Re: Konami And M2 Announce New Goemon Switch Collection, Here Are The 13 Retro Titles Included

Serpenterror

@TrueBlueYoshi Reason is because 90% of these games were never released outside Japan. Of all these 13 games only two were released outside Japan so far, the Game Boy title Ganbare Goemon: Kurofune Tō no Nazo released as Mystical Ninja starring Goemon for Game Boy and the Super Famicom title Ganbare Goemon: Yukihime Kyuushutsu Emaki released as Legend of the Mystical Ninja for Super NES worldwide. A majority of these Goemon games does already had fan translations in English; however, Konami can't use any of those English fan translations for their collection so I'm afraid this collection would probably remain a Japan exclusive.

Re: Hamster's 'Console Archives' Is The Closest We'll Get To Virtual Console In 2026

Serpenterror

Good, so does console archive means we will finally see some console ports of arcade games coming to Switch 2? That must mean games like Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 (Sega Genesis), Mortal Kombat Gold (Dreamcast), Soul Blade (PS1), Soul Calibur (Dreamcast), Tekken 3 (PS1), Rival Schools (PS1), Star Gladiator (PS1), Power Stone 2 (Dreamcast), Street Fighter Alpha 2 Gold (PS1/PS2), and Street Fighter EX Plus Alpha (PS1) may still had a chance as most of these were better on console anyways with more contents and easier to emulate than their arcade MAME/FBNeo counterparts.

Re: Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Sales Have Got Off To A Slow Start

Serpenterror

The issue with releasing this game now is that not many people knew of Metroid enough to want to buy this game. Nintendo should had kept this game in development and polish it some more while giving us Metroid Prime 2 and Metroid Prime 3 Remastered first before releasing this fourth entry. Releasing this now makes people question (especially the new generations of players) why we got this first before Prime 2 & Prime 3 Remastered.

Re: Pokémon 30th Anniversary Nintendo Store Event Announced (US)

Serpenterror

A Pokémon Anniversary Collection for Switch that includes the original and their remakes (Pokémon Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Gold, Silver, and Crystal from Game Boy and GBC to Pokémon Fire Red, Leaf Green, Heart Gold, and Soul Silver from GBA and DS) on there would be awesome. The two regions (Kanto and Johto) and their 252 creatures that started it all should be celebrated.

Re: Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Fails To Meets Sega's Expectations

Serpenterror

My guess as to why this game didn't sold that well enough may be due to two reasons:

1. Sega did not make this as a Sonic with Sega guest characters racing game, instead they make it as a Sonic with random guest characters racing game. Most fans simply choose not to buy it cause of the randomness of the other unnecessary IPs especially those no name IPs like SpongeBob and Minecraft that had no association or history with Sega. A comparison to this is Super Smash Bros. When Nintendo included guest characters in their games, it's usually because they had a history or connection with that guest character such as Sonic, Simon Belmont, Cloud Strife, Mega Man, and Bayonetta. Here in Sonic CrossWorlds, it looks like Sega just randomly plock whatever license they could get their hands on which add no importance to the game. Pac-Man and Joker makes sense but characters like SpongeBob and Minecraft makes no sense at all.

2. Delaying the release of the Switch 2 version, by not releasing the Switch 2 edition on the same date as the Switch 1 edition, most Switch 2 players would just buy the Switch 1 or other versions instead thus Sega lose sales when the Switch 2 version did release. By that time there's no point in buying it as the hype is already over.

Re: "The Delays Have Been Unacceptable" - The Wait Continues For Rock It Games' Croc Physical

Serpenterror

Say what you will about Limited Run Games but at the very least they delivered what they say they'll do even if the end product is a bit disappointing at times. My physical edition of Star Ocean: First Departure R from Limited Run Games which I pre-ordered five months ago had already arrived but my physical edition of Chained Echoes which I pre-ordered from those scumbags at First Press Games four years ago still to this day had not arrive at all and there are no updates. To get updates you had to jump through various hoops to find it and it's likely a TBA update at most.

Then we got VGP of Canada. Now I do still like these guys, these are the same guys that got physical release of Lunar 1 & 2 in stocks when Amazon sucks so they did shipped those at reasonable price but with the recent handling of Rage of the Dragons NEO physical release which kept getting the silent treatment and delays, I'm starting to think they are turning to scumbags mode as well. Hopefully they got this through soon as I just recently sent them an email requesting an update of the game. At this point when it comes to limited releases, only three I could trust now: Play-Asia, Limited Run Games, and Pix'n Love games. My only disappointment with Play-Asia is that they don't accept Klarna or any other quad pay options other then PayPal and PayPal as of now are scumbags themselves and they shutdown my PayPal account after I made over $35,000 on eBay from clearing and selling away all my basement craps.

Re: Sonic The Hedgehog Kicks Off 35th Anniversary Celebrations In Style

Serpenterror

I'm okay if Sonic doesn't had any new big games for the 35th Anniversary, a remastered of Sonic Adventure 1 or 2 or a Sonic Advance or Rush collection would be enough. I feel it's better to save his big comeback (ala a new major Sonic game, Sonic Mania 2, Sonic Adventure 3, Sonic Advance 4, Sonic the Hedgehog 5, etc.) for the 40th Anniversary.

