Re: Iwata Vows To Listen To E3 2015 Digital Event Feedback And "Work To Better Meet Your Expectations"

Souldin

Q) Do you think the Digital Event was really that bad?

A) It wasn't the worst, but it was very lacking. Average at best. There was much too Mario in a singular Direct, and given how short Nintendo's Digital Event, that wasn't very good.

Furthermore, all the games they showed were from their core/bigger series. No Dillon's Rolling Western, or Punch-Out, or Panel De Pon, or Chibi-Robo; the latter of which had a new trailer after the direct that I really think should have been included in the Direct. Nintendo had some pretty good reveals from their mini-direct/Japan-direct and even after Digial Event videos (such as the new Fatal Frame trailer and Chibi-Robo) that would have really improved Nintendo's Digital Event if they had been included in it.

On the positive side of things, I liked the muppet idea, particularly in how it relates to Star Fox.

Re: Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash Is Coming To The Wii U Centre Court This Holiday Season

Souldin

Mario Power Tennis is my favourite of the Mario sports games, and one of my favourite Gamecube games, so a new Mario Tennis game for Wii U does please me a lot.

That said, I feel having it as an E3 reveal alongside Mario & Luigi Paper Jam as well as so much Mario Maker coverage took away some of my enthusiasm for this game. I really feel they should have shown this off at some other time, like in the micro-direct we had prior to E3 or even leave it as a treehouse reveal. Too much Mario in a single condensed video would be my main criticism of why I wasn't fond of Nintendo's Digital Event this year.

Re: Mario & Luigi Paper Jam Brings More RPG Action To 3DS Next Year

Souldin

Q) Are you excited about another Mario & Luigi game for 3DS?

A) I must admit, I'm not the biggest fan of the Mario & Luigi games, and have still yet to pick up Mario & Luigi: Dream Bros.

That said, I love Paper Mario, and I love the look of this completely unexpected crossover. This game is a definite must have.

The only problem I'd say is that it's reveal lost a lot of it's lustre with how much Mario was focused on in the Digital Event.

Re: Hyrule Warriors Legends Features All The DLC Of The Wii U Version, Plus Wind Waker Content

Souldin

I'm thankful for a 2016 release, my wallet hurts when it knows of the impending Christmas season. That said, I'm still on the fence with this game, they'd be little point in me getting the game if I can get Tetra and the King of Red Lions on my Wii U copy of Hyrule Warriors.

In terms of Warriors style games, I may be better off focusing on getting the soon to be released Samurai Chronicles 3.

Re: Star Fox Zero Marks An Explosive Return To Form On Wii U

Souldin

I heard some people were complaining about the graphics and so I rewatched the trailer. I'm not sure where some of these complaints are coming from. Sure, the grass texture looked a little shoddy, but the water looked wonderful, and kudos for Nintendo managing to make the dark depths of space look vibrant. Everything, particularly the ships and space stations, just seem to pop out and draw my eyes to them.

As for the gameplay itself, it looks fast and smooth, and most importantly, a ton of fun. I may be short of cash right now, but hopefully I'll have enough funds spare to grab up this game when it comes out in the holidays.

Re: Nintendo Posts a New Fatal Frame V Trailer, Fall Release Confirmed For North America

Souldin

Q: What do you think of the new Fatal Frame?

A: Intriguing. I've been enjoying a lot of Temco Koei games as of late, and so have interested in trying out Fatal Frame, particularly with how good this upcoming instalment looks.

A: Do you think Nintendo should've included this in the Digital Event?

A: YES! Oh gosh, they should have, it would add more diversity to an event which was drowning in too much Mario. It would have also fit perfectly with the focus of the event, that being 2015 releases. A real missed opportunity to show the game some more.

Re: Metroid Prime: Federation Force Is The Metroid Game You Didn't Expect, Or Perhaps Want

Souldin

Wait!? This is what Next Level Games have been working on?

I... I'm now feeling the disappointment. I mean, the idea is cool, I've heard people suggest a game where you play as the federation before, but there are many other things I'd prefer Next Level Games to be working on. That said, perhaps they are working on a Wii U game, and it's lack of a reveal was due to it being a 2016 game. I feel that might be why we didn't see a lot of things.

