Bullcrap! As if they needed even more money. If you're sooooo concerned about remote playing ruining your curated experience, then just limiting the number a day is enough. You don't need to increase the price too. How about not increasing prices, Niantic? Thought not.
@UltimateInkling Well, seemingly no micro-transactions, but already tonnes of DLC planned out:
Standard Edition ($59.99) Awesome Edition ($99.99): Includes a new vehicle, vehicle flair, in-game minifigure, and the Year 1 Drive Pass Awesome Rivals Edition ($119.99): Includes multiple vehicles, a vehicle flair, multiple in-game minifigures, and the Year 1 Drive Pass
Got everything I was after from sales, and various Nintendo games and DLC too. Capcom decided they didn't want European money, so I haven't bought any of the Ace Attorney games, which is a real shame. I'd already bought all the Sega 3D Classics I wanted ages ago. And I downloaded a couple of themes with leftover funds.
Bye, 3DS and Wii U eShops, and goodbye to my favourite era of Nintendo.
Seemingly the only developers, other than Game Freak, that can keep making a game buggier is Mojang. Let's be honest, both games are an embarrassment on Switch.
Some great deals here, especially on Shovel Knight, the Steamworld Games, and some others.
I envy you lucky Americans who are getting Capcom's sale. I really want to get the Ace Attorney games, but I'm convinced Crapcom aren't bringing their sale to Europe for some reason, as they would have by now. However, if they don't want my money, that's their choice.
Sega have got a huge sale running on 3DS in Japan on basically everything they've ever published, so hopefully they bring that to NA and EU.
I don't expect Nintendo to put anything on sale. They let Fire Emblem Fates disappear last month without any sale, so they'll do the same with everything else. Idiocy.
Most of Square Enix's games were published by Nintendo outside of Japan, so I don't expect many sales from them either.
@ElRoberico I've played the Gunman Clive games on both systems. They're pretty much exactly the same, but the 3DS has a nice 3D effect. They're like more relaxed NES Megaman games, and you can easily finish them in an hour or so, but they're good fun while they last.
That's absolutely pathetic, to take 2 months when there's a glitch out there that can erase your save file. It should be getting fixed IMMEDIATELY, priority number1!
Where the hell is this for EU, Capcom???!!! It's been literally years since you put anything on sale here!!
EDIT: We ain't getting it guys. I just checked the JP eShop, and there's a huge sale there too. Crapcom clearly just hates Europe.
EDIT 2: Has Capcom Europe forgotten their log-in details for the 3DS eShop or something? Almost everything they've published on Switch is currently on sale. It seems really strange that they're doing endless sales on Switch in all regions, and 3DS in NA and JP, but not EU.
I'm glad TT seem to be slowing down. The Lego games had become such bug-ridden messes. So it's nice to see them focus their efforts a bit more. Personally, I'd looooove to see a Lego Doctor Who game!
@KingOhger I noticed if you throw your pokeball at wild Pokemon to initiate the battle, you get the shiny jingle. You don't when you run into them. Weird, I know.
@Fuecoco What about people who are colour-blind or have sone kind of vision impairment? Some of these Pokemon are tiny!
This and the other Ace Attorney games are basically permanently on sale on the NA and JP eShops, but haven't been on sale in EU since March 2020. I simply refuse to pay full price when people in other regions have had plenty of chances to get them for a fraction of the cost. So unless Capcom puts these on sale in EU over the next 3 weeks, I won't be picking these up.
What was the point when they basically had no gameplay footage ready? Most people were expecting Scarlet and Violet to get DLC, but why have it in a video presentation if you've got no video to show. It was just artwork. Other than Unite and Cafe, it was basically completely random, unconnected live action videos that just wasted time and showed nothing. I really don't know what the point of the presentation was. Just a complete waste of time.
So, some region parity then? Whilst the original BotW is the same price as other Switch games in the US ($60), it's £10 more expensive in the UK (£60, compared to every other game being £50). The sequel is listed for £60 on most stores, so it looks like Nintendo are going to charge more again.
@RupeeClock Almost, but it wasn't automatically Nintendo Europe using different names. It depends on your perspective. Nintendo America and Nintendo Europe both used different titles in their respective regions. For example, this Kirby game was simply called "Kirby Wii" in its native Japan (and the Switch version is "Kirby Wii Deluxe"). If anything, Nintendo America used the most radically different name in this case.
I know it sounds like I'm being overly pedantic here, but it's just something that irks me a little bit. The NA names of games aren't automatically the "correct" English titles, with EU's being "different "; native English speakers exist across both regions.
@Classic603 I see they've updated the article. This was not the case when I commented. There was no mention of the US or where amiibo restocks were before.
I know I talk crap about the writing on this site often, but there are a lot of people who are strangely happy to defend corporations in this comment thread. Let's just let all companies get away with whatever they want, and reviewers shouldn't ever mention any grievances. Is that better? Honestly, it's the reviewer's job to inform people on all aspects of a release. That's what they've done here. Informed people of a terrible sales tactic designed to get more money out of people.

Re: Indie Dev Headcannon Confirms It Helped Sega Update Sonic Origins Plus
Nice that Sega actually let them finish the game this time. Now let them make Sonic Mania 2!!
Re: Seth Rogen On Voicing Donkey Kong In The Mario Movie: "It's Gonna Sound Like Me And That's It"
Well they should have hired proper voice actors instead of big-name Hollywood actors just to draw attention. What a pathetic attitude to have.
Re: Poll: How Many 3DS Consoles Have You Owned?
Ahem, 10.
And I've still got them all.
It's fair to say the 3DS is my favourite system ever.
Re: LEGO 2K Drive Will Include Real Money Transactions
Disgusting from Lego. No sale.
Re: Sonic Origins Plus Officially Announced For June, Adds Amy And 12 Game Gear Games
"You can pre-order the physical version from the official website"
Only the American version so far, of course.

