Is it now normal for modern games to announce paid DLC before the game even has come out?

According to the leaks, the upcoming game is an online-Multiplayer game similar to Fortnite with some Crash Bandicoot characters and a bunch of new original characters.

After the disappointing Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time, I would rather have a new Spyro game.

I don't think we will see Rosalina. She is, unlike the Kongs and Bowser's Army, a huge character that would have got also a voice actor announcement if she would play a big role in the film.

I really want a region based on Africa. Africa has such an interesting culture and history that would be perfect for Pokémon designs, characters, and locations. Sadly, most people only know the most basic stereotypes of the African continent: Big jungle continent with a lot of uga-buga-people.

It kinda depends on from which angle you see him. In some shots he looks incredibly good, in others ot so much.

For me sadly this is, because female characters can not really surprise you any more, if every single one of them have to be the same archetype.

Diddy Kong and Dixie Kong were spotted in the stadium crowed scene, as well as a Kong that looks like Swanky.

My guess is, that we had a balance of male heroes in media back then. We had the no-nonsense serious once, such as most of the DC and Marvel super heroes/protagonists, but we also had idiots (Homer Simpson), naive children (Spongebob), egotistical ones (Darkwing Duck), wisecracks (Sonic), jerks (Kuzco), brutes (DK), slackers (Mordecai and Rigby), former evil ones (Stitch).

When it comes to females, we only really have two types here in the west: Strong women with no flaws and, at leats in children's media, happy-go-lucky girls.

Peach in this film sounds, talks and acts like every other modern strong woman.

That had mostly to do with modern media. Before the politics came into the entertainment business, no one really had an issue with strong women in stories.

Both are stereotypes. The helpless damsel in distress is insulting, while the strong woman is boring. I kinda wish we can have a middle ground. But it seems it is just one extreme or the other.

If you look closer, you can seem more than just one Kong with a red bandana in the final scene. I think it is just a generic Kong from the stadium scene. They are using the designs of the Kongs from the Rare era as template for crowed scenes.

For the last time, that is not Funky Kong, just another generic Kong that happens to look like him.

For the last time. Those are generic Kong from the stadium that looks like familiar Kongs from the DKC series, they just took their designs as templates.

Of course, Peach is a badass, kick-ass fighter babe. But, I should get use to this by now... I mean, every woman has to be like this in modern films these days. But, I hope that Mario and Peach get together by the end.

They failed, because Disney thought been politically correct in enough these days, instead of telling a good story that happens to to have progressive characters.

LGBTQ stuff can work - look at Sailormmoon, a non-white protagonist can also work, look at Boondocks and Samurai Jack, the issue is that companies such as Disney have no clue how to market these concept correctly to the costumer.

You guys are just way too hard on the character designs. Do you know why Mario and Peach look so weird to us? Because this is the first time we see them showing of facial expression. Since they were created, they were noting but blank slates.

Yeah, that worked out so well for Lightyear and Strange World. No, sometimes sticking to your own ideas can benefit your art. If every character has to follow the same progressive template, we will just see the same type of character again and again.

I hope they do not turn Peach into a kick-ass, no-nonsense women that can do every martial art mankind knows, just to be progressive and go with the modern times. She is the most famous damsel in distress in video games, maybe even in all media. I think you can make a damsel in distress likeable and interesting by given her some sort of personality. Roxanne from Megamind comes into my mind. She gets kidnapped a lot, but is pretty snarky all the time.

The anime is at this point the only salvation Scarlet and Violet have at this point.

Such a boring, predictable pick. I get why it is so popular, but I'm so sick and tired of seeing cats everywhere.

Rouge and Big are now part of Team Sonic. Cool, but also a bit weird… I always thought, Rouge was more a part of Team Dark with Shadow.

In that case, make a game that is fun. I didn't play Frontiers, but from what I saw in die videos, you are doing the same boring stuff as usual. Running through Green Hill again, use the homing attack to go over bottomless pits, running through Chemical plant again, use boost pads and springs to get somewhere, running through Sky Sanctuary again, grinding on rails, etc. in a very uninspired, boring, lifeless world. I really can not see how this is for many people a 9/10 game.

Fill the world with NPCs. Didn't people leaked a concept art of a pink haired lady that was planned to be an NPC in this world?

Bad. I didn't play it, but from what I have seen, it is a game, where you run around in a lifeless, uninspired overworld, have to solve similar puzzles, do similar tricks, and have to do rehashed 2D-levels from Generations. The story is also boring and complicated. I guess, only Sonic fans can appreciate this game.

The game looks very lifeless and boring from the videos I have seen. I wonder why so many folks from this fanbase praise this game.

Good luck with that. This series went from one new concept to the other that I'm not even sure that this franchise has a lore any more.

Something that is fun and without glitches… sadly, I have to pass on Sonic Frontiers.

Good, but doesn't fit the Sonic brand at all. When I think of Sonic, I have to think of funky pop tunes or the butt rock music from the SA games.

They created a lot of new female Rabbids for this game. I wonder if they needed to do this for the diversity points.

Knuckles is really the most inconsistent characters I have ever seen in a franchise. He goes from lonely wolf, to hothead, to *****, to cool each era.

He is right. One is fun, the other not.

Wait... I thought Bayonetta is a series for adults? So why do they have to censor an adult game?

This is sad, if you look at the quality some Sonic products have. SEGA has so much better series to offer.

Doesn't look that bad for a licence game.
