Great move by Nintendo. Keeping Pokémon relevant and on people’s minds in the world’s largest market. 16 million pounds to a giant like Nintendo is small change and money well spent on brand recognition. Nintendo have made some brilliant moves over the last couple of years and the Super Bowl advert is another one.

It was all about Rebirth for me. I’m glad to see it coming so soon. As for the rest of it, very average. I gave it a 5/10 but the demos of pragmata and monster hunter are appreciated.

I’m sure Nintendo are cooking some serious DLC for Mario Kart World and are busily working on the next 3D Mario game. I cant wait to see what they have came up with for both titles.

Doom The Dark Ages, Ninja Gaiden 4, Halo Trilogy, Sea of Thieves, Tekken 8, Metaphor Refantazio, Hi Fi Rush, Diablo 4, Monster Hunter Wilds, Any of these games get announced, I will be very happy indeed

@The_Nintendo_Expat it’s not, it’s a very good game but it needs more content. I’m expecting in the next direct that Nintendo will have a ton of information regarding DLC for it. Nintendo are full aware of the criticisms towards the game and they are probably cooking up something special for their number one game.

I couldn’t play this one as I only had a PS4 so when it was announced for Switch 2 I was very happy indeed. Rebirth is one of my most anticipated games of 2026 for sure, I will take a day off work on its release day.

I also hope they release Final Fantasy 16 on Switch 2 too.

I should have been playing Dispatch this weekend until Ad Hoc decided to ruin the whole experience by censoring the game, so that’s getting left until they pull their finger out and get it uncensored.

Playing Final Fantasy 7 and will try to complete Huntdown in preparation for the incoming sequel.

I’m not buying AdHoc’s excuse that they accidentally placed their disclaimer in the wrong section of the store, that’s irrelevant, in the age of social media, they could have released a post months before making everyone aware that the Nintendo version was being censored, they chose not too, it was the journalists who announced the censorship and one day before release! Pre orders had already been processed weeks before including my own.

People keep blaming Nintendo for this mess, but Nintendo have issued a statement yesterday which shows that AdHoc are being egregious with the sentence: Nintendo does not make changes to partners content. This is on the devs and their reluctance to inform the public that they were censoring the game months before release because they knew it would hurt sales, which it clearly has done. AdHoc chose to say silent hoping that gamers would just accept the censorship, big mistake.

Ad Hoc studios are completely at fault here. They have chosen to do censorship so they could sell to the Japanese market and attempted to throw Nintendo under the bus in the process. Nintendo saying that they do NOT make changes to partners content is crystal clear, this on the studio not the publisher.

Ad Hoc, this hurting sales for the love of God and the game is meant to be great, just patch in the uncensored content button so I can play the dam game and not have to request a refund.

I’m playing the game the black bars are a major distraction, this needs to be spoken about. It’s completely out of order and NintendoLife is being disingenuous by claiming the bars are funny it’s not, it’s pure censorship. I did not pay money for a game with censorship, Ad Hoc never mentioned anything about censorship or I would not have pre ordered. I played the game for less than 10 minutes and the black bars are already present.

I demand that his game is UNCENSORED for European gamers. If Nintendo of America feels the need to censor then so be it, but Nintendo Europe should not censor anything! We are Europeans and the naked human body has been an important part of European art for centuries!

Censorship in all games is disgraceful. I am annoyed that this game has been censored and I pre ordered this game too! Why did they not make it clear to all of us who pre ordered the game? I want the nudity, I'm a mature adult and want to see the game as it was intended.

I’m buying it but I’m very disappointed it’s censored. They have no right to do that even more so as it was not made clear to me before I preordered it.

I have sent the studio an email asking them why they chose to censor and would ask you all to do the same thing, that way they may listen to our requests and they can hopefully patch the uncensored parts in at a later date

Hopefully Konami will be considering bring the latest silent hill game to switch 2. It would be a day 1 for me if they do.

