@FX29 Either that or these games were plan for Switch from the beginning so it's too late to revamp them for Switch 2 now unless they had proper upgrades versions plan soon. Not only that but the Switch install based is still quite large atm compare to Switch 2.
It's Resident Evil's 30th Anniversary and you announce nothing for it Capcom? All you gotta do is announce a Resident Evil Legacy Collection that includes RE0, RE1, RE2, RE3 Nemesis, RE Code Veronica X and RE4 for Switch, Switch 2, PS4, PS5, Xbox, and PC and that's all. That's enough for an anniversay but instead you announced a collab with a theme park, an arcade light gun game that hardly anyone would get to play, a musical that no one had the money to attend, and a bundle that's digital only and will be gone by the time people actually had money??? How is this a celebration Capcom? If anything it looks like the mass Resident Evil fans are missing out more than they are celebrating. Also why do this early in the year, why not choose a more fitting month for RE's anniversary celebration like say October 2026 perhaps?
@Tarpii It's not Nintendo's say on how to re-release these games. At the end of day Nintendo is just the publisher, not the developer. It's likely this is how the Pokémon Company wanted these games to be release in. They are not doing what the modding community is doing cause they are selling a product, not polishing said product to the point of the game losing its purpose. Remember it's purpose is to sell you two old games that are remakes of two older games that you probably won't buy anyways. It was release for attention purpose and to persuade new players to get into the newer Pokémon games but trying these older ones.
Since it's only one character and is a real time action game this could be a Dark Souls sequel maybe a Dark Souls IV. It's likely not going to be a Tales game since Tales game had multiple people in it.
My guess is that they are saving the unrelease F-Zero VR game (Zero Racer) for last since there's only 16 games on VB. They could had easily make a Virtual Boy Mini with those same 16 games and choose not to. Sadly we won't get the impressive Street Fighter II Hyper Fighting Virtual Boy port on here since that one is fan made and not by Capcom.
Although these are lazy ports, at the very least they did make some changes to a few things that make sense once the online stuff comes along. Also it's the closest thing to a GBA VC we got at the moment for Switch right behind Shantae Advance: Risky's Revolution, Double Dragon Advance, Ninja Five-0, Mortal Kombat Advance, Gekido: Kintaro's Revenge, and Mega Man Zero, and Battle Network and maybe Rayman Advance (had the music not get ruin).
Arcade racers are good but the thing about those is that they usually don't have many tracks or vehicles like their home console counterparts. I hope we get more Super NES, Sega Genesis, PlayStation, Dreamcast, or Sega Saturn racers for Console Archive soon as I rather play those over their arcade counterparts due to more contents.
This game feels like it was made with care and respect to the source material. Gameplay reminds me of the two Capcom Dungeons and Dragons beat em up games with a taste of Golden Axe summoning sprinkle in.
Not the Disgaea I want, still where's Disgaea 2 & 3 Complete at? Those are the only two missing in the franchise now. We got Disagea 1, 4-7 but missing 2 & 3, that's very incomplete man. You only got two games left NIS, finish them now then you can focus on Disgaea 8 after those.
Since Sony doesn't have a handheld anymore, they may as well put the game and its entire franchise on Switch 1 & 2. Easy money for them if they ever do it. I know I woud never buy a Gran Turismo game on a PlayStation console but would buy it day one on a Nintendo handheld or Steam Deck.
As long as it's not made by Forever Entertainment then I'm good. That dev had ruin The House of the Dead 1 & 2 and Panzer Dragoon 1 & 2. Don't want them to also ruin Ecco 1 & 2.
@Yoshi3 The Spider-Man/Venom: Separation Anxiety title is based on the original comic book series/storyline, it's not a random title that Acclaim/Ljn made up just for the game.
@Andee9001 When I mention the Punisher I mostly refer to the ones that were not the beat em up such as the NES and Game Boy versions which are more shooter based. Yes like Aladdin, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Batman Returns, Shadowrun, Home Alone, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turles: Tournament Fighters, Punisher is one of those games that had the same name on multiple systems but all are actually different games.
These are games I could play for hours on end and never get tired. Here's hoping the Mickey Mouse's Illusion and Magical Quest games are next on the compilation offering.
Awesome but where's The Amazing Spider-Man, Avengers in Galactic Storm, Spider-Man: Return of the Sinister Six, The Uncanny X-Men, X-Men for Sega Genesis, X-Men 2: Clone Wars, X-Men: Gamemaster's Legacy, Punisher, The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man / X-O Manowar in Heavy Metal, X-Men: Mutant Apocalypse, X-Men: Mojo World, and Marvel Super Heroes in War of the Gems?
Also all new music? Please don't be like Rayman 30th Anniversary, give us option like how Ultra Street Fighter II and Trials of Mana did.
I don't get why whenever company release compilation or games from the GBA library they always used an outdated emulator that can't stable the framerate or don't know how to turn those frame buffer off. All you had to do was go to the emulator setting, go to frame skip and turn the number to 0 or Off instead of Auto (or whatever number is there). Putting that crap on Auto will unstable the framerate. If you can't do your job of offering decent emulation of the game then at least give players the option to set the option themselves.
