Re: 13 Switch Emulators Hit By Latest Wave Of Nintendo Takedowns

@The_Nintendo_Expat Not at all. That is very niche market, however I still cannot comprehend how it is deemed okay to steal games regardless of age if they are still copyrighted.

As a Time Extension reader I'm sure you have seen the guides they publish including links to emulators for the Analogue Pocket. Piracy is being normalised purely on the age of the game in question. Hookshot, who rely heavily on advertising revenue from the big publishers are skating on thin ice IMO.

@Protion9 the same goes for every person in this comments section who justify stealing games because there is no legal avenue to obtaining them.

I was brought up as a kid knowing that if I cannot afford to buy something, I simply didn't get it. The sense of entitlement round here is crazy.

@DennyCrane in reality, you are no better than any other pirate if your justification is that the games you play on emulators are for older, no longer supported systems.

Arcade and Console Archives along with a multitude of other releases of older games belong to somebody who definitely does not want you to play them for free.

Playing a 2026 Switch game or a 1986 Arcade game is in no different in the eyes of the copyright holders, publishers and developers.

@Toastmaster in all fairness, other than in name, this isn't the Eden Games of yesteryear.

The Eden Games of today makes predominantly blockchain based games which tend to sit in the, 'Shovelware' category.

They made some amazing titles, but that was a entirely different company.