Re: Harvest Moon: Seeds of Memories Heading to Wii U This Winter

Souldin

Q: Are you excited about this first Harvest Moon game for Wii U?

A: YES! Yes, I am excited for this news. For some reason, even though my only devoted Harvest Moon experience has been Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life, I've had a desire to play another Harvest Moon game for the last couple of years.

For some reason, I don't feel like I'd enjoy the experience of a Harvest Moon game on my handheld, I'd much rather sit down at home and relax with such a series, so I passed up on the later 3DS entries and have been waiting for a console release. With the whole Story of Seasons thing that happened, I figured my hopes for a console based Harvest Moon were dashed, but lo and behold, my Wii U shall be graced with a Harvest Moon title.

Hopefully I can re-experience the same joys as I had with playing Harvest Moon for the first time on my Gamecube. I look forward to hearing more about this instalment at E3.

Re: First Footage Emerges of Bandai Namco's Project Treasure on Wii U

Souldin

I like the look of the trailer; the gameplay looks pretty fun and I like the setting. As it's free-to-play, I'll be able to try it out, and if I enjoy it and they do their free-to-play module right, then I may spend more time with it, and if I ever wish to, spend some money on it.

Hopefully the next trailer will be a little more in-depth, but all in all, I look forward to getting the chance to try this out.

Re: Gawk at the Dragon Quest VIII Promotional Poster and Screens

Souldin

Dragon Quest VIII happens to be the only game in the entire Dragon Quest series I've actually played. I didn't really get to far, and while I didn't find it amazing per say, I did have fun with it. Perhaps if it does get released over here, and next year is a light year for 3DS game releases, I may consider picking it up.

That said, from what I've heard there have already been a couple of Dragon Quest remakes for the 3DS that have not come out of Japan, so it's not something I should expect. Still, would be nice for the fans of the series for this game to be the exception and get a worldwide release.

Re: Art Academy: Atelier Sketched In For 26th June Release in Europe, Includes YouTube Upload Feature

Souldin

@Hy8ogen Really? Huh, I figured that the Sketchpad had some basic tutorials with it, but if it's simply the drawing utensils then that wouldn't be a good option for me.

I guess if I want to learn how to draw on my Wii U gamepad, and hopefully improve my overall drawing skills, I'd have to get the full game. Still, £25 makes me question a purchase.

It is apparently coming out on the same day as Yoshi's Wooly World, which I'll need to pick up for my brothers birthday, so I'll see how much money I have around then and consider a purchase there and then.

Re: Art Academy: Atelier Sketched In For 26th June Release in Europe, Includes YouTube Upload Feature

Souldin

Q: Are you excited that Art Academy: Atelier is finally confirmed, and intrigued by the YouTube option?

A: I'm not sure now. I was considering getting the Art Academy sketch pad so I could learn how to do some drawings on the Wii U gamepad, and perhaps just help out my drawing skills in general, but upon hearing of another Art Academy game coming out I decided to wait.

Now that I know it's a full game, and at a much larger cost, I'm a little unsure. I was kind of expecting more of an expansion to the Sketchpad, not an upgrade of this size or cost. I mostly want to learn how to draw on the gamepad so I can make some little comics/funny comments on Miiverse, maybe even get some basic drawing skills to help out with my my YouTube channel, nothing quite so serious as to spend £25.

So I'm a little at odds now. Should I just get the Sketchpad, or pay out quite a bit more for this bigger and better version? Do I even need anything more than the Sketchpad for what I want to learn and be able to do through it?

Re: Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX Pushed Back To September, Special Edition Should Soften The Blow

Souldin

Q: Were you looking forward to playing the game this month?

A: I was looking forward to purchasing Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX this month, but I was not looking forward to playing it. It was going to be coming out the same day as Splatoon, and Splatoon would inevitably take priority, so as much as I enjoy the Hatsune Miku games, it would have ended up in my backlog until I've had my fill of Splatoon.

Q: Will the additional wait cause you any upset?

A: Oh no, not at all. Well... a little, it would have been nice to get most of the games I've been wanting this year all at once, save me any worries about my bank account later down the line.

