was a massive gap between Other M and Metroid Dread so there's always the chance for a potential resurgence. In the meantime I'll play the original and Lost Age to death on NSO just to convince Nintendo that we're here.

Nintendo houses my favourite franchises hands down. If the next Mario, Zelda, Fire Emblem, DK, Splatoon or Golden Sun (let me have this) games released on a Nintendo Toaster, I would buy Nintendo Toaster.

For that same reason, and no other, I will buy Switch 2. Everything else is a bonus.

Guess somebody decided that these games are degenerate? Good thing we have wholesome games like Hentai Tennis Aces.

Personally I find that a Kinstone-like system would be ideal in an open world Zelda title; it would easily facilitate elements of the world changing piece by piece either for narrative or simple sidequest reasons. As long as any changes can be seamlessly tracked of course.

@roy130390 You're certainly right; the future iterations of the franchise is the most potent place to make changes in characterization that will feel more natural and stick as a result. Media that exists should be shown to us as is, with the exception of QoL that makes the game more playable on a current platform.

I'll probably grab the game myself closer to Christmas (I just gave my brother a loan to fix up his ailing car so I'm out of pocket for now.)

It was a great game then, it's a great game now. The few niggles it has overall can't dampen what is an excellent adventure.

@roy130390 I grew up with shows like Looney Tunes and Tom & Jerry; in the latter Tom was always having his tail blown up, nearly chopped by axes or having his face smashed with an anvil and despite this I understood the slapstick nature of the show even if I wouldn't have been able to verbalize it at that age.

I certainly never tried to do those same things to siblings or schoolmates because of simple common sense, a commodity we seem to be lacking or, worse, willfully ignoring.

On the note of Amy I always found the Fleetway comic version of her character more endearing; while she retained that bubbly love toward Sonic she was also the savvy tech genius before that became a run-into-the-ground trope. (Tropes aren't bad, their overuse is.)

Sacred Cards was probably the earliest Yugioh game I'd ever played (and I was always desperate for more card shenanigans back then) so it would be fun to experience it again after so many years.

Never experienced these games back in the day and I'm always looking for excuses to play more RPGs. I think I may have found one.

The first game was a genuinely engaging callback to Castlevania in terms of its gameplay style while overlaying the root series humour as it progressed. Hopefully this sequel can shine as brightly.

All just quite pathetic. There are much more reasonable ways to vent frustrations you have with the world.

Horizon is a fantastic series but in terms of Smash representation I would like to see Crash Bandicoot or, dare I hope, Twinbee ahead of someone like Aloy.

It's certainly a unique concept so if the moment-to-moment gameplay is fun I'm down for it.

Joking aside I think it all depends on the game, length of time since its original release and whether or not additions have been made to it (gameplay additions mind you).

Rainbow Islands.... I have such fond memories of watching my brother and Dad playing this game. Alongside Flimbo's Quest and Creatures 2 this is one of the reasons I got into games.

Sadly, or maybe not, I let Zane log into Hypnospace one fateful December 1999.

The one thing I couldn't get by was the sheer length of the loading time between each and every screen.