Re: Hands On: LEGO 2K Drive Is A Wild Ride, But Will It Prove Too Much For Switch?
Looks like a blast, but the monetization is absolutely disgusting, so I won't be bothering.
Re: Random: Hideki Kamiya Thinks Bayonetta Origins Will Help People Make Babies
"Baby Mario and Baby Luigi are infinitely more endearing"
Wow, not sure which is a hotter take, Kamiya's or this.

Re: Sonic Frontiers 'Sights, Sounds, And Speed' Update Reportedly Due This Week
Brilliant! Can't wait. I loved Sonic Frontiers, and any excuse to go back is fine by me!
Re: Soapbox: Why I Love Deepnest, Hollow Knight's Most Divisive Area
I didn't know there were divisive areas in this wonderful game.

Re: Splatoon 3's Next Splatfest Is A Monster Mashup
Well I pretty much have to choose Nessie. Otherwise I'm not a true Scot!

Re: Talking Point: Which Pokémon-Themed Nintendo Console Has The Best Design?
Why only the Pokemon Blue transparent 2DS? There was a red and yellow one too (and green in Japan).
Re: Capcom Reminds Monster Hunter Fans To Grab 3DS & Wii U Entries Before eShop Closure
Capcom just pouring salt in the wounds of EU players.
@Thief I think Nintendo published it outside of Japan. At least they did in Europe, not sure about NA.

Re: Tunic Goes Physical With Special Deluxe Edition Releasing Later This Year
It's cool that it's getting a physical release, but it seems a bit overpriced when what's included is just various different kinds of paper.
Re: Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Version 1.2.0 Bug Supposedly Corrupting Save Files
Pathetic and greedy. That's unfortunately all the Pokemon company is these days. I think this might unfortunately be the straw.
Re: Capcom Ending Resident Evil 7 Cloud Rental Service On Switch
It's already a rental regardless...

Re: Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Version 1.2.0 Is Now Live, Here Are The Updated Patch Notes
@demacho I completely agree. I loved the game, but technically it's a mess.
Re: Random: Shigeru Miyamoto Comments On What Nintendo Will Be Like Without Him
Probably better off without his ridiculous, outdated ideas.
Re: Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Version 1.2.0 Is Now Live, Here Are The Updated Patch Notes
The fact it's taken over 3 months to fix such basic things is a disgrace.
Re: Poll: What Did You Think Of The February 2023 Pokémon Presents, Then?

Re: Scalpers Set Their Sights On Metroid Prime Remastered Physical Release
Scalpers are just scum. Plain and simple.
I somehow managed to get the trilogy collection on Wii years ago in great condition for about £35-40. I'll just stick with that.
Re: Miyamoto: "Other IPs" Like Splatoon Were Considered For Super Nintendo World
It's a shame. I'd love to go if they added other IPs, but I've no interest in the Mario franchise.
Re: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom amiibo Goes Live On Amazon UK, Pre-Order Now
Is it bigger than the normal amiibo, like Detective Pikachu, or is this just pure greed?
Re: Sonic Frontiers' Sales "Greatly Exceeded" Expectations
Great to hear! It's a really fun game, and I'm glad that's been rewarded.
Re: Baten Kaitos Remasters Have Japanese VO Only, Frame Rate, File Size Revealed
@nhSnork They're still subbed in Europe. At least this week's was anyway. Yeah, I hate the American dubbed ones.
Re: Zelda: Breath Of The Wild And DLC Treated To 30% Off In eShop Sale
Europe still getting screwed over.
Re: Poll: What Did You Think Of The February 2023 Nintendo Direct?
It was great! Cool detective games, some good ports and DLC, Zelda footage, the return of Level-5, and LAYTON 7!!!
Re: Professor Layton And The New World Of Steam Is Bringing The Puzzle Franchise Back To Switch
Awesome!!!!! I never saw this coming at all! I hope it's a proper Layton 7!! Hype!!!!
Re: Yes, Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Costs $70, Collector's Edition Announced
@dazzleshell Crap, you're right. I should have jumped on it at £50.
Re: Yes, Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Costs $70, Collector's Edition Announced
I'll probably grab this from The Game Collection. It's £50 there (incl. VAT), which is pretty much $60 right now.
@Picola-Wicola Yeah, just like the first one. Europe already got the price hike 6 years ago.
Re: Level-5 Announces Detective RPG Deca Police For 2023 Release
Fantasy Life, This, and LAYTON 7!!! Level 5 are back!
Re: Feature: Our Predictions For The February 2023 Nintendo Direct
I'm hoping for some new surprises, and a release date for Rain Code would be cool. My wildcard prediction is Endless Ocean 3!
@WhiteUmbrella The original Resi Trilogy is on the PS3 PSN store too.

Re: New Pokémon Scarlet & Violet TCG Set Revealed, Along With Some Utterly Adorable Art
Just a small correction, it's Triplet Beat, not Triple Beat. These starter cards look awesome though! I'll try to get some packs.
Re: PSA: Don't Worry, 3DS System Transfers Will Still Be Possible Following eShop Closure
@Tyranexx What the hell Capcom? Again?! I want to get the Ace Attorney games, but they haven't been on sale in Europe since 2020. 😣
