In the same interview at EGX 2019 recently, Capcom and Street Fighter producer Yoshinori Ono responded to a fan question asking if there were any plans to bring the fourth or fifth entries in the series to the Nintendo Switch.
Here's Ono's reply, courtesy of his translator:
Can you go over to the Nintendo booth and maybe just like shout that at the VIPs in the backstage, because they're the ones you really need to talk to, not me.
Even our previous Nintendo title Ultra Street Fighter II, Nintendo came to us and said we want to do something with Street Fighter II because it's been 25 years since it came out on previous Nintendo consoles. So, I think they're the ones you need to convince, so go and mob that booth.
Apart from Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers, the only other Street Fighter game on the Switch is the 30th Anniversary Collection.
One other interesting question raised during this event was about the possibility of Blanka being added to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate – even as an assist trophy similar to Guile, now that Ryu and Ken were both in the game.
This was Ono's funny response:
I don't think Mr. Sakurai likes Blanka a lot. Now that you mention it, the word 'Blanka' never came up while we discussed who to put in Smash, so either he's never heard of Blanka or he hates him, so I'm sorry.
You can see both of these questions around the 40-minute mark in the EGX live stream recording.
Would you like to see more Street Fighter games on the Switch? How about Blanka in Smash? Leave a comment below.

Uh, no? You’re the one bringing those games to the platforms, Nintendo doesn’t have to “convince you and do everything themselves”, is he for real?
Um... yeah, I don't think that's how it works.
I'm that case, no thanks Nintendo, I'm good.
To think Nintendo doesn't ask for games is beyond naïve. Even the past 2 presidents have mentioned it's a part of their Switch strategy.
I think Nintendo would be happy with any of Capcom's games releasing.
Well Street Fighter V is console exclusive to PS4 for the obvious reason, so that's not coming.
After for Street Fighter 4, even 3DS got a version so it could happen on Switch.
Not likely to happen, most of the notable entries are already in the anniversary collection. IV is being snubbed for V, and V is a Sony exclusive.
@GrailUK Nintendo asks for games on their platform all the time, but the notion that Capcom NEEDS that to happen for Street Fighter is a pathetic excuse. I doubt they needed Nintendo to ask them to port DMC1 and 2, or to port the SF Anniversary Collection, or the Beat-Em Up Bundle.
Oh, get stuffed, Capcom.
What more do you want? We bought your stupidly overpriced Ultra Street Fighter II and we bought the anniversary collection.
Can we now have a Street Fighter game that isn't old enough to smoke and drive?
SFV or even Ultra SFIV would be great now but with talk like that, like they would somehow be doing Switch gamers a favour by releasing any of them, I'm already kind of losing interest
We already have Street Fighter Anniversary Collection.
How much more Street Fighter do we need ?
Bring something else to the table Capcom
Like REmake 2, or all those other games that are not Resident Evil, Street Fighter, or Devil May Cry.
Meh at this point I rather take a new Darkstalkers or Power Stone game over any Street Fighter. I had grew away from Street Fighter for too long now I don't think I want to go back. Also SFIV and V are just way too ugly for me to get use to though a Capcom vs. SNK 3 crossover would be nice.
The "Switch tax" is the reason to bring your game to switch.
If they don't like the idea of being able to charge up to fifty percent more for porting their games then they're not very good at business.
Never loved street fighter that much anyway. Yeah SF 2 was a big deal back in the day but after mortal kombat i just couldn't go back. The characters and back stories were way more fleshed out and interesting, Killing your opponent in the most gruesome yet comical fasion is far more fun and cool than knocking them down and going YOU WIN!
Oh and maybe I'm just really bad at street fighter combos but Ryu's are about the only ones i can pull off with ease.
With MK they feel alot simpler. Well mostly with the classic fighters anyway like scorpions spear.
How bout an MK collection featuring the first 10 games? Give me that on switch and i might bite!
Hahahaha. Oh wait, he's serious? Let me laugh even harder!
Unpopular request but i want Cross X Beats on Nintendo Switch.
Cross X Beats is a touch screen rhythm game from Capcom, created by former Dance Dance Revolution sound director from Konami.
Sure now we need to ask Nintendo if we want Capcom games. How dumb does this guy think we are. First we had to buy title after title to see if we wanted more ,and now we got to ask Nintendo.
