Fantastic, I had been waiting forever to see this wonderful Wuxia story-driven RPG come to Switch and home consoles. Will definitely buy it day one if it had both physical and digital releases. Nice to see the lovely violin artist Shurai-Yue cover some of the soundtrack for this game too.
My hope for this movie will be very exciting. Also they are filming this in beautiful New Zealand where the Lord of the Rings trilogy and the Chronicles of Narnia trilogy took place. Expect to see some familiar locations in this despite the edit they will try of changing it. I'm also planning to take a trip there next year with the folks.
@EvilCT I believe that's cause they're older games. Majority of Japanese gamers already got earlier versions of these games on Famicom, Super Famicom, Game Boy Color, Wii, and Switch so most aren't entice to get these Switch/Switch 2 remakes.
Square Enix Aims To Automate 70% Of QA With Generative AI By 2027
Translation: They gonna go all lazy by that time. Won't be surprise if all their games are AI automated too. This is why Final Fantasy will never be good anymore or ever cause soon they gonna use ChatGPT to handle the story of their RPGs instead of a human like Hironobu Sakaguchi.
Huh I was wondering why I couldn't download the expansion even though it already appeared inside the collection yesterday. Hopefully they include more Atari Jaguar games and eventually add some Intellivision games in there too. C'mon Atari where's my Aliens vs. Predator, Kasumi Ninja, White Women Can't Jump, Ultra Vortex, Iron Soldier 1 & 2, Super Burnout, and Defender 2000?
@dskatter Yes and just cause you like that garbage doesn't it isn't. Nintendo had one job to make the Switch 2 something special and they screw it up which is why I say I what I say. You can polish something but if it's garbage, doesn't matter how much you polish it, it's still garbage. All they had to do with the Switch 2 is to make it more powerful than the Nintendo Switch 1, that's all they had to do, they don't have to do anything else and what did they do? They do something stupid that makes games not feel like games anymore which is why I say the Switch 2 is garbage, if the games are not games anymore. At this point it's no different from buying a bootleg games when the official ones feel like fakes.
I don't get why they went with this style when Double Dragon Gaiden was more well receive. Could had just improve from that instead of going the ugly realistic route. It also plays nothing like Double Dragon. It even looks and run worst than Double Dragon Neon as well.
Nintendo knew that if they end support for Switch 1, then they will have no other platform to fall back on if whenever the garbage that was the Switch 2 failed. Remember there's no Game Boy, there's no DS, and there's no 3DS to save their console's skin anymore. They only had the hybrid market now, if that failed then they are done so they'll have to keep the Switch 1 around for longer just in case if the Switch 2 is losing steam. They may as well use Sony's strategy going forward, keep the Switch 1 around and launch the Switch 2, then in five years when the Switch 2 is successful, killed the Switch 1 and announce the Switch 3. Then when the Switch 3 launch keep the Switch 2 on the market for five more years until the Switch 4 is announce and the Switch 3 become successful. Rinse and and repeat until they decided to make something new again.
Switch 2 Has The Largest Third-Party Software Lineup Ever For New Nintendo Hardware
While that's a cool lineup, it's too bad 90% of those 3rd party titles are either fake games or are going to be fake games. At that rate it may as well not have any. I had no problem with third party titles coming to Switch 2 but the fact that most are games that aren't even real physically just goes to show that this is all just quantity and not quality. Nintendo has always had issue with getting third party titles and going the fake game route is the worst of them all. Maybe next gen all we get for physical is a QR code that just remotely play the game, that would be the worst of the worst. At that point may as well not make any consoles either.
@DwaynesGames Disney has move on from that one perhaps and it really is odd that that collection still hasn't been re-release or skipped Nintendo altogether considering the audience who would buy that collection was all on Switch. It's not the best collection ever made but would be nice to have for preservation purposes.
Sonic Frontier was okay, Superstars was kinda iffy with the mix of 2D gameplay with 3D graphics thing and the constant use of classic Sonic and his classic friends just doesn't work nowdays. Sega should just remake all the older Sonic games (such as Sonic Advance 1, 2, and 3, Sonic Adventure 1 & 2, Sonic Heroes, Sonic Rush 1 & 2, Sonic 1, 2, Chaos, Triple Troubles, Blast, etc.) while also working on some new ones such as Sonic Adventure 3, Sonic the Hedgehog 5, Sonic Unleashed 2, Sonic Colors 2, Sonic Lost World 2, Sonic Advance 4, Sonic Drift 3, Sonic DVD and Sonic Blu-Ray (sequels to Sonic CD), Sonic R2, Super Sonic the Fighters II Turbo, Sonic Rush 3, Sonic Chaos 2, Sonic Battle 2, Sonic Pocket Adventure 2, Sonic Triple Trouble 3, Sonic Blast 2, Sonic Chronicles 2, and Sonic Heroes 2 .