On the whole though, I'm okay with this. I'd have been playing Splatoon first anyway, and now I can opt to play Fossil Fighters Frontier on my 3DS while I wait for Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX to release and to take over my 3DS cartridge slot.

Re: Samurai Warriors: Chronicles 3 Is Slashing Its Way Westward This June

Souldin

Hmm, well I have been enjoying things from Temco Koei quite a bit, and I have been seeing about trying more and more of their games. I may give this game a look-see.

That said, I wonder whether I should see about getting the first game before getting this latest instalment (to my knowledge, the second entry never came out overseas), if I decide to do so. Perhaps if I see the predecessor in the store for cheap I'll see to it.

Re: Square Enix Pushes Back Its E3 Press Conference to Avoid Nintendo Clash

Souldin

That's great news to here. Last year I only watched the big three's E3 conferences, but I'm hoping to try and manage to watch all of the E3 conferences this year. Admittedly, there isn't much to interest me in most of the others, but still I feel it will be a nice thing to watch as many of them as I can anyway, and it will give me plenty to discuss on my channel.

As far as Square Enix goes, my only real hope is for Bravely Second to get a worldwide release announcement (or to have a situation like last time, when an improved version is announced and we end up getting that as our standard version). A new Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles for Wii U would be cool, and I did like Children of Mana on the DS so a new Mana game like that for 3DS would be great, though I'm not expecting these.

Re: Great News, Just Dance Fans, Ubisoft Has Confirmed Its E3 Conference Time

Souldin

'We'll always have Just Dance'

Hopefully that isn't a double meaning there, I'd like more than Just Dance to pop up on Wii U.

It's rather frustrating, as despite Ubisoft's befuddles and poor dealings, I have been enjoying some of their games as of late. Watch Dogs is an admittedly average game with plenty of flaws, but I appreciated it's concept and had a lot of fun with it. I didn't enjoy it enough to buy it's DLC, but if Watch Dogs 2 were to, by some miracle given Ubisoft's recent sayings, appear on Wii U, I'd likely acquire it.

Then there's Child of Light, which is still currently my favourite video game of this generation, and certainly one of my top 20 favourite video games of all time. I've seen other games made by UbiArt and they've all been rather fantastic, so I'm hoping any future instalments of the Child of Light series, and UbiArt games in general, don't pass by the Wii U.

Anyway, my main focus for E3 will be watching the main three shows of Microsoft, Sony (even though I lack a PS4, I can use this as a chance to try and find Birthday and Christmas presents for my brother that does), and Nintendo, but if I get some spare time I'll try and see about watching all the other conferences/shows taking place at E3, including Ubisofts.

Re: Video: Here Is The First Footage Of 90s Arcade Racer Running On The Wii U

Souldin

Oh gosh, the colour, the design, my eyes can't take the beauty! Seriously, this game looks absolutely fantastic.

Anyway, I've never been interested in 90's arcade racers... notably because I've never really played them (does Road Rash count?), but just from design alone this game is catching my interest. I may see to checking it out, depending on it's price and what other games are trying to vie for my wallet at the time.

Re: Sit Tight, Nintendo Will Announce Its E3 2015 Plans Tomorrow

Souldin

If this is teasing a Punch Out U reveal for E3, once again utilising motion controls and the balance board, I'm going to be ecstatic. Punch Out U has been amongst my top 5 most wanted Nintendo E3 reveals for a long while, and ever since Next Level Games have been working on this unknown game, I've been hoping and hoping for it to be my wished for Punch Out U.

It could ultimately just be a reference rather than a hint to it, but still, I can hope. In any case, I look forward to this announcement about their announcements at E3, last years video was quite enjoyable.

Re: Poll: Did The Splatoon Global Testfire Hit Its Targets?

Souldin

I played through all three sessions (my brain had forgotten what sleep was by the time 4am hit), and had a blast with all of them.

I only encountered two very short moments of lag, and only two instances where the connection died and thus the match had to end. Otherwise, the connection was brilliant, quickly getting in and back into games. Even in the few moments where they took a couple of minutes, the Squid Jump arcade game kept me occupied long enough to make the wait a breeze.