Both Dooms are crying out for a switch 2 upgrade, come on guy’s make Doom look amazing on Switch 2. I would pay for an upgrade for both games in heartbeat.

I would give it a 9 but I’m honestly more excited for rebirth as I have never played it before. I bought remake to support Square Enix and to thank them for bringing the whole trilogy to switch 2. Please bring FF 16 next!

I’m tired of delays and quite frankly I’m getting tired of this drip feed of games on Switch 2. I’m mostly playing Switch 1 games on my Switch 2, It doesn’t make any sense.

Mario Film Direct is a bit meh, I would much prefer a normal direct

I’m over Microsoft, they keep saying they will port games to switch and still nothing has arrived.

Thank you Mr Hamaguchi for bringing the entire trilogy to Switch 2. I promise you I will buy every single title on launch day, I’m really looking forward to buying and playing Rebirth

Nintendo is treating Mario Kart World like an unwanted child. Where is the DLC Nintendo??

If it’s the switch 2 lite I’m all in, I already own a switch 2 but I’m more than happy to purchase a lite edition as I find them more comfortable to play handheld due to the weight loss.

Great game and a fantastic port to switch 1 I hope they eventually make a switch 2 upgrade for it to improve the graphics.

Sophie looks great, terrific casting. I just hope she is able to emulate Lara’s personality, elegant but tough.

The Netflix series Lara is really off putting, she is always angry and very masculine.

Nintendo in 2026 needs to bring the games. There is no excuse, no hardware is being released, the console is now out so this should be the year that a new 3D Mario game is announced. Especially as the new Mario film is due to be released in 2026. Nintendo also needs to support Mario Kart World, it needs SUBSTANTIAL DLC, the game is great but it can be a lot better. Also a new Luigi’s Mansion would be very much appreciated.

Switch 2 upgrades for the Wolfenstein games and also Switch 2 upgrades for the Doom games please. I will pay if necessary.

Preordered the Generations pack. Looking forward to playing some of the best Resident Evil games on the go in the cafe, on the train or even laying in bed 👍

The British game charts are miserable, it’s the usual suspects and has been for years now, FIFA, GTA V, Call of Duty and Mario Kart, so depressingly bland.

Japanese game charts are so much more interesting.

Surely a trailer for Dragon Quest XII? It’s been a couple of years since it was first announced and nothing has been shared so far.

Anyone agree that development time for AAA games is getting ridiculous?…no wonder indie games are crushing it at the moment.

I would buy this day 1 for sure. The Final Fantasy I’m most looking forward to playing is Final Fantasy Rebirth and the one I’m most hopeful gets a switch 2 release is Final Fantasy XVI.

Nintendo need to come hard in 2026. I understand that this year it was about releasing the new console and that took precedent, but there are no excuses for 2026. Bring the games Nintendo!

1. Metroid Prime 4
2. Hyrule Warriors
3. Mario Kart World

It’s still early days in Switch 2 but if Mario Kart World receives DLC over the coming years, I predict it will go on to be the best selling game for Switch 2 by a country mile.

P.S Kirby Air Riders was to chaotic in my humble opinion and I felt overwhelmed when playing the trial so I didn’t pick it up.

I’m really annoyed about this. I bought the Switch 1 version not knowing it had a Switch 2 version. Ubisoft should release an upgrade patch for owners of Switch 2.

Well done to all who got it for that dirt cheap price and a big thanks to CD Projext Red for letting them keep it at that price. The more people who play this masterpiece the better.

Personally I’m happy to have paid £40 and having the cart as the game is huge and I need to save space on my SD card 👍

I don’t really care for Avatar but I would like to see some big hitters next year for Switch 2. We’re is Doom the Dark Ages, Diablo 4, Expedition 33, GTA 5, Tekken 8, Ninja Gaiden 4, Metaphor Refantazio etc? C’mon Nintendo, start announcing some big games. 2026 is looking a little lightweight.
