There will be hundreds of games released which will work across both Switch platforms for the foreseeable future. Just as we see with PS4/PS5.

No matter which one you choose, you'll be bored rigid if you decide to give one a play through.

I think people either get and enjoy the Human Entertainment game style or they don't. Super Formation Soccer was a big seller on the SFC import scene as it was an early release. I still have brand new unsold copies of this and the sequels lying around.

From the '94 update onwards, the game engine was overhauled and the speed of the PC Engine games returned, making for a far more enjoyable experience.

@traceman Super Formation Soccer/Super Soccer was developed by Human and was published by Nintendo at launch. Super Tennis was developed by Tose and published by Tonkin House in Japan and Nintendo everywhere else.

I’m unsure who owns the game rights of Super Tennis now, but it would be a big miss losing one of the very finest ever local 2 player 16 bit games.

Can we have the Japanese MD version too? Probably the rarest Japanese game for any system.

@Solid_Python the emulation comment was done in jest, however I’m interested to see the real world performance of the Switch 2. I’m sure it’ll outperform the SD in docked mode, however handheld mode may be a completely different matter.

@Solid_Python it won’t, it’ll probably be slightly less powerful than a steam deck.

I wonder if switch 2 emulators will eventually be running on steam deck?

Mr Chin and Rollerball on the MSX were my introduction to HAL in the mid 80's.

@Serpenterror of course it matters. If there is data corruption, partial or complete rom file deletion from the card there is no value and no collectibility. You cannot just reflash the game to a retail card.

This has been a problem with the 3DS and I was unsure if this was the case with Switch?

As far as the eshop is concerned, they removed the seal years and years ago. Maybe they could replace it with a shovelware guaranteed label?

Don't these switch cards use some type of flash based memory like the 3ds?

I'm sure they don't have the longevity of a good old fashioned cartridge.

I’m split between 349 and 379 in the UK.

I have spoken to my 2 distributors in Japan and they have zero idea as to what the price will be and they would be the first to find out. The Costco palceholder is nothing more than that.

@tgp-87 definitely, along with Seaman, Fishing Frenzy and James Pond. If it isn’t fish related though it won’t play because there is no backwards codpatibility

@Medic_alert Nintendo needs another global pandemic. It definitely didn’t hurt Switch 1 sales.

I still believe they will want to make a reasonable margin on every device sold. It isn’t cutting edge tech so they probably have room to achieve that.

I’m expecting a few more Switch titles to be released by Nintendo over the remainder of the year. They are still manufacturing the original system in multiple SKU’s with an ever growing new user base so more rereleases along the lines of Rhythm Heaven Megamix, Yoshi’s Wooly World and Mario Galaxy 2 could possibly happen.

EA should have taken note when they were releasing crummy fifa ports on the switch.

@Rhaoulos I did say almost. Lots of microsd hardware will not be able to access it's performance gains.

It's giving us SSD performance gains in a micro sd card. It's a big step up .

Spent a good couple of hours playing through Magical Pop'n last night. It's a great little platformer. It's as rare as Rendering Ranger, but for me, a better game.
