Am I the only one that thinks the prehistoric Pokèmon are so much better designed? The futuristic versions are very unimaginative, because they are just a robot version of the original.

I will never understand the appeal for TikTok. Seems like it was made for people with low attention spans.

I just feel nothing. Compare to other games this generation, Pokémon feels really outdated in pretty much everything: gameplay, content, graphics, sound design, animation, effects, some character designs (not all of them are bad – looking at you, Professor Sada), storytelling, heck, they still don't have voice actors for the characters yet. Pokémon has so much potential, but I guess as long as fans still buy those games, no matter how bad the quality is, GameFreak will never improve in quality. You know how bad the situation is, if even a modern Sonic game has better critical reception.

This is my first Pikmin game, and I'm having a blast with it. Although a lot of hardcore Pikmin fans say online, that this one is way too easy and too repetitive. I so far enjoy it. Games where you explore an overworld and collect things to process were always my favourite as a kid.

Only Mr. Krabs is now missing. If he will be playable, we now have all mayor SpongeBob character sin the game.

I find it a bit ironic that game franchises such as Banjo-Kazooie and Conker are getting all kinds of merchandise, except for a new game. Well, at least they are getting something unlike ARMS and F-Zero.

Hopefully this inspires Ubisoft to give Rayman another chance. His last two 2D platformers are some of the best on the market.

If anyone of these six characters will be in the fighter pass, I would buy a third fighter pass:

I kinda wish the art style would be better. I'actually surprised, they did not use the art style of these Mickey Mouse Shorts they produce since 2013.

It looks like they only focus on their 6 biggest franchises at the moment: Shrek, Kung Fu-Panda, How to Train your Dragon, Trolls, The Boss Baby, and The Bad Guys. I hope we will see some forgotten ones such as Madagascar and Rise of the Guardians.

I'm not sure if this is an unpopular opinion, but I find Liko to be a pretty boring character so far. In general, after Iris we haven't hade an “active” girl in the anime.

• Serena was just a waifu fan service, and rarely did anything in the anime besides being Ash's groupie.
• Bonnie was fine, but since she is such a young kid, they couldn't do many stories with her.
• All three girls in Sun & Moon, as likeable as they were, only did “girly” activities such a shopping and standing next to the sideline and served as cheerleaders.
• And Chloe is the worst girl so far. Such a passive and inactive character, that she didn't even was allowed to go on an adventure with the boys.

Liko feels kinda like these recent girls that we got since X&Y. A girl that isn't allowed to do much besides been a helpless damsel in distress and looking cute. At least so far. The anime still has a change to turns things around, but as the “main character” of the new anime, pretty much Ash's successor, she is way too reserved. Roy feels more like the true main character of the new anime so far.

I hope it is something not related to Sonic. He already has Sonic Forces DLC and Sonic Superstars for this year.

Nice animation, but, I have the feeling I always see the same things happening in this 2D Sonic intros. Sonic and his closest friends running around in Green Hill Zone or Green Hill Zone inspired eras, defeating Badniks, and doing cool poses. We have seen similar animations with an almost identical art style already in Sonic Mania, The Sonic miniseries on YouTube, Sonic Origins, and now once again here. It is still good, high quality animation, but a bit too repetitive for my taste.

Wow, looks like dreams can come true. I always wanted that game for the GBA after I saw screenshots and an article about it in a magazine, but sadly it never came to be, ...until now.

Perfect selection for the summer. So... I hope the rumoured DK track is true. I desperately need something from DK or Rare. The last thing we got were King K. Rool and Banjo-Kazooie being playable in SSBU.

As for the question which girl I would tickle torment, I would either choose Misty, Iris, Olivia, or Professor Sada.

This is most likely also one of the reasons, why Nintendo hasn't made a new Diddy Kong Racing since that terrible DS-Remake. That is sadly one of the downsides with Nintendo, if Mario gets everything: platformers, RPGs, Kart Racers, sports games, and all the experimental games, than you really have no use for many other franchises. Why make a new DKC if Mario can get a new 2D platformer? Why make a new Diddy Kong Racing or F-Zero if we can just add new tracks to MK8? Heck, even Splatoon was at one point almost a Mario game.

I'm very unsure about Pikmin 4. I was always interested in the franchise, but I heard, that the Pikmin games have some sort of time limit, that you have to finish them until time runs out.

I wonder if Illumination will do A Pokémon film at one point. Probably not, since Gamefreak has their own animation studio for that.

Out of them, I like Kamek the most. Since the Super Mario Bros. Film, Kamek grew on me. He is a pretty funny character if they use him correctly. I especially love the Peter Lorre-esque voice the gave him.