The demo was awesome, with the only criticism I have to it being how they kept the same two stages for all three sessions. It would have been nice to see them rotate them like they mentioned they would in the actual game itself. In any case, I loved it to bits, and now must suffer waiting all the way until the end of May before I can launch myself back into the game. It's likely to be an all day, all night experience for me on the day of purchase (I wish my Game store would have a midnight release for it).

Re: Nihilumbra Begins Its Wii U Journey on 14th May

Souldin

Finally! I've been waiting on this game for ages. It kept saying it would release last year, I believe back in Spring. Then it changed it winter, and then it never came out in winter, but despite being 2015 hadn't changed it's release date from 2014.

Alas, I'll finally get to play this amazing looking game. I hope to enjoy it!

Re: The Legend of Zelda’s Tingle Would Be An Amazing Boss In Shovel Knight According To Yacht Club Games Programmer

Souldin

Tingle as a boss in Shovel Knight would be pretty awesome. I've admittedly still yet to get the game, it came out after my Christmas shopping which left me with little to no money left to spend, and there are other games I'm considering a priority (though my younger brother does keep going on at me to get it... why can't he buy it himself?).

In any case, if I do decide to purchase it, or manage to convince my brother to actually purchase the game himself, the Wii U version is likely the version we'd get. The Battletoads inclusion in the Xbox One version sounds tempting, but if Tingle were included in the Wii U version, it'd be a definite Wii U version for me.

As for Shovel Knight in SSB, I'd rather not see that happen. I'm not a huge fan of having 3rd party guest characters as it is, let alone one's who've only one game to their name, and would rather see the focus on Nintendo characters. Still, I've seen worse suggestions (much worse), at least Shovel Knight has had a game on Nintendo systems.

Re: Legend of Kay Anniversary Set for Budget Retail Release on Wii U This Summer

Souldin

I was planning on picking up Legend of Kay Anniversary for Wii U anyway, but hearing that it will have a cheaper price pleases me, though the UK price has yet to be listed. Given it's timing, I may not get around to playing it for a while as I may still be busy with Splatoon... or Hastune Miku: Project Mirai DX... or Fossil Fighters Frontier... or the many games I've got as of late but still haven't played yet.

My backlog is starting to become rather overwhelming. In any case, I look forward to playing this game.

Re: Ubisoft Announcement Suggests More Child Of Light 'Universe' Games Are On the Way

Souldin

Child of Light was my favourite game of 2014. Child of Light is also currently my favourite game of all for this current generation of video game systems (3DS, Vita, Wii U, Xbox One, and PS4). It's also one of my top 20 favourite video games of all time.

I would absolutely love to see more Child of Light games, or even a spiritual successor. I had an absolute ton of fun with it, and would expect to have just as much fun with further entries. I do hope it'd come to the Wii U if more Child of Light games were to release. I had such a great time with it, that I would settle for getting it on my Xbox One if need be, but I felt the controls on the Wii U were perfect for Child of Light and it'd certainly be my preferred choice of system to play them on.

Re: Fossil Fighters Frontier Roaring Into Europe on 29th May

Souldin

@tacgnol06 I don't really care for Xenoblade Chronicles, and have no intention of getting either of the two games of the series coming out, though I naturally have no clue how others who have commented here feel about the series.

Fossil Fighters Frontier looks like an enjoyable game, and as someone whose never played any entry in the series (I think this might actually be the first entry to be released in the EU), I want to try it out. It looks nice, the fossil excavating and fighting looks decent, and the game seems to have a charming theme to it that has garnered my interest.

Re: Fossil Fighters Frontier Roaring Into Europe on 29th May

Souldin

Everything on May 29th! EVERYTHING!

This makes Splatoon, Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX, Fossil Fighters Frontier, and possibly even Legend of Kay Anniversary, all coming out on the same day. I shall be doing the most extreme multi-taking gaming I've ever done in my life.

Q) Will you be grabbing this for your 3DS in May?

A) Certainly. Fossil Fighters Frontier is a game I've been awaiting for a release date for a long while, as it's a Nintendo IP that garnered my interest and I've been eager to try out. It is also one of only two 3DS games coming out that I'm interested in this year, not counting Rodea The Sky Soldier as I'll be getting that for Wii U, though hopefully more 3DS games to garner my interest will be announced.