What you should do capcom is realuze the huge market for fighting games on switch. Here an idea for you Capcom. If the new SF games are exclusive to Sony why not use your other fighting franchises. You do got darkstalkers and that game sakura came from originally. If Netherrealms can have two fighting game franchises . Then the company who used to own the fighting genre can certainly do it
SFIV could happen, maybe some kind of multi-version collection that has both 4, Super/Arcade/Ultra, and all its DLC rolled onto a cart and whatever extra mode they might thinks of. That should be enough of a package to charge $40-50.
Heck, you're rolling out Resident Evils and Devil May Cry ports to the Switch Capcom. While I'm sure Dead Rising could be next, another Street Fighter wouldnt hurt.....
The Switch is outpacing the PS4 on sales when compared between the same time periods post launch. Don't give me this bs you need convincing. The platform is successful and thriving either you get in or get f****!
As a diehard Street Fighter FAN I'd love Ultra Street Fighter 4 on Switch as well as (eventually) an Ultra Street Fighter 5 of sorts, as "exclusivity" is not forever and in this case only applies to PS4 (I'm assuming). I'm still mad at Capcom for making that deal with Sony to begin with, so they're going to have to win me over with some good Street Fighter lovin'. Also, WHAT THE HECK does Nintendo have to do with bringing SF or ANY Capcom title to Switch???
@KitsuneNight
They could add the games they conveniently cut from the collection either as dlc or as another compilation (why alpha 3 upper and alpha 2 gold were cut is beyond me both had arcade releases).
He probably want Nintendo to offer them money for a SF exclusive.
@Aerona
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_n5E7feJHw0
Oh yeah I forgot, I don't particularly like Blanka for Smash. While I love BOTH of these games I'd be hard pressed to think of any SF characters I want in SSB. More non-fighting game Capcom stars would be welcome, though.
@GameOtaku
At first i wanted to say: Well that's probably because Capcom, wanted to avoid over saturating the collection with too many versions of the same game.
And then I remembered SF II is in there five bloody times.
They could toss us Pocket Fighter and Super Puzzle Fighter and the Darkstalkers series as well.
@Ventilator
Hmmm, I think you might be onto something there...
I'm sure I'd pick up SFV for Switch but, to be honest, with King of Fighters 98, Samurai Shodown II, Last Blade 2, Real Bout Fatal Fury 2, Garou, Street Fighter Anniversary Collection, BlazBlue Centralfiction, Guilty Gear XX Accent Core and Mortal Kombat 11 (and with Samurai Shodown 2019, Skull Girls and King of Fighters XIV on the way), I'm not exactly short of one on one fighter options on Switch.
@BionicDodo
Spoiled for choice.
Great Innit ?
@fpacker2
Always room for another one there are only 778 versions of SF II after all.
@KitsuneNight
That's it exactly! 5 versions of sf2, 3 of sf3 but only the vanilla versions of the alphas?
And yes! A Darkstalkers collection would be awesome and appropriate for this time of year!
Thats not how it works.
You bring the games, advertise it and convince the owners of switch to buy your game.
@KitsuneNight
True, but I still want USF4 & SF5... grumble, grumble.
😑
@GameOtaku
Maybe there will be a collection 2.
Capcom loves the number 2, just look at SF II.
@nin10dobot
I wouldn't mind either but i got those on the ps3 ps4 and steam.
Going by the comments, this is probably a stupid question, but given Nintendo owns the Switch platform, wouldn't the final decision on whether a game is put on it ultimately be theirs?
As for whether I'd like more SF, given we've already gotten the 30th Anniversary Collection, unless there's a way to get SF V on the platform, I'm fine for now.
@KitsuneNight
Yes, but I've got ONE word:
HANDHELD
Right? 👍😀
@nin10dobot
90% of my time i spend on the NX is in handheld mode.
i preordered a Pokemon lite for a reason.
What do they think they are?
Go away, Crapcom, you're messing up too much with the Switch.
@the_beaver
No, Crapcom must redeem themselves...
@nin10dobot
Well hey, at least they are not Bethesda right ?
Cause Bethesda seems to be be in a race with EA and Activsion to be the most sh*t.
