Re: Thunderful Announces Its Second Restructuring Program In One Year

That's such a shame. I remember when Image & Form were a tiny start-up, passionately making Steamworld games. Such a shame that they're part of a soulless corporation now. If those at the top screwed up badly enough to sack 100 people, then they should be sacked too. It should be the CEO's job to protect their workers, not use them as fodder.

Re: UK Charts: Sonic X Shadow Generations Hits The Brakes And Slips Out Of The Top Ten

@Drommajin I played on Switch, yeah. Ended up putting a good 70 hours in, apparently! I loved trying to improve my times in the cyberspace levels. The Switch version certainly looks far worse than the other versions, but it still plays the same. I still enjoy playing Colours on the Wii, too. And I've never quite clicked with the controls and physics of Generations, but I'm trying it again recently, and I'm getting there. It's a shame Lost World and Forces were pretty poor, though.

That's such a shame. They published some great games physically here in the UK. I have quite a few, such as Streets of Rage 4, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge, Dead Cells, and Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles. They've still got some physicals set as "coming soon" on their website, such as Spirittea. I wonder if they'll still come out.

Re: Level-5's New Yo-Kai Watch 'Holy Horror Mansion' Teaser Supposedly Features AI Artwork

@Xeacons The equivalent of a word processor in the art world would be an artist using a digital drawing program instead of paintbrushes and paint. The artist is still using their skills and a tool to create art. What AI does is remove that artist altogether, and Frankenstein its own image from a mash of stolen artwork made by real artists. Same with AI that does text. An exec could make the AI write an unoriginal TV show pilot, and remove the need to ever hire writers. AI in the creative space is a tool, but a tool used almost exclusively by thieves to steal original work and never pay the deserving creators.