To be brutally honest, not really. The characters are a bit more lively, but other than that, this is really just another NSMB without calling it NSMB. Next time, Nintendo should be a bit more creative with the designs and really try to experiment more, like what Ubisoft did for Rayman in Rayman Origins and Rayman Legends. To be honest, seeing the same character designs and art style again and again can be very tiring after a while.

I wouldn't mind seeing a remake of Geomon. I heard it is a mix of Super Mario 64 and The Legend of Zelda: OoT.

I can not wait to see the elephant forms of Peach, Daisy, and Toad.

Mario's elephant transformation reminds me of a popular German child book character called “Benjamin Blümchen”. Yes, I get it, it makes from a business standpoint much sense, why Nintendo pushes Mario so much now. I get it. The same reason why GameFreaks makes nothing but Pokémon games, I get it, they print a lot of money for their companies, but I wish, I could have something else, at least one thing that is not related to the Mario Universe.

This Direct was incredible… if you are a Mario fan. That is one of the reason you should always buy at least one extra console next to your Nintendo system. As much as I like Nintendo, but they rely way too heavily on franchises with high priority, such as Mario. I get why, it is a huge money making machine, but after a while you are getting tired of seeing the same characters, atmosphere, and sound effects again and again. I think, I had my dose of Mario for this decade. If I ever buy another console, it will maybe be the next PS or XBOX, but... also there it depends on how good the third party support is.

At this point they will go through all the element types Pokémon has and created a new Pikmin species.

To be honest, I'm more interested in the Rayman DLC. I had my dose of Mario this generation, and to be honest, I'm getting a bit sick of it.

I'm happy for the Sonic Mania. Glad that they can use their resources to make new content. This is, what we need, new concepts and characters.

Finally, they made Daisy playable. Boy, it really takes Nintendo such a long time to give other characters a chance to shine. King K. Rool is only now playable in Smash, Daisy only now gets a playing role in a main line game. And others such as Zelda are still not playable in her own series.

The only big highlight for me, because this was not a game, that was leaked. After the negative feedback of Super Princess Peach, I thought Nintendo was done by giving Peach her own series.

Too bad, that this was leaked, would have been a nice surprise. I never played Super Mario RPG. Is it good? I only played Paper Mario 1 - 2, and the first 4 Mario & Luigi RPGs.

Since the quality of Pokémon games have fallen, I do not feel like buying a Pokémon ever again. When they start carrying about their product again, I might give Pokémon another chance.

Of course not, we do not want to make the self-entitled, left-winged social justice warriors mad who never played a Sonic game in their lives. Also, Amy wasn't a damsel in distress since SA for the Dreamcast, something a real gamer would know. Gosh, I hate the 2010/2020s so much. I will be one of the happiest people on earth, if the forced liberal agendas will finally leave the entertainment industry, and we can have fun again.

@Debbiee You do not have to tell me. I'm waiting since TF for a new DK game, but I think we will get one, when they finished the attractions in Universal Park.

@Debbiee I highly doubt that. DK is not a big franchise any more, and secondly, if the rumours are through, that we get a new Mario game tomorrow, there is no need for another jump'n run game for the console.

I do not expect any big surprises any more from Nintendo, since the lifecycle of the switch ends pretty soon. Some information on Pikmin 4, some new DLC information for Fire Emblem, Xenoblade, Splatoon 3, The next Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Wave, and the leaked 2D Mario game, which hopefully is not as generic as the NSMB series.

They can keep this game. Since Toys for Bob took control over the Crash series, a lot of the fun and flair that made this franchise so unique has fainted away. I would rather have another Spyro game.

Good, I really just can't stand this edgelord. To be honest, the only tolerable characters in this franchise are the classic characters, Big, Cream, maybe Blaze, and Chip. Everyone else tries way too hard to be as cool and edgy as possible (Infinite, Mephilies) or, not bad, but they feel like characters that come from a different franchise (Merlina, The Deadly Six)

I enjoyed the Super Mario Brothers Film, but that film did nothing to really push animation further, neither in storytelling nor animation. It is pretty much one of the most standard films you would get from a studio like Illumination. Influential animated films are ones like Disney's Snow White, Akria, Sprited Away, Fritz the Cat, Toy Story, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Spider-Verse, or Shrek, The Nightmare before Christmas.

Well, if SEGA is too stubborn to keep good studios around, then these studios have to go make their own things. Sad, SEGA really had a good studio there with Sumo Digital that could deliver their own kart racing series.
