Re: Japanese Charts: Switch 2 Sales Continue To Slip, But Tomodachi Life Holds The Newbies At Bay

Serpenterror

@KBuckley27 Tbh it's only a $50 hike for Switch 2 and it hasn't even happen yet (well at least here in the USA that is) unlike Steam Deck which had a $240 and $300 hike and PS5 which had over $100-$200 hike. Even with the hike the Switch 2 is still the next gen hardware that is the cheapest. You really had no other option for cheap next gen hardware unless you want to pay more for the other platforms. If you bought Steam Deck, PS5, Xbox, and/or Switch 2 before the hike, then you're basically all set for this gen. This doesn't take into consideration the Steam Machine and Steam Frame which are likely going to be even more expensive.

Re: Japanese Charts: Switch 2 Sales Continue To Slip, But Tomodachi Life Holds The Newbies At Bay

Serpenterror

It make sense as to why FFVII Rebirth didn't sell as much on Switch 2, for one it's just a fake game, 2 a majority of people who wanted to play FFVII Rebirth already bought it last year on PS5 and Steam, 3 there's nothing new added to the Switch 2 version that would warrant a second or third purchases unless you were one of those few who never got a Steam Deck and just want to play the game on the go and 4 the game is on sale for $20 on Steam right now, why bother paying $50 for it on the eShop and PlayStation Store?

Re: Chained Echoes Is Finally Getting Its Physical Release, After Last Attempt Ended In A Lawsuit

Serpenterror

Good for those who hadn't pre-order yet and those who back the Kickstarter but those who originally pre-order through First Press Game are just out of luck thanks to that guy. I like that he sue them and won but he couldn't even help his own customers who were dupe by First Press Games in the first place making him just as scummy as First Press Games. Also Super Rare Games took just as long to shipped their physical games more so than Strictly Limited Games and Limited Run Games. Those who want these physical edition would had to wait several more months even years to receive them.

Re: Vanillaware's Underrated Wii Gem Returns On Switch 1 & 2 Early Next Year

For those who don't know, this new version of Muramasa is based on the remastered PS Vita version called Muramasa Rebirth and includes all the DLCs, extra characters, and new story chapters from that game as well as the 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio. Also know that the PS Vita version added a jump button to the game as well so don't be surprise if you play this game later and found out you can now jump with a button press unlike the Wii original where you had to press Up on the d-pad in able to jump. Reason for that was cause the Wii version was created with the Wii remote in mind and the Wii remote doesn't had enough buttons for attack, switch, jump, parry, block, and item usage so jump had to be assign to up on the d-pad instead.

Re: Reaction: A Direct That Picked Up Pace For A Breathtaking Finish

Serpenterror

It's an amazing direct and I'm glad some of the games I want either had a reveal or a release dates now. These are the highlights for me:

  • Fire Emblem: Fortune Weave's release trailer finally
  • Stellar Blade for Switch 2
  • Tales of Eternia Remaster finally shown
  • Lies of P: Complete Edition for Switch 2
  • Final Fantasy Resonance Trailer
  • Rise of Tomb Raider Trailer
  • Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection 2 reveal at last
  • Onimusha: Way of the Sword and Dragon's Dogma 2 Reveal
  • Metaphor: Re-Fantazio Trailer
  • Muramasa: The Revenant Blade, I love the original on Wii and PS Vita so this will be a day one buy for me too.
  • Xenoblade Genesis Revealed
  • Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time tease

The best thing about this is that there were no Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered, Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remastered, Shenmue 3, Castlevania: Belmont's Curse, and Monster Hunter Wilds shown which were already revealed to be coming to Switch 1 and/or 2 anyways wasting the time slot. Only disappointments are that they still show Star Fox, Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World, and Minecraft, games that either were already shown or could had just be left in the sizzle reel.

Re: Kingdom Hearts 4 Confirmed For Switch 2, New Gameplay Showcased

Serpenterror

I would had been more excited for this game had Square Enix not screw up KH1-3 and its spinoffs on Switch. It looks like those same games will still get screw up on Switch 2 too as game key card garbage releases. I had no excitement for this one, if it's a game key card release then yeah it's not surprising, if it's a native game then it's just okay. I had bad experience with those games and this game is connected to those bad experiences.

Re: The Duskbloods Is Still Looking For A Release Date, Even After A Direct Appearance

Serpenterror

This game probably won't be ready til 2028 which is okay, we got Metaphor: Re-Fantazio, Stellar Blade, Lies of P, Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave, Xenoblade Genesis, Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World, Dragon's Dogma 2, and Tales of Eternia Remaster so this could wait til then. My only disappointment is that we still don't have Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, had we got that too then this would be very fantastic.

