Price is king! Talk all you like about specs, improvements, new games blah blah it’s all about the pricing of the console and in these tough times getting people to move on from older hardware is a challenge.

HMV said that DVDS still outsell Blu-rays and 4k Blu-rays, why? DVDs are still cheaper than the latter. Sony and Microsoft have found it hard to get people to move on to their latest generation of consoles even Apple had to turn off older iPhone models to get users to upgrade! Microsoft struggled to get millions to move off Windows XP up until they shut it down last year hundreds of millions of computers were still using it.

As others have said if Nintendo can keep this around £299 - £399 they have a winner on their hands. Pricing is the most important factor for the Switch 2’s release and success.

Thanks for the review Mr Zack. If a game gets a 9/10 i will always pick it up, you guys haven’t let me down yet so I just preordered the game.

P.S Looking forward to Season 2

Makes no sense to ONLY show the console, even if the reveal has been pushed forward due to the amount of leaks happening, we all kind of know what we’re getting already.

Even under the hood, it’s not going to be as powerful as current gen consoles, it’s about the games with Nintendo and it always has been.

My prediction is they will show third party games being released Day 1 for the new console, especially those by EA. Getting EA on board with Switch is so important going forward especially for the Madden games (finally!) Microsoft’s COD should make an appearance and lastly, Nintendo’s big reveal I’m certain will be a new Mario Kart.

Nintendo, it’s time to reveal the successor… leaks will keep happening and by the time of the reveal people will know everything about it.

My favourite reveals of the game awards were Ninja Gaiden Ragebound 🥷Dave the Diver in the jungle, Project Robot and Project Century.

What kind of review score is this? 6/10? I bought the game and it looks and runs amazing, it’s classic Yakuza and it’s on Switch for the first time, it’s easy a 8/10, your final score is trash, you praise the game then give it a mediocre score, what’s that about?

You definitely haven’t played Yakuza 5 if you think Yakuza Kiwami has pacing issues, Yakuza 5 goes on forever….Kiwami is a breeze compared to 5.

The first time I seen Mario 64 in an imported Japanese console, my jaw hit the ground. It was the same feeling I got seeing Quake running on a PC. I felt the future had arrived. And it was one step closer to games looking like real life, a discussion that many gamers talked about.

Up until Mario 64 everything was 2D and the small amount of 3D games were forgettable. I was amazed at Mario Bros 3, seeing it for the first time on the film The Wizard and putting the gold cartridge in the NES and many years later seeing Mario World on the SNES, being wowed by Yoshi and the colour palette etc. But nothing comes close to seeing Mario 64 on an imported Japanese N64. The future had arrived and there was no going back.

I remember in the import shop there was hordes of gamers including me standing around just in awe at what Nintendo had managed to do, Mario was running around in a 3D world, a platform game in 3D and it looked so good! It was a special moment in time and a giant leap in the evolution of video games and the games industry. Thanks Nintendo 🙏

P.S. Honourable mention to the Galaxy games and Odyssey, they are something special.

I despise hackers, they are a bunch of pathetic stay at home criminals. I was so excited to see GTA 6 and it was ruined by a pathetic nerd who hacked Rockstar.

I’m always happy to read when they are caught and cry mental illness when they are getting thrown into prison to get bullied by the other criminals.

Double trouble for me this October! First is Yakuza, I’m so excited to see it make its move to the Switch, day 1 for me.

Second is Shadow of the Damned Hella Remastered finally drops, looking forward to smashing through the demon horde with my man Garcia Hotspur.

This looks like a day 1 purchase for me, hopefully they will bring the older games to switch also.

Why phantom pain? No need to add that one, I would personally prefer the acid games, revengance, twin snakes or portable ops.

I will pick this one up, thanks Nintendo life for giving me a heads up on games I would never know about, I purchase games that you guys give high scores too and you are always on the money, not played a bad one yet, keep up the good work guys.

Make it happen guys, this is fantastic MMO and can be played single player. My only concern would be game size, it’s a vast world so it would take up alot of space.

