Feels like something that should have been in the game from day one. It is ridiculous how games are handled these days.

It would be nice to see some of them. I find it a bit suspicious, that we barely have seen any marketing of this game.

I still do not know exactly what an NFT is. When I google it, I usually get a weird looking monkey.

Do we also know if the DLC will be fun? Because this is what I'm missing from the new Pokémon games...

I watched it. It was okay. Maybe a bit too much focus on fan service and Easter eggs. But, I guess this film is mostly something only true Sonic fas can enjoy.

Yeah, technically, a feminine princess that needs to be rescued feels in our modern times more like a unique character.

Believe it or not, but Princess Peach was already in some media outside the games a cool and active character, like in the mangas and the Super Mario Bros. Super Show in the 80s. I'm not sure if this version of Peach will be likeable or interesting. Modern western film writers are so afraid in creating female characters now, that they just make them “strong”, “perfect” and with “no flaws”, just in case to not offend anyone. And I don't mean that all females in media need to become helpless damsel in distress, that would be just a stereotype. But, in our modern times, the strong, independent woman that needs no man has become the new stereotype for them. I wish we could just go the middle route again, and create a strong female character, that still has their weaknesses to overcome.

Let's hope this time they can write a prober girl protagonist. Let's be honest here, this anime surely false when it comes to female characters. The only good once written were Jessie, May, Dawn, and Lillie. The rest were either just background decoration (Lana), wasted potential (Iris, Bonnie), eye candy fan service (Misty, Serena, Mallow), or just there to have a female (Chloe).

If Sonic 06 could be a hit for SEGA, every Sonic game will sell well. The only ones that bombed were the Sonic Boom games, but that is because they changed the characters into something fans don't like.

The story accept is the only thing that I hear fans praising about this game. I mean, sure, they also talk about the overworld and gameplay, but most Sonic fans focus really on the story and the characterizations of the characters in their reviews, At leats the ones I saw. Story seems to be a huge part of what makes Sonic so beloved. People like the dark and melodramatic stuff in these games. But, that is also a reason, why I personally can not take these games serious and why I preferred Mario, Kirby or Banko-Kazooie always over Sonic.

Now, I do not think that Sonic was never good, as IGN said it once in an interview, but I think Sonic's glory days are long gone. The only reason this franchise is still relevant is because of the appealing design of the character. Sonic is one of the most marketable and beloved characters in the history of character designing. As long as SEGA doesn't change the design of him and his friends, the franchise will make them money. Heck, Sonic 06 sold millions of copies and is, unironically, beloved among a lot of Sonic fans. Not because it is good, but because the characters have designs and personalty traits that the fans like.

Say, am I the only one that thinks that the prehistoric forms are much more creative in terms of design? The future forms are, for the most part, just a robotic version of the original Pokemon.

I'm surprised that the DLCs expansions packs come so late. I would think they release the first package in mid-spring.

I wonder how long it will take for them, to bring Ash back. I think it is too late to retire him from the anime. Digimon switched its characters pretty early, but for Pokémon it s too late.

How long were they working on this game? Over 20 years from what I heard. Too bad it didn't pay off. It kinda shows, that making games isn't as easy as it always sounds.

Cool, just hope they didn't spoil the entire film with all the promotion material they showed so far. This is actually one of the biggest downside with Illumination.

I guess, as long as it isn't as bad as Sonic 06, a Sonic game can be considered good. At least, this is an argument I hear all the time from the Sonic community.

This might be an unpopular opinion, but Princess Toadstool from the Super Mario Bros. Show is, in my opinion, one of the stronger versions of the character. She was in charge, was clever, didn't get kidnapped all the time, had personality, was into music and sports, and still had a feminine side to her.

Most writers can not really find a good balance with female characters' personality traits. Either they are too feminine and therefore a stereotype, or it is the opposite, they are too mean, angry, and cynical, and therefore another stereotype.

They don't need to do this. GameFreak got the money from the costumers already.

No, that is German and just means: "Die Nintendo". A person that speaks German can not be evil.

No offence, but compare to older characters from the series, such as Ash, Misty, and Brock, these two new characters look really generic. I have seen one-time-characters in the anime that had a more outstanding design. They could easily be just crowd and background characters.

It seems like there will be no Rock Pikmins in this game.

I'm a bit interested in this game, but I heard that Pikmin games have some sort of time limit. You run out of oxygen, or something like that, and you only have a few hours to finish the game. If that is the case, I'm skipping the game. If there is something I hate in video games, then it is pressure.

Man, I hope they also add in Pauline, Diddy Kong, Dixie Kong, and Funky Kong. And, if I'm lucky, maybe also K. Rool and Cranky... and also Captain Falcon. Come on! Nintendo! You have the Blue Falcon in this game and two F-Zero tracks, but no Captain Falcon?

Finally, a sequel to Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts.

That is actually a good sign for other old SEGA IPs to have come back. SEGA has so many good franchises, but they are a buried under a pile of mediocre Sonic games.

I think the focus will be mostly on Tears of the Kingdom. But I do not think, that this game will come out in May. They will push it to early summer or even as a holiday title, unless they have a big surprise like a new DK, or a remake of either Kid Icraus Uprising or the first Paper Mario.

At this point, fans can stop expecting GameFreak to improve the quality of their games. And I can not even blame them. Not matter how broken, glitchy, empty, and overpriced Pokémon games are, fans are still willing to pay money for it.

It looks like Kamek and probably the blue Koopa Paratroopa have a much bigger role in the film than I thought.

The only thing I can see is some Mario-related stuff, because of the film. I heard rumours of a new sports title and of a new 2D Mario.

Since Pokémon is such a cash cow, Gamefreak doesn't really need to create new IPs. That is the curse in which success brings with it.

Can we not just use Captain Syrup as an evil counterpart to Peach instead?

Wow, that is such a cool toy. I wish this stuff would have been on the market when I was a kid. But, my plush toys and LEGO sets made me a happy child anyway.

Since this is a Netflix show, his will probably be the last bunch of episodes, and then it gets cancelled.

I think all of Ash's former companions will have a closure to their stories, just like him. Brock and Misty will travel with him and meet all the others such as Iris, the Alola gang, and I'm also sure Team Rocket will get their happy end. Speaking of, I hope Brock meets up with Olivia again. They are met for each other.

I watched it. It is okay, but definitely something for younger people.

There is no reason to keep Ash and Pikachu as main characters. Their journey has ended, there are no more stories you can tell with them. But… I'm not sure if new protagonists will help the anime. Isn't it now, after 25 years, way too late to replace Ash and Pikachu? They are the face of the entire franchise.

Fandoms. Toxic fandoms.

Kids will always love Sonic. It is his appealing design and they way he and his friends are written. Sonic gives you the feeling, that his is this cool friend that thinks you are therefore cool as well. In other words, Sonic is a friend you wish he would be real. That is the reason this fandom is so toxic, because they need to protect their cool friend from any criticism.

I wonder if it will taste like sweet corn.

There are worse games of 2022 out there than Pokémon: Scarlet and Violet?