This is why the Switch 2 is garbage and why this next gen is also garbage. Nintendo is taking the lazy route now. You had to realize they are greedy, lazy, and now they even sell you fake games. You aren't getting value in gaming like you use to. This is why I end my home gaming journey with the Switch 1 and go all PC from now on. The Switch 2 to me at this point is just a Switch Pro for my Switch 1 games, if it weren't for that I wouldn't had bought it. Other than Donkey Kong Bananza, FAST Fusion, Rune Factory, and Cyberpunk 2077, I hadn't even buy any other Switch 2 games at all and why should I when there's more fakes than value. As for this lazy filter smear version of Xenoblade Chronicles X, just don't buy it. Buy the Switch 1 version instead. If they take this lazy way of using filter to upscale old games and make you pay for it, it's likely they'll continue their lazy way and use AI to smear those into their other games too and also make you pay for it. Let's face it people Nintendo are scumbags now. When even the big three are scamming the customers, you know the gaming industry as we know it is done.
@RobbEJay Those are exactly what I meant, though you can buy games on the PS3 and PSP shop, you can't play those same games on PS5 cause the PS5 shop only sold games that work on PS4 and PS5 hardware. The only exception is if they emulate PS3 and PSP games on those shop. They not like the PC where you can play almost everything (except iOS games) without paying for them or if you choose to pay for the games you want to support.
@DollyrotsFan1 The reason they can't do that was cause the Wii U and Switch are different hardware so it would be difficult to keep all the Wii U eShop digital games for Switch. Consoles are unlike PC, for them to keep the Wii U eShop and its games the Switch will have to keep all the same hardware from the Wii U and doing that would add to the cost of the hardware too.
@wolvesboy Nintendo ain't dumb you know, Nintendo knew that NSO had save-states and more than one save files so they choose to release these Pokemon titles as actual digital games so that they could keep the single save file nature of these games. Nintendo had always wanted to limit Pokemon as a single save file title and putting those on NSO means that could easily ruin the trend and could even open to exploit which Nintendo doesn't want to see happen. Nintendo also knew that the older games like Pokemon Red and Blue had exploits and glitches that give players could easily take advantage of within those games hence why they didn't choose to re-release those but choose Fire Red and Leaf Green instead.
If you can't even bring Rayman back in his full glory then I rather you don't. There's no excuse for the Rayman 30th anniversary to be altered that worst.
While I do like that they are offering these for purchase rather than for NSO, choosing code-in-the-box for the physical release even if it's just Japan only is scummy in itself. It's like they are forcing their Japanese audience to prefer digital when it's obviously clear that many would rather prefer a native physical release instead.
I just want a proper Monster Hunter 5, not Wild, World, Rise or whatever word is next taken from the dictionary. Just a proper Monster Hunter sequel please.
I don't get why they would screw up this bad especially when the original music were there to be with. How difficult would it be to just put that back when they could just use the original roms instead?
I like how people automatically think that just cause Stellar Blade will come to Nintendo console that it means it'll get a censored version. Only Sony censored their contents, not Nintendo.
Meh I already completed Ys X which runs good on Switch 2 anyways so no reason to rebuy this especially if it's just game key card. Those three extra DLC aren't worth paying $70 for.
@EarthboundBenjy You sent your issue to the wrong company. While it's true that these are UbiSoft games, the emulators being used for these are from Atari, they probably used the same cheap emulators they did for the Bubsy Collection, TMNT Cowabunga Collection, and Mortal Kombat Legacy Kollection. Any emulation issues with this collection, sent it to them, not UbiSoft. UbiSoft only own the IP, they don't handle the emulations.
This is unlike the Metal Gear Solid: Master Collections and the Capcom Fighting Collections where both Konami and Capcom were the ones actually handling the emulations instead of a third party. Still though yeah this is a very bad response from UbiSoft, even if they don't handle the emulation of these themselves they could had forward your complaint to Atari. Very unprofessional of them not to do so. I guess they fired all their professional associates and only had clowns running the company now.
Let me guess, Ghost Babel and the documentary materials are gonna be on the cartridge while Guns of the Patriot and Peace Walker are download only? Make sense.
@SillyG That's cause it's only the anniversary of the first game so that's all you'll get. It's not too bad though cause those different versions had their own unique charms. Remember these are games from when UbiSoft were still great and not scummy like today.
@N00BiSH Except Rayman Redemption is not on Switch 1 & 2 or PS4 and PS5. Heck some people don't even know what a Rayman Redemption is. Also by buying into this collection you are supporting the actual creators of the series, not a cheap plagiarize version of their work.
Nice, I'm glad it's a collection of the first game and the fact that they also include the prototype Super NES version and the GBC version too even though it's not really a port of the first game but was a totally different game. They should do this for the anniversary of the second game too where it's a collection of Rayman 2 from GBC, PS1, N64, PS2, DS, 3DS, and Sega Dreamcast with again the GBC version being a different game altogether and was not a port.
Dammit Arc System Works, why won't you release any of the older BlazBlue games (Calamity Trigger, Continuum Shift Extend, and Chrono Phantasma Extend) for Switch? I would buy them immediately if they are available.
Oh well there goes the only other version of a WWE game on Switch. After this one got delisted, WWE doesn't exist on Switch anymore. This will never happen with AEW which is still on the eShop to this very day which is why AEW is 40x better than WWE now.