Re: An Overlooked Disney Collection From Digital Eclipse Has Been Rated For Switch

Serpenterror

The fact that it took them the entire Wii U and Switch lifespan to re-release a bunch of old NES roms for Nintendo is just odd. The very fact that these are not NSO release is also odd cause since it's not NSO that means no online play on any of the games that had multiplayer mode. Also why not include Beauty and the Beast and The Little Mermaid in the collection too? Yes those are girlie games but they are still part of Disney's legacy, the fact that this collection is from Digital Eclipse means something bad is always bound to happen just like the Lion King, Aladdin, Jungle Book collection where we are still missing GBC, Game Gear, and Sega Master System versions of Aladdin and the Lion King. These fools don't know how to make a good collection.

Re: Nintendo's Investors Are Reportedly "Spooked" As Stock Slides

Serpenterror

1. Charging more for underpower hardware ($450 for a console that couldn't even do 4K 60fps is just wrong, something a $400 Steam Deck could do out of the box both in dock and portable mode) = Check

2. Charging more ($70-$80 for spinoffs like Mario Kart World and Kirby AirRiders are just lame, those prices should be for triple a mainline titles, not spinoffs) for overrated launch titles = Check

3. Forcing proprietary unproven (not trustworthy) storage to customer instead of continue using industry proven (more trustworthy) standard storage (accept only lesser known microSD Express card while moving away from more well known regular microSD and microSD Extreme card) = Check

4. Selling fake physical games (game key cards) for full price = Check

5. Thinking the customers are dumb enough to buy despite the brand (Nintendo), brand loyalty will fall if you keep on crapping = Check

6. Making crappy boring title that nobody ask for (Drag x Drive) = Check

7. Charging for game (Switch 2 Welcome Tour) that should had been free or bundle with the system = Check

8. Charging more for lazy upgraded ports (Switch 2 Edition of Switch 1 game with little or zero contents) that could run much better on Switch 2 just by playing the actual Switch 1 version on Switch 2 instead = Check

9. Only released one exclusive title (Donkey Kong Bananza, a Switch 1 game that got turn into a Switch 2 title at the last minute) and it's not even at launch = Check

10. Bricking customer's newly bought launch console just cause they could thus losing trust in the process = Check

11. Having jack nothing for the holiday except Switch 1 ports and old titles that were released on other platforms for years now = Check

12. Didn't do enough to make games affordable during the holiday especially Black Friday yet the expectation is high = Check

13. Purposely cutting out contents and selling it behind a paywall item (Boring desert music of Metroid Prime 4 only exist if you own one of the MP4 Amiibo otherwise the desert field is more super boring and doesn't had music in the actual game) = Check

14. Acting surprise when nobody could afford the trash (Switch 2) = Check

The fact that all these fails exist in 2025 alone is very SAD indeed especially for a so called innovative company like Nintendo. Imagine what garbage 2026 will bring if these continues.

Re: Nintendo Expands Switch 2's GameCube Library With Another Game

Serpenterror

@Joeynator3000 Fire Emblem games play like actual war, once you lose someone you lose them for good and any story, character development, relationship, future redemption, or what if scenarios that would had happen to them died along with them. This is why completionist who play these games usually replay them several times to get all characters, scenarios, and endings.

Re: Switch 2 Sales Reportedly Struggled Over The Christmas Period

Serpenterror

Charging too much for an underpower system with the promised of delivering more fake games ain't something people are excited for. Make real games, offer real quality, take real risk, and offer real innovations. Those are the things that makes Nintendo in the past the juggernaut they are, not this whiny lackluster boring shell of its former self. You only had one job to do with the Switch 2 Nintendo and you already blew it. All you need to do is make the Switch again but more powerful that's all you need to do with the Switch 2 but no we got to do fake games, we gotta focus on mobile releases, we gotta charge more for underpower hardware, we gotta make backwards compatibility super hard, we gotta stop supporting microSD card (the industry standard), we gotta create fomo practice, we gotta scam our customer, we gotta go digital. WTF is your problem?

Re: GameSir And Hyperkin Reveal A Modular Pad With GameCube And N64 Layouts

Serpenterror

Looks okay but the Genesis/Saturn and N64 button layout looks way too slanted, they are suppose to be layout like an arc going upwards, not a straight line. No Super NES and PlayStation (the two most successful consoles of all time) button layouts mean I will never buy these. They are focusing way too much on failed console's layouts (N64, GameCube, Genesis, Saturn, Xbox?) that it's not worth buying.

Re: Nintendo Switch's Hulu App Will Be Discontinued Next Month

@Shade_Koopa Or smart tv. At this point dedicated consoles are just to going to die out just like dedicated arcades, dedicated handhelds, dedicated phones, dedicated PCs, dedicated media boxes, dedicated plug and plays, and dedicated TVs. Dedicated stuffs that use to do just one thing are going extinct now. Nowadays everything are hybrids (stuff that does more than one things) and that's why everything is expensive (cause you buy those stuffs that came with more stuffs you never ask for). Switch is hybrid, Steam Deck is hybrid, PCs are hybrid (you can build one that had the best and worst of three worlds: Mac, Windows, and Linux when originally you could only have one), smart TVs are hybrids, cars are hybrids, smartphones are hybrid, tablets are hybrid, arcade 1Ups are hybrid, laptops are hybrid, PS2-PS3 & PS5 are hybrids, and Xbox's entire existence is hybrid.

Re: Capcom Arcade Stadium Physical Features Five Cover Options, But Which Is Your Favourite?

Serpenterror

@wizzgamer The Argos physical release of both only gives you a code in the box so you still have to download all the 64 games. The purpose of buying a physical edition is so you don't have to download anything. This Limited Run Games edition will include all 32 games on the cartridge. Likely they'll announce a physical version for the second one later this year so that all 64 games will be on cartridges.
