Re: PSA: You Only Have One Week To Purchase 3DS And Wii U eShop Games

RainbowGazelle

Got everything I was after from sales, and various Nintendo games and DLC too. Capcom decided they didn't want European money, so I haven't bought any of the Ace Attorney games, which is a real shame. I'd already bought all the Sega 3D Classics I wanted ages ago. And I downloaded a couple of themes with leftover funds.

Bye, 3DS and Wii U eShops, and goodbye to my favourite era of Nintendo.

Re: Best Deals And Cheapest Games In The 3DS & Wii U eShop Sales

RainbowGazelle

Some great deals here, especially on Shovel Knight, the Steamworld Games, and some others.

I envy you lucky Americans who are getting Capcom's sale. I really want to get the Ace Attorney games, but I'm convinced Crapcom aren't bringing their sale to Europe for some reason, as they would have by now. However, if they don't want my money, that's their choice.

Sega have got a huge sale running on 3DS in Japan on basically everything they've ever published, so hopefully they bring that to NA and EU.

I don't expect Nintendo to put anything on sale. They let Fire Emblem Fates disappear last month without any sale, so they'll do the same with everything else. Idiocy.

Most of Square Enix's games were published by Nintendo outside of Japan, so I don't expect many sales from them either.

@ElRoberico I've played the Gunman Clive games on both systems. They're pretty much exactly the same, but the 3DS has a nice 3D effect. They're like more relaxed NES Megaman games, and you can easily finish them in an hour or so, but they're good fun while they last.

Re: Capcom 3DS & Wii U Games Available For Just $2.99 In Final eShop Sale (US)

RainbowGazelle

Where the hell is this for EU, Capcom???!!! It's been literally years since you put anything on sale here!!

EDIT: We ain't getting it guys. I just checked the JP eShop, and there's a huge sale there too. Crapcom clearly just hates Europe.

EDIT 2: Has Capcom Europe forgotten their log-in details for the 3DS eShop or something? Almost everything they've published on Switch is currently on sale. It seems really strange that they're doing endless sales on Switch in all regions, and 3DS in NA and JP, but not EU.

Re: Poll: What Did You Think Of The February 2023 Pokémon Presents, Then?

RainbowGazelle

What was the point when they basically had no gameplay footage ready? Most people were expecting Scarlet and Violet to get DLC, but why have it in a video presentation if you've got no video to show. It was just artwork. Other than Unite and Cafe, it was basically completely random, unconnected live action videos that just wasted time and showed nothing. I really don't know what the point of the presentation was. Just a complete waste of time.

Re: Rumour: Kirby's Return To Dream Land Deluxe Will Reportedly Add New Epilogue

RainbowGazelle

@RupeeClock Almost, but it wasn't automatically Nintendo Europe using different names. It depends on your perspective. Nintendo America and Nintendo Europe both used different titles in their respective regions. For example, this Kirby game was simply called "Kirby Wii" in its native Japan (and the Switch version is "Kirby Wii Deluxe"). If anything, Nintendo America used the most radically different name in this case.

I know it sounds like I'm being overly pedantic here, but it's just something that irks me a little bit. The NA names of games aren't automatically the "correct" English titles, with EU's being "different "; native English speakers exist across both regions.

I know I talk crap about the writing on this site often, but there are a lot of people who are strangely happy to defend corporations in this comment thread. Let's just let all companies get away with whatever they want, and reviewers shouldn't ever mention any grievances. Is that better? Honestly, it's the reviewer's job to inform people on all aspects of a release. That's what they've done here. Informed people of a terrible sales tactic designed to get more money out of people.