@EllenJMiller Agreed. It seems rather silly to release all these games at once, as anyone whose interested in multiple of these titles releasing has to suddenly have a lot of money ready to spend all at once.

As someone whose interest in upcoming 3DS games only lie with Hastune Miku Project Mirai DX and Fossil Fighters Frontier, May 29th makes my entire 3DS collecting for this year complete (not counting possible E3 surprises).

Re: Review: Fossil Fighters: Frontier (3DS)

Souldin

A very nice review of the game. I had a feeling it'd be a somewhat simpler RPG, it gave that impression, but it's interesting to hear that there is a difficulty spike in the game. Also, very glad to hear that the cheesy cartoon styled theme was not exclusive to the theme song, I have a feeling I'll love playing the game for just that.

You know, if I ever get to play the game at any point. The game still has yet to have an EU release, nor be covered in any of the EU Nintendo Directs. Given that Fossil Fighters Frontier, alongside the thankfully EU confirmed Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX, is one of only two 3DS retail games that I'm wanting to get currently, I'm kind of hoping it'll get an EU release date announced sooner rather than later.

Re: Poll: Which Characters Do You Want to Win the Smash Bros. Fighter Ballot?

Souldin

@IceClimbers I thought the exact same. Given his move-set is already made (and given the lack of changes Mewtwo and Lucas have), he'd be fairly easy to add, and the fact that the poll doesn't end in October does make me think we'll get one other character not affected by the poll. That coupled with Star Fox coming out at the end of the year, does make me think we'll be getting Wolf as a pre-poll decision choice.

Re: Poll: Which Characters Do You Want to Win the Smash Bros. Fighter Ballot?

Souldin

In regards to the poll, I'd have much rather preferred an option noted as 'other' rather than one noted as 'I don't want any of these in Smash Bros'. For whilst none of the ones listed are the characters I most want to see in Smash Bros, they are still characters I would like to see in SSB.

I'd love for Ice Climbers and Wolf to return, I feel Inkling, Isaac, and Waddle Dee would be great additions, and as far as 3rd parties go, I feel Shantae would be a brilliant choice. Alas, when it comes to who I most want in Super Smash Bros, and whom I voted for in the ballot, that goes to none other than Lip from Panel de Pon.

Sure, here chances are great. She's a fairly obscure, Japan-only Nintendo character whose only international appearance was as a sticker in Brawl. That said, I do find her to be a great character who could truly present the puzzle genre with her move-set, and did begin the Puzzle League series which has now had several entries. Her signature item, Lip's Stick, has also been a regular item in SSB since Melee. So yeah, my vote ultimately went with Lip, and although it's not too likely, I'm hoping beyond all hope she'll manage to get in.

Re: Rodea the Sky Soldier Glides to European Consoles on 25th September

Souldin

Q) What do you think?

A) Well I'm glad to finally receive a release date, maybe now my GAME store will actually have the game available to pre-order. I would love to get my hands on the first print Wii version, it'd be pretty awesome.

The release date is also good news for me as it is the first retail game I've been wanting that is separated from my other wanted games by several months. This will give me chance to get somewhere in my rapidly building up backlog (and that's only counting the games I've purchased this year).

Q) Have you been following this title through its ups and downs over the last few years?

A) Sort of. When it was first announced, I'd usually read up on it's articles on Siliconera, but more as a casual browse. The game intrigued me, but I wasn't certain on wanting to purchase it. Now, I'm very eager to obtain this game, and I look forward to playing it this September.

Re: Splatoon Release Date, Modes and amiibo Information Splat Into View

Souldin

It's a shame we in the EU don't also get the triple pack, but the single Inkling squid is incentive enough for me to aim for that special addition of Splatoon. I'm so glad I pre-ordered this game already.

So then, the release date of May 29th is very pleasing, it saves me another trip to GAME to retrieve Hastune Miku: Project Mirai DX. It's nice to finally learn of the local multiplayer mode, and it's neat how it in a way prepares you for the ranked matches. As for the Amiibo, I love Amiibo's, and I have a feeling I'll be wanting to have all the Splatoon ones given all the equipment you can earn through them looks awesome.