Rest in peace Brett. Goldeneye was a high point for N64, multiplayer was so much fun. I really want to play it again on Nintendos online service but the controls are awful on my switch lite. Condolences to Brett’s family and friends.

This is so ridiculous, you can go and buy a chainsaw, nailgun, crossbow, baseball bat, Axe and a whole bunch of items that can be used as lethal weapons but carry a 6 inch replica blade and you are thrown in jail.

It was excellent but I really wanted that the Windmaker remaster announcement, but alas it never came 😭 Metroid 4 and the new Zelda game helped to ease the pain though.

Metroid 4 graphics are incredible on switch imagine how it will look on the new console?

Definitely a Day 1 purchase for me, I really like the games cover art too. Looking forward to Shadows of the Damned remake to (another day 1)

We’re at a point we’re it’s safe to say that every purchaser of a Nintendo console past present and future will have paid the “Mario Kart Tax” at some point.

All Nintendo have to drop on their next consoles release day is a new Mario Kart and it would fly off the shelves. What an amazing game Nintendo made with Mario Kart, it’s practically the perfect game.

Oh I like the new look table but why do some games have a red font and others don’t?

Why don’t they show the sales figures? Seems a bit odd to not show how many units a game has shifted.

Day 1 for me. I just hope they show the new Dragon Quest 12 as well. I have been waiting so long to see some footage of the game.

@demacho Yes I have, digital board games. But deep diving into an ocean to look and find sea life just sounds a bit dull especially when Dave the Diver is so much fun to play.

I don’t understand the concept you just swim about looking at sea life? It sounds more like a tech demo than an actual game. Give me a harpoon and let me hunt and I would definitely purchase this game.

Keep it coming Ubisoft, Prince of Persia is a fantastic game, highly recommend. I’m definitely buying the new game if it ends up on switch too.

Seems to me that going forward we will be seeing all the big sports games like Madden, EA Sports FC, NHL and maybe even F1 coming to Switch 2. I can’t wait to play NHL and Madden on a portable console.

Nintendo are an excellent template for other business’s to follow and look up too. Their artists, designers and developers are also phenomenal. I was in constant awe of how beautiful BOTW looks, sounds and plays, it was inspired design from the devs, artists and musicians at Nintendo, even now so many years late that game is still breathtaking to look at.

Nintendo creates inspired art with minimal tech, that is because of the talented artists and devs at Nintendo and a more relaxed company ethos of letting them take time to create something special. I also recently read they gave their employees an unexpected pay rise, in an era where studios are being closed and those in the industry are being laid off in the tens of thousands to find work and put food on their tables, Nintendo are rewarding their employees for their hard work.

Yes, Nintendo should go all out with Switch in Junes direct! Switch saved Nintendo and the fans deserve it. Only Nintendo franchises in this new direct, remasters of Zelda & Twilight Princess, Mario Galaxy 2, F Zero GX, Metroid Prime 2 & 3, Mario Baseball and Metroid prime 4 and why not a new Punch Out too? Nintendo owes it to the fans for supporting them over the years and Switch deserves a stellar grand finale because it has been a company saver.

Nintendo, why are you making us wait for Windmaker HD? Please drop that game for the fans. Anyway, I’m really excited to see HI Fi Rush on Switch, it’s going to be a day one for me as long as the reviews are good. Anything Dragon Quest would be great, Sega please bring the original Jet Set Radio with a HD update to Switch, again that would be a day 1 buy for me. New Professor Layton footage would be nice and a shadow drop for Metroid Prime 2.

Nintendo doesn’t have to rush Switch 2 out. They had an incredible 2023 and Switch is still selling very well, 2025 would be the right time to drop a new console. In the meantime Nintendo, please drop Wind Maker Remastered and Twilight Princes HD. I have been waiting years for them, I’m not getting younger Nintendo!

I wish I was playing Super Mario Galaxy on my Switch, but I can’t get hold of a copy because the scalpers are charging extortionate prices for a copy, thanks Nintendo.
