If you haven't played Xenoblade yet, trust me, it's worth it even in 720p. The world design, music, and story are all great. Top 10 games of all time for me, easy. And that was back when it ran in 480p and had muddy face textures.

Tesla has become the Fortnite of the car industry to me. It's nowhere near as bad as haters make it out to be, but it's mediocre at best, and has the WORST fans who won't stop giving them free publicity no matter how much of a tool their CEO/poster boy is.
I like it when Nintendo does a little of both. Without revisiting the same series and ideas we wouldn't get great games like Mario Odyssey, Link's Awakening, Smash Bros., Fire Emblem Three Houses or Mario Kart (which is still surprisingly good). But without new ideas we wouldn't get cool innovations like Splatoon, Ring Fit, Arms, or Astral Chain (not Nintendo, but still an original idea funded by them).
There is definitely room for more new ideas, but no reason to ignore the old ideas that are still working either.

Ha, imagine Mario Odyssey ported to a Chinese PS4 with the only changes being that Bowser has the Hong Kong flag painted on his shell, Mario has the Chinese flag on his hat, and all post game content would be locked behind loot box DLC. Loot box chances: 99.9% to unlock a new color for the Odyssey (three colors in total). .1% chance to unlock Mushroom Kingdoom and Darker Side.
And Chinese hackers would still find a way to ruin all the fun even though it isn't multiplayer.
I'll play another Kojima game when he can actually provide good gameplay and a story that isn't self-indulgent, bloated tripe.
Games like Luigi's Mansion are silly romps, but at least respect your time. And hell, if you're afraid your friends will judge you for games like Luigi's Mansion then Witcher 3 and Red Dead provide infinitely better gameplay/story combos than any Kojima game.
Comparing Mai to Bayonetta actually doesn't make sense. Why? Look at Nintendo's pattern: Samus, Bayonetta (in smash), BotW Zelda, Twintelle, and even Ring Fit trainer (female). What do they all have in common? They're bottom heavy, in tight pants/tights, but covered up. Nintendo is sticking to this formula to provide base level sexual appeal without triggering ratings boards or parents.
Mai, on the other hand, is top heavy and very exposed. Too obvious, too flashy, too triggering.
Well, and it's sad because all the kids are seeing this potential success and now want to stream for a living.

This would have been funny in a more real-world situation. Ash, now in his mid 30's, tired of losing for 20 years decides to selectively breed and EV grind his Pokemon. Slowly, over thousands of hours he begins to treat his Pokemon more like objects and not friends. We, the viewers, feel our stomach turn in grotesque revulsion as Ash rejects a perfectly lovable Pokemon because it doesn't have the right stats.
As Ash finally wins, his opponent a 29-year old Youtube star who tries to pick up his young fans, we realize no one really won. No one won.
Later, when Ash realized all the Pokemon wouldn't be in Sword/Shield he was furious. Not because he couldn't pet his favorite Pokemon, no, because all his EV grinding to beat middle schoolers (and the youtube stars that love them...) would now go to waste. He may have won the Aloha league, but the the Twitter Pokemon Rage League had just begun...

The way they build the world in game makes me think an open world aspect might be really cool. Exploring an anime city on your sweet motorcycle? Sounds like a great game to me!

A little disappointed it isn't a new game from Monolith (Baiten Kaitos 3, XCX2, or a new series altogether) but I can't hate this game. Easily one of my favorites. I hope they add more scenes/voice acting (FE; Three Houses spoiled me...). Adam Howden (Shulk's Voice actor) did mention he finished recording lines recently. Either they've redone all the voice work, or added new stuff.
If they've redone the voice work they better not have replaced Reyn or Dunban...at least the trailer hinted Alvis is the same. I couldn't even fathom Reyn-Time with another voice actor.