I'm ecstatic for Splatoon, and eagerly await it's release.

Re: Yoshi's Woolly World Knits Up Some Release Details And An Adorable Range Of amiibo

Souldin

Oh... we in the EU get this game before those in the US... given all the games we've had arrive later (I'm still waiting for Fossil Fighters Frontier to even have a release date), this pleases me. Then again, everything concerning Yoshi's Wooly World pleased me.

The game looks awesome, it comes out soon, and the Yarn Yoshi amiibo is absolutely brilliant. This will make a great present for my younger brother, provided I can get away with buying the game without him noticing. All in all, I look forward to Yoshi's Wooly World and it's unique amiibo.

Re: Nintendo Announces Next amiibo Waves And Asks Players To Vote For New Characters In The Super Smash Bros. Fighter Ballot

Souldin

I was split between several characters to vote for. I considered both Ice Climbers and Ridley, the former's removal being a crushing disappointment to me, and the latter being a character I feel just deserves to be playing.

Then I considered how the Ice Climbers were unable to be added due to the 3DS, and Sakurai doesn't seem willing to include Ridley, so I feel any vote I give to them would be unfortunately wasted.

As such, I've gone with voting for Lip, my most wanted character for SSB of all. I know she's highly unlikely to come out on top, but if she receives enough votes and is given compelling reasons for her inclusion, there is a chance.

Re: New StreetPass Mii Plaza Games Incoming, Along With Premium Mii-Related Content

Souldin

Apparently Nintendo didn't like me escaping for the Street Plaza. I managed to stop spending most of my time street passing and spending up to an hour playing each of Streetpass games, then this happens.

Oh... why does this new content look so good. Streetpass Fishing looks so relaxing, whilst Streetpass Zombies simply looks awesome! Curse you Nintendo, you're stealing all my spare time from me.

Re: Shin Megami Tensei and Fire Emblem Wii U Crossover is Finally Shown

Souldin

As someone who has never played a Shin Megami Tensei game and has failed to get into the Fire Emblem series (they seem such lovely games, but I'm terrible at grid based RPGs), I have no idea what half the stuff that appeared in this trailer was about.

That said, it does intrigue me, and the combat system looks like a more traditional turn based combat system than that of Fire Emblem. I may see about getting this, depending on further news of course.

Re: Wii U Horror Title Fatal Frame Confirmed For Western Release Later This Year

Souldin

You know, I pretty much expected this. When it didn't come out of Japan last year, I simply figured that localising might be taking a while, and that it will simply release the next year.

While I don't know the exact reasons, I'm glad my assumptions were correct and that Fatal Frame V will be releasing worldwide. I've been enjoying many Temco Koei games as of late and thus am eager to try this game out.

Re: Nintendo Direct Confirmed for 1st April, With Updates on Wii U and 3DS

Souldin

Looking forward to it, though watching this at 11PM, and proceeding to record, edit, and render my thoughts on the Nintendo Direct for a video the following day is likely to knacker me.

In any case, my expectations are for the direct to focus mostly on Spring and early Summer releases, possibly dipping into late Summer/August time. Of course, like with most directs, I expect there to be a surprise revealed for later on in the year.

I'm personally hoping for a definitive release date for Splatoon and Yoshi's Wooly World (a June or July release date would be perfect timing). I'd also like to hear about Project Guard, although I believe it was Project Giant Robot that was listed as a first half release, and it would be nice to see Legend of Kay Anniversary getting some coverage given it's expected to release in either May or June.

All in all, I look forward to this Direct.

Re: Fresh Legend of Kay Anniversary Screenshots Stalk Into View

Souldin

So wait, this game could potentially come out on 29th May? Splatoon is also rumoured to come out on the 29th May. Meanwhile Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX is definitely coming out the 29th May.

So that makes three games that I want and plan to purchase, all potentially coming out on the same day! Well, certainly will save me two extra trips to the store.