Re: Surprise! Final Fantasy X | X-2 HD Remaster Is Heading To Switch 2

Serpenterror

I got my FFX/X-2 already for Switch 1 and Steam so I'm good. I think this is just Square trying to get easy money by milking new Switch 2 gamers with old ports and releasing fake versions of them. For a company who own hundreds of IPs that could easily get them easy money for all of them I don't get why they keep acting like they are a poverty company by embracing the use of fake game key cards and not just offer native real games. You are not a small company and you had tons of IPs of games (Chrono Trigger, Xenogears, Parasite Eve, Blood of Bahamut, Lufia, Terranigma, Secret of Evermore, Brave Fencer Musashi, Grandia, Ogre Battle, etc.) that people are asking for Square Enix, release real native games and stop scamming your customers.

Re: Rumour: A Nintendo Direct Might Come Our Way As Soon As Next Week

Serpenterror

I wonder if Devon would finally introduced herself in the direct. Anyways if such a direct is coming these are likely what would be shown:

  • Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remastered for Switch 1 and/or Switch 2
  • Metroid Prime 2 Echoes Remastered for Switch 1 and/or Switch 2
  • A 3D Super Mario game tease for Switch 2
  • Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Deluxe for Switch 2
  • Gameplay trailer for Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave
  • More lazy Switch 1 remasters for Switch 2 such as Luigi's Mansion 3 and Princess Peach Showtime.
  • A port of GTA V as a shadow drop for Switch 2. It's a stupidly old and pointless game now but Nintendo fans would be jumping for joy about it.

Re: Dynasty Warriors 3 Remaster Gets Switch 2 Release Date, Switch Version Cancelled

Serpenterror

@WeHaveKirbyAtHome The thing about the Steam version is that it's native and could be optimized not to mention not as complicated to access and play. Digital on Switch 2 is the same which is why if I had to choose one then of course it's more easier to just get it on Steam and play it on my Steam Deck. As for why I hate game key card, it's nothing personal, just that there's no reason for me to buy it. For one the actual game is not on the cartridge which is lame, 2 it required me to download the game anyways which is pointless cause the main reason anyone buy a physical game was so they could save space, not use them, and 3 even after you download the game you still can't just play it normally like an actual digital game, you had to always insert the game key card in there just to play it. Now you're wasting space both physically and digitally as well which is lame.

A better example is this, imagine you go shopping at a retail store and you pay your items with cash and then the store kept refusing to accept it cause they want proof that you had a bank account before they could accept your cash. Of course you're not going to give them your bank account info, it's pointless. Cash is already a currency, why would you need proof of bank info when you already had the native cash on hand, just take the freaking money. That's what game key card feels like, a hindrance to make things complicated on purpose. Why would I need to always put that card in my system if I already pay and downloaded the game? Just let me play the freaking game. See the similarity?

Re: Dynasty Warriors 3 Remaster Gets Switch 2 Release Date, Switch Version Cancelled

Serpenterror

If it's a game key card then they'll just lose my money. The only reason I was going to get the Switch version was cause it's a real game, now that's not happening anymore so I'll only get the Steam version for now. If the Switch 2 port is a real game then I'll eventually buy it but if it's not then I won't even going to bother with it. Still it's Koei Tecmo's decision so I'll have them make their move. I had no issue that it's a Switch 2 game, I just hope it isn't fake.

Re: Hands On: Rayman Legends Retold - Somehow, Legends Returned, But...Why?

Serpenterror

I already got this game on basically every platform I own now so this remake will have to wait to later. Of course that also depend if it's fake or not, if it is then I will never buy it but if it was it may get my money someday. Any game that is a game key card will never see a buy from me both digitally and physically. Any true physical game will get a buy from me and likely a digital double dip as well but any digital only game will only get a buy from me once cause I could only get it once (unless it had a physically release there after).

Re: Oops, Another Rayman Game Announcement Appears To Have Leaked

Serpenterror

It's a great game but knowing how UbiSoft screw up the Rayman 30th Anniversary Collection, it's likely they will ruin this one too. If you still got the original on Steam, Wii, 3DS, PS Vita, PS3, and Xbox 360, just play those ones instead as the game soundtrack for the so called enhanced edition may likely get replaced or ruin. It won't be like the original that you remember.
