Whilst a nice idea, these are definitely overpriced. It's clear this is a mobile game, with mobile game "micro"transactions. Remember when they put in a free Halloween skin, then removed it again in a future update?

@Duncanballs I agree. I never pay RRP for my games. I'm just going by what Nintendo charges on the eShop for my comparison, which is what we're stuck with if we get the all-digital future that many people seem to want for some reason.

HD but no more 3D. Was a £16 selects title on just the previous handheld. And you didn't have to pay for the online either. An HD coat of paint is not worth £34 + online. It's a wonderful game, but this is outrageously poor value from Nintendo here.

@DripDropCop146 I've been working here for almost 5 years! XD Mostly enjoyable. Streetpass was a cool feature on 3DS. 3DS was Nintendo's best handheld. Wally is usually hiding in the "Where's Wally" books. ;D

@Poyidoya You're right that Amazon seem to have sold out of copies for the time being. But yeah, a Facebook group I'm part of tracks Switch cartridge revisions. People in the group have definitely received cartridges with the DLC included on there. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet + DLC cartridges are up to revision #004 so far. I've wanted a Penny's Big Breakaway physical since it launched, but this is ridiculous! The company that published the game is owned by Take Two, the owners of GTA!! They could easily publish a proper, worldwide physical so players living outside NA wouldn't have to pay so much for postage and import fees.

Poor little indie company, Ubisoft. It's a shame they can't afford to put out their own physical releases.

@SillyG The most recent Japanese revisions of Scarlet and Violet have the DLC on cartridge, even though the box still says there's a download required.

Good! Splatoon 3 doesn't have regional differences, unlike Splatoon 2. I might get this as I haven't bought the DLC yet.

As stated in the article, the event is only for press and influencers. So why should I care if Nintendo turns up? I can't go. Everyone will get their reveals when a Direct drops. No need for "influencers" or the like to tell us what we should be excited for.

Currently no online play, but career mode requires internet? No sale, I'm afraid.

So it basically is just a high-def upgrade. Just as thought. No reason to buy. Especially not at the price they're charging.

Someone should tell Ubisoft the noun they're looking for in the video title is "announcement".

@RareFan Or, many Sega fans like Sonic games and Sega's other games too. I've been gaming since the Mega Drive. I like Sonic games, and I also miss a lot of the other franchises, but we know they're coming. Just be patient. A remaster of a beloved Sonic game is a good way for Sega to get easy money while we wait on the others. Just like Nintendo putting out lots of Mario games in a generation. We're getting a new Monkey Ball too, and we got a new Samba de Amigo. And this gen we also got a new Streets of Rage, and Wonder Boy game. The games are coming.

This is just like Donkey Country: Tropical Freeze. Was a Selects title on the previous console, now being sold "new" for more than double the price, AND now you have to pay for the online multiplayer too, when it was free before. It's a complete rip-off from Nintendo here.

Game have been good for getting physical indie games cheap on clearance sale. For example, I got Shovel Knight on Switch for £20, Shantae 4 on PS4 for £15, and The Sexy Brutale on PS4 for £5. But I haven't bought anything day-one from them for years because of their atrocious prices. So I'm not surprised that they're struggling.

I'd be happy with some smaller, cheaper sets along with the big ones.
The starting island from WW would be a nice little one. Link, his sister and gran, and a small house with some pigs and grass.
The Goron hot springs from TP would be good too. With a TP Link and Midna figure.
Skyloft would be a cool bigger set. With a loftwing too.
Even a little hidden grove from BotW or OoT would be cool.

Mario games are always rated very highly, but I find most to be mediocre when I play them. So as usual it's a lottery as to whether I'll actually enjoy this one.

You won't be able to upgrade. It's Atlus. They're scum. They'll make you buy the whole thing again, and a fresh wave of day one DLC. They did the same thing with Persona 5 Royal, and with the PS5 version (no upgrade for PS4 players). Don't support their games. Don't support this wretched company.

I'll stick with the general Japanese release.

I'm glad they announced this now, so it doesn't waste valuable time in the June direct.

They're all owned by Embracer, so I can see this getting a separate European release later.

I might get Paper Mario, but no chance on LM2, seeing as it's the same game as 3DS, but more expensive and then you have to pay an online fee to play with friends, unlike the original.

It was a good direct with a lot of variety! I'm not actually planning to buy any of the games, but there'll be loads in there for others. My one criticism is that the showcase announcers were insufferably annoying throughout the whole thing. I actually turned the volume down so I didn't have to listen to them. Hopefully they'll be less off putting in the next one.

I absolutely hated the original Heist, which is sad, because I adore both Dig games. So I won't be bothering with this.

Unfortunately I'm away from my Wii U and 3DS consoles for now, but I'll definitely be looking into Pretendo when I get back to them. Poor form from Nintendo to shut the online down.

Eryth Sea from Xenoblade 1 would be one of mine. And the seas in the Endless Ocean games, too.

No physical in Europe, so no sale unless it goes really, really cheap.

As commenters on here have been saying for a few weeks now. And it's not just the US, it's every region Nintendo release games in. But that would have taken 2 seconds of research, rather than just copying a gamespot article...

@canaryfarmer Yeah, I always just automatically go with SanDisk. Don't even bother looking at other brands.

@StudMuffin They often do gold editions at launch with the regular retail editions, but these are always codes for the season pass. They've never had all DLC on disc/cartridge except rereleases on future platforms, to my knowledge.
