@Burning_Spear If those are all on the cartridge it would not need to update. No internet required means everything including the latest updates and all games are all on the cartridge already. You don't need extra space for the game to run, the only extra space you will need is for game saves only. Like I said this is too good to be true and usually things that are too good to be true are usually scam. These companies are starting to scam their own customers.
This looks like a prototype demo that could had just been bundle with the system. Odd that Nintendo would sell this, imagine if Super Smash Bros. was still Dragon King: The Fighting Game and you still play with generic no name characters, no one would want to buy it just like no one will buy this.
If this is true then I'll get the complete one and sell away the garbage one. Still I don't trust Amazon that much and this could very well just be an edited stock picture and nothing else. Until someone online actually reported and had proof that there's a version with all the games complete on the cartridge, then I would be interested but for now this is just hearsay.
So basically it's Bloodsports in Punch-Out! style. Does this game had any special moves? For me to be interested, it needs to do something special while moving.
I might get this just for Bubsy 2 and 3D. I know they both sucks but that's a reason to get it. Earthworm Jim also need a collection like this too since he had a similar downfall. It should be like this:
Earthworm Jim (Super NES, Sega Genesis, Sega CD, Game Boy, Game Gear, Sega Master System, GBA, Nintendo DS, Xbox 360/PS3)
Earthworm Jim 2 (Super NES, Sega Genesis, Game Boy, Game Gear, Sega Saturn, PS1, GBA, Xbox 360)
Boogerman (Super NES, Sega Genesis)
Earthworm Jim 3D (Nintendo 64)
Clay Fighter 63 1/3 (which had both Earthworm Jim and his rival Boogerman as guest fighters)
Nice to finally get these for Switch, I remember renting the N64 version of Hexen back then and enjoy it thoroughly though I never really got that far into the game.
@Pally356 Mike is basically just Balrog, Geki probably would just been a male Ibuki, Lee would had just been an older Yun or Yang as he is their uncle (an adopted uncle though), not sure why they did not include him for Alpha 3 Upper as it would make more sense for Lee to be in the Alpha series than his not yet grown-up nephew. Joe would had been too similar to Cody. The only unique fighter of all of them is Retsu who already had a unique character sprite made for Capcom Fighting Evolution but was never utilize. If there was a Street Fighter Alpha 4, my guess is Retsu would had a better chance of returning for that.
Dear Sega and whoever is planning to make any light gun style game in the future. Give us a working TV light gun so we could play your freaking game the way it was meant to be play. Thank you. See Linus video below for idea cause it looks like y'all don't have any anymore.
If they are gonna claim to made this in the Sega Saturn style then why not go all out? Why only go half way? The d-pad is Sega style but they still had the Nintendo diamond layout for the buttons. Why not just incorporate the 6 face buttons in there as well?
Definitely getting this for Switch 1 and Steam Deck for sure. As for the Switch 2 version, meh maybe some other time, other place, other moment where it feels right to have it as a collector's item.
They still don't get that everyone hated game key cards. C'mon Nintendo you can't be this dumb. End these things so we could go back to playing real games again like how things were before the Switch 2 era.
@The_Nintend_Pedant They give these contents and characters to you for free via DLC if you already got the collection. They could had easily charge you $20 for all four fighters and those music, modes, and artworks but they choose not to. Now you can use that $20 you just save to buy Yuzo Koshiro latest game which is also $20 on Steam that came with a free rom that you could use for play on a real Sega Genesis.
Nice, the more fighters the better. First we got Dragon Ball Sparking Zero for Switch, then after that we got Mortal Kombat Trilogy reveal for the Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection, after that we got the upcoming DLC fighters for Guilty Gear Strive, and now Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max characters for the Capcom Fighting Collection 2. Can't wait to try them all. Also nice that we are getting Virtua Fighter 5 REVO for Switch 2 as well though knowing Sega they may turn that into a fake game.
@IronMan30 They take the cheap way out, not only that but Square Enix and Sega had been losing money as of late cause they are either making too many bad decisions or they are too careful with their IP offerings. Square Enix is still trying to get out of a financial slob after the failure of Final Fantasy XVI, Forspoken, Valkyrie Elysium, Star Ocean: Divine Force, Visions of Mana, Balan Wonderworld, Foamstars, embracing mobile games and NFTs, from making too many failed live service games like Babylon's Fall, Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy, and The Avengers. Right now Square Enix only had three successful IPs and none of them are Final Fantasy: SaGa, Dragon Quest, and Octopath Traveler.
