Re: Nintendo's eShop Summer Sale Is Now Live, With Discounts On Over 1,500 Games (Europe)

RainbowGazelle

There's a ton of stuff on sale, but I'm mostly winding down my Switch purchases now. I've bought plenty of games for the machine.

"we can't do as we usually do and list every available discount"
Literally when was the last time you actually did that?

"What we have done, however, is pull out some of the biggest titles currently on sale and listed them below."
No you didn't. You copied Nintendo's highlights.

Re: Talking Point: Could Nintendo Squeeze Another Zelda Game Out Of TOTK's Open World?

I don't see why not, if they changed it substantionally. Underwater exploration and maybe proper flying would be cool. They'd need some meaty new side stuff this time, though. Not just exploring the whole map again and collecting korok seeds or holding up signs.

Or just do the exact same thing again. Many people seemingly want to play the same thing over and over again these days. Just look at how many have been crying about ports of Twilight Princess and Wind Waker for Switch for the entire generation.

@ManifoldCuriosity Assuming you've played TP and WW before, you realise those two sentences contradict each other?

Re: Round Up: The Reviews Are In For LEGO 2K Drive

Push Square was very critical of the micro-transactions and explained just how horrendously slow earning new stuff in the game has been made in order to get kids to buy premium currency. Anyway, I'll just copy my comment I made there:

"Absolutely disgusting. The Lego group have apparently shown their true colours here, and should be ashamed of themselves. It's a full-priced kids game, with multiple DLC "seasons", and aggressive micro-transactions! It's seriously impacted my view of Lego as a company."

Re: Zelda Boss Wanted Certain Tears Of The Kingdom Areas In BOTW, Prevented By Wii U's Limitations

RainbowGazelle

Nice false headline there, par for the course on Nlife. According to the quote, flying was held back by limitations, not "areas". The underground not being in was because the developers didn't want to / couldn't in time, make the full underground area. Gliding was the compromise added in the end.

What I'll never forgive is the Switch'es limitations meaning we lost almost all gamepad functionality. It was not a good look when you're having to cut features on your old console because your new one actually has fewer capabilities.

Re: PSA: You Only Have One Week To Purchase 3DS And Wii U eShop Games

RainbowGazelle

Got everything I was after from sales, and various Nintendo games and DLC too. Capcom decided they didn't want European money, so I haven't bought any of the Ace Attorney games, which is a real shame. I'd already bought all the Sega 3D Classics I wanted ages ago. And I downloaded a couple of themes with leftover funds.

Bye, 3DS and Wii U eShops, and goodbye to my favourite era of Nintendo.

Re: Best Deals And Cheapest Games In The 3DS & Wii U eShop Sales

RainbowGazelle

Some great deals here, especially on Shovel Knight, the Steamworld Games, and some others.

I envy you lucky Americans who are getting Capcom's sale. I really want to get the Ace Attorney games, but I'm convinced Crapcom aren't bringing their sale to Europe for some reason, as they would have by now. However, if they don't want my money, that's their choice.

Sega have got a huge sale running on 3DS in Japan on basically everything they've ever published, so hopefully they bring that to NA and EU.

I don't expect Nintendo to put anything on sale. They let Fire Emblem Fates disappear last month without any sale, so they'll do the same with everything else. Idiocy.

Most of Square Enix's games were published by Nintendo outside of Japan, so I don't expect many sales from them either.

@ElRoberico I've played the Gunman Clive games on both systems. They're pretty much exactly the same, but the 3DS has a nice 3D effect. They're like more relaxed NES Megaman games, and you can easily finish them in an hour or so, but they're good fun while they last.