Anyway, whilst my anticipation for the likes of Splatoon and Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX is far higher, I do have an interest and intent to purchase for Legend of Kay Anniversary. I'm glad to hear more information on this game, and look forward to it's release. If it comes out on the 29th May though, it may be a while before I get around to actually playing.

Re: Monster Tale on Its Way to the 3DS eShop in a New 'Ultimate' Version

Souldin

Please, please oh please, let this game come out worldwide this time. Back when this game was announced, I was incredibly eager to play this game. That was to be expected, it was the first game by the newly formed DreamRift, a studio formed by the creators of the marvellous Henry Hatsworth in the Puzzling Adventure. It also looked awesome in of itself, the concept and gameplay were unique and appealing.

The game never came. At least, Monster Tale never became available to me, it was a US only DS game that never made it to the EU. It became yet another game I'd bring up when hearing US gamers complain about games not arriving to their region, those in the US usually are a lot luckier than those in the EU.

So I'm absolutely ecstatic about the news of this game. I really do hope it gets an EU release, as this is one game I'm eager to snap up immediately and play. I look forward to playing Monster Tale Ultimate!

Re: The Legend of Zelda for Wii U No Longer Set for 2015 Release

Souldin

Given what I had heard about The Legend of Zelda Wii U so far, it didn't seem like the type of Zelda game I would enjoy, so this news barely effects me. That said, it does make me wonder what the big holiday release for this year will be.

It could very well just be Star Fox (which I'm hoping won't suffer the same fate as the utilisation of the Gamepad does make me interested in this title) and Xenoblade Chronicles X for US and EU, at least from Nintendo (I believe Rodea The Sky Soldier has a fall release date, could end up a late fall release).

Then again, there was the case of E3 2013 wherein they announced Super Mario 3D World for the first time and released it that very same year for the holiday period. If that were to be the case once more, what do any of you think would be a likely or decent game candidate for a dual E3 2015 announcement and 2015 holiday release.

Re: Video: New Rodea The Sky Soldier Trailer Features Plenty of 3DS Footage

Souldin

I was wondering when you'd post about this trailer, was starting to worry no post was going to be made about it. In any case, Rodea The Sky Soldier continues to look awesome.

Q: Are you interested in picking up Rodea The Sky Soldier later this year; if so, will you opt for the Wii U or 3DS version?

A: I' am interested in picking up Rodea The Sky Soldier. In fact, I tried to pre-order it at my nearest GAME store, yet they so far seem to have not even heard of the game. Annoying that.

As for my version of choice, I'm going for the Wii U version. I prefer playing on consoles, rather than handhelds. That said, I'm even more interested in trying to nab the Wii version if possible.

@EllenJMiller I remember Project H.A.M.M.E.R. It's a shame it never came to be, it looked like a fun game, and I remember my younger brother being interested in it.

Re: Talking Point: That Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door 3DS Rumour Looks Fake, But Do You Want it to be True?

Souldin

I honesty can't tell if it is real or fake, it's a lot harder nowadays to be sure on these sorts of things.

That said, I would love if it were true. Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door is my 6th most beloved video game of all time. I absolutely loved this game, and I actually feel it would work very well on the 3DS, with good uses for the 3D affect and touch screen.

In an odd turn of events, I'd actually prefer if this were to be real rather than getting it on the Wii U, I just feel the 3D affect would look better than having it in HD.

Re: Nintendo Download: 26th March (Europe)

Souldin

Aw... I can't click two options at once. For I shall be downloading both Trine Enchanted Edition and Adventure Bar Story... at the same time!

Trine 2: Director's Cut was a brilliant game, to which I look forward to playing the original. That said, I need to gather my brothers to finish Trine 2 together first.

Meanwhile, Adventure Bar Story looks like a fun turn based RPG. It also happens to be published by Circle, who have a tendency to bring forth games I enjoy a ton. So I look forward to downloading that as well.

I am also on the fence regarding Mario Party 10. I think for now I'll pass on it, as my on-and-off job is currently off, so spending too much money isn't the wisest of decisions for now. Besides, there are plenty of games I'm looking forward to more-so coming May and onwards.

Still, Mario Party 10 has looked pretty tempting, the Bowser mode looks like an absolute ton of fun.