Sega on the otherhand did a lot better but my guess as to why they don't embracing physical on their own was cause they fear most of their obscure IP may not sell will on Switch or Switch 2. So games like Yakuza, Persona, Panzer Dragoon, House of the Dead, and Streets of Rage are handle by third party or through third party physical publishers whereas more popular IPs like Sonic, Super Monkey Ball and Puyo Puyo are handle by them cause they look at those as more successful on Nintendo platforms. Also since Bayonetta is still cover by Nintendo, Sega doesn't had to do much in terms of physical on that franchise as Nintendo covers most of the development cost.
Way better than that awful Street Fighter 6 game that was both a game key card and a code in a box. Thank you Digital Eclipse for keeping physical games truly physical on the cartridge.
Considering how dead the game was on other platforms, it's about freaking time they finally bring it to Switch. Since I won't be playing this game online anyways I'm just glad it made a splash for Switch instead of getting stuck with those game key card nonsense.
I already got this game on Switch so that's enough for me. This like a lot of the past Persona games aren't worth my time to return to once I completed them. I only return to the main Shin Megami Tensei games, I don't ever want to return to the Persona games.
Sega needs to bundle part 0 & 1 with this one cause ain't no way I'm buying this if it's on game key card. You want me to buy the game Sega you do the right thing, put these games on the cartridge. Can't do it then have your pals at Limited Run Games do it for you.
What's wrong with calling it Octopath Traveler III? Calling this Octopath Traveler 0 just made it sound like a prequel which Champion of the Continent mobile game already was.
A partner showcase for Nintendo consoles are going to be even less exciting going forward now cause a majority of titles are either going to be digital download only or Game Key Card release only. I don't see a future where third party titles for Nintendo consoles would get that exciting factors anymore and it's all Nintendo's own fault. Anyways this will be the first time I won't be watching this kind of direct anymore.
Atari is what big publisher should be doing when acquiring studios, not the same mass studio acquistion that Microsoft and Embracer are doing. They don't just throw money at studios to get rights to game nonstop and then fired people if the game failed to sell or if they game is successful. Microsoft and Embracer should had never gotten into the gaming business since both don't know how to run game offerings or embrace the studios they bought. Doingwhat Atari is doing by slowly building their company back to square one and acquiring studios that will benefit them is a great start to them becoming relevant again.
@PhilW Just use the Super NES controller, the buttons are the same just in different location. Sega is known for making awful controllers. In hindsight just get those 2.4Ghz wireless Genesis or Saturn 8-12 buttons controller from Retro-Bit or 8BitDo instead.
A game that look worst than Ninja Five-0 but can't even maintain 30fps when Ninja Five-0 could? This must be the epitome of lazy. Ninja Five-0 isn't even a Switch game. Heck even Shredder's Revenge ran better, what happen DOTEMU? Did greed and lazy took over for y'all.
If that's true then now is the time they should start revealing the four hidden games that they hinted during the Sony State of Play trailer. My guess is that it's just these four games (MK Gold, Mythologies Sub-Zero, Special Forces, and Shaolin Monks) but some confirmation during their short rampage world tour would be nice. They already did Comic-con so next is EVO, then Gamescom, and ending at PAX West.
Meh it plays just like any other 3D platformers so not a huge loss. It not being release on Switch just means it won't be purchase by the millions of Switch and Switch 2 owners out there.
Not surprising as this game (and Monster Hunter Wilds) was terrible even on PS5 and PC. I'm surprised EA even bother to bring this to Switch 2 as what's worst on other platforms is now even more broken on Switch 2.
Like the previous entry I'll just get it on Steam and Switch 1. No way am I touching any third party stuffs on Switch 2 unless they follow the same path as Sonic CrossWorlds, Marvelous, and CD Projekt Red.
Since Xbox is not making hardware anymore it would make sense to skipped that entirely. After all even if the ROG Xbox Ally is out, people would still be able to get the game anyways since it's basically a waterdown Windows PC.
When Wario Land is the only good game they had for it, it's no wonder the Virtual Boy failed. Also odd that this is the first Nintendo system to not had a mainline Super Mario and Legend of Zelda game on it. Usually with Nintendo's console, having games from those two series is a must but with Virtual Boy it seem like it's the only exception. The second Nintendo system to not have a mainline Super Mario and Zelda game is the Pokémon Mini handheld.