As of now I'm just playing through the Steam version. I had not even bought the Switch version yet but I do have the physical version pre-ordered. My hope is that most of these bugs, input lags, and glitches are fix and the online lobby stuff are ready by the time the physical version release otherwise they'll need to delay that as well.
They ruin the Sega 32X version of MKII as a majority of the sounds are missing. Liu Kang is missing his Bruce Lee voice, Raiden doesn't yell when he Superman, Kitana and Mileena doesn't cry when kill by fatalities, and Shao Kahn doesn't shout round 1/2 Fight or Finish Him/Her unlike the actual Sega 32X version which I own. Quite disappointing indeed.
Onimusha 2 and Capcom Arcade Stadium are nice addition to the physical library. Also why was Zero the Kamikaze Squirrel not part of the Aero the Acro-Bat Collection?
At this point Microsoft are not going the way of Sega, nope not even close. Instead they are going the way of NeoGeo. Like NeoGeo they had the most expensive hardware and they not only make games for that expensive hardware but also porting those games to other competitor's hardware too. Also like NeoGeo which is giving gamer arcade accurate gaming at home, Microsoft is giving PC accurate gaming at home. The similarity is obvious now.
How bout actually put the game on the eShop Nintendo. A lot of my folks recently just found out about this game collection and they want to play it. They don't care how much it cost just make it available.
The real truth is that will future Mario games still retain its quality even after Shigeru Miyamoto retired? If there's any time for Miyamoto-san to seek a protégé to handle the Super Mario series going forward, now is the time. I know Keiji Aonuma took over the Legend of Zelda series and Yoshio Sakamoto took over Metroid for Gunpei Yokoi but we still need someone to take over the Super Mario series for Miyamoto once he decided to retire for good.
I hope we get the Game Boy version of Battle Arena Toshinden along with this. That version to me was the best, those 2D Game Boy animations look fantastic.
@itsapossum I don't think Palworld give a crap about you either once they trick you into their world. The difference between Palworld and Pokémon is that Pokémon knows to redeem themselves if they ever done you wrong, Palworld may succeed right now but once they screw you too, then they screw you permanently. You won't ever get back what you lost once that happen.
Nice to see Nintendo is winning again this week. I had to say Nintendo got their holiday stuff all warm up and ready to go ahead of everyone else this year. It's looking like Switch and Switch 2 holiday is going to be a big win for the House of Mario again. Everything that needs to be ready for the Black Friday and Christmas holiday are already at store shelves right now: Switch 1 & 2 consoles, Pokémon Legends: Z-A, the Super Mario Galaxy Collection, Donkey Kong Bananza, Pikmin 4, soon to release Kirby's Air Rider and Metroid Prime 4 Beyond, Fire Emblem Engage, Mario Kart World and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Complete, Xenoblade Chronicles X, and all the Switch 1 ports of games.
Nice to see Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles on number 2 there. Hopefully Square Enix see that and remastered Vagrant Story the same way. Vagrant Story is part of the Ivalice universe so I hope we get that one soon.
@Duncanballs They aren't a scam but they are a scummy move cause they are ruining a tradition that doesn't need to be fix. They allow developer to choose whether to give consumer a product or a counterfeit and most often than not the dev would likely choose the counterfeit cause fake is always cheap. The problem is the fake value doesn't apply to the actual customers, instead the customer still gets the fake product but not the value price in which that fake is apply to. I would understand if they only use game key card for just demo and prototype so gamers could try the game before buying the actual one but to put full games on it just doesn't add up and feels scummy at best. Nintendo's goodwill die after the Switch. Switch 2 going forward is just nothing but greed cause everything from there on will just be smoke and mirror and nothing more.
@iLikeUrAttitude The eShop is basically just the Virtual Console under a different name. Virtual Console doesn't necessarily mean it had to include retro games. Remember the e in eShop stands for electronic and something within electronic is digital and digital means the same as virtual.
They only trademarked "VirtualConsole" (1 word), not "Virtual Console" (2 words). This is why it's not what we think it is. We want the two words masterpiece, not the one word wannabe.
Like I said before, why even rush this game to release when we already got Persona 3 Portable? Take all the freaking time you need and polish that turd then release it. Why is that so hard? Nobody needs this garbage right now especially not this soon.
Got the entire NES library on my 4gb microsd card which I could play on my phone, emulation handhelds, Steam Deck, NES EverDrive, clone console, Analogue Super Nt, modded GameCube, Wii, Wii U, DS, 3DS, GBA, PlayDate, Retroid, GPD, Ouya, etc.
Itagaki-san, you are a great videogaming legend. I will play Ninja Gaiden Black in your honor.

Nice that Earthion made it to the top 10, it was a fantastic shmup. I'm glad Yuzo Koshiro didn't limit that game to just the dead Genesis system.