I just thought of a compromise: Pocket Fighter versions of SF/Darkstalkers characters in Smash Bros.?
@nin10dobot
Hey I would be happy with Lillith, Morrigan and Felicia in Smash Bros.
I am not interested in Blanka anyway.
@KitsuneNight
I don't know... they seem to be stepping on Bethesda's heels at this point.
@nin10dobot
Bethesda is "surprising" the game world with a 100 dollar "subscription"for fallout 76 with "perks" nobody asked for
Crapcom isnt quite on that level of craptitude yet.
@KitsuneNight
It's safe to say NOBODY is interested in Blanka... poor Blanka (not really).
@nin10dobot
I am sure Blanka has his fans.
I am just not one of them.
I thought Sony paid for 5 as an exclusive? Maybe just a timed exclusive, but I'm sure Microsoft would have had it on XBox One by now if that was the case. 4 and 5 are amazing games, really excellent fighters. I have 4 on 3DS and it's nice to have on the go, but better to play on a home console.
No thank you, I only play SF2 and why should I convince them to take my money? It should be the other way around.
Go away Capcom. SFIV had robust sales on the 3DS and Nintendo gave this clown air time during several directs. Please don’t tell me that groveling to Nintendo is the only way to earn another entry from your series. I don’t care for Mortal Kombat but can respect Netherrealm for at least being respectable to the Switch audience.
People keep citing 30th anniversary as a "good enough" collection of Street Fighter, but is it really? It's the basic arcade versions with none of the bells and whistles of some of the home ports from Dreamcast onward, and sans special versions (Alpha 2 Gold, etc.). AND lazily outsourced to Digital Eclipse. Also it was missing basic audio tweaking options critically necessary in fighting games. Plus it's wonky save system really annoys me...
Bah, humbug!
How much is he going to pay us for advertising their game?
@nin10dobot
More like it's so much Street Fighter bang for your buck.
That it's good enough by dint of being cheap and having 12 games.
@KitsuneNight
Yeah, I guess I'm just being ungrateful... for my box of "turds", after all it did have a pretty bow and lovely card from Capcom...
waaait a minute 😶
@nin10dobot
More like an expensive box with cheap gritty chocolates.
Passable but not supernice .
i dont. so dont bother nintendo. thanks for your support lol. Keeep up the good work.
With the anniversary collection I’ve got all the street fighter I will ever need.
Then don't bring the game
@nin10dobot I'd like Chun Lee in Smash. Maybe Guile as well. It would be fun to play four player Smash with just capcom players. On the other hand I'd probably just as much want Scorpion, sub zero, lui Yang, Sonya Blade, Raiden.
BTW Pleeeeeeeeaaaasseeeee bring SF IV to us. I'm not too proud to beg.
I was just going to suggest Blanka for Smash until I read the headline. LOL
I feel like Smash needs the following characters: Kung Fu Man (From Kung Fu Master, not from Mugen), Blanka, Guile, Rugal, Sonic Blastman, Wesker, Nina Williams, Sub-Zero, & Ibuki.
I demand Capcom release X-Men: Children of the Atom, Marvel Superheroes, Marvel Superheroes Vs Street Fighter, X-Men Vs Street Fighter, Marvel Vs Capcom, & Marvel Vs Capcom 2 on the Switch in a collection.
I want SFxTekken, SF4Omega and SF5 and whatever else is released because I love Street Fighter. But I think the real people to talk with are Sony because they want SF exclusive on PS. And of course Cashcom does not care so I don’t imagine seeing SF on Nintendo.
@NTELLIGENTMAN Kung Fu man LOL. But I can agree.
@Severian PlayStation PlayStation paid for the development of 5. But Capcom seems to be bringing quite a bit to Nintendo and cashing in on switch tax. If you think capcom isn't supporting the system what is your thoughts on other companies like Sega, Namco, Konami, EA, Activision?
@sixrings
I have no comment on them at the moment because my real gripe is that we don’t have the new Street Fighter games. As for Resident Evil and such, I am unimpressed with their efforts to just give us a game card with RE4 and download 5+6.
That doesn't make any sense.
This is so stupid when developers/producers do this. Especially in this case. It's a Capcom game. What is Nintendo doing, saying they don't want more Street Fighter games on Switch? I highly doubt it.
"Why don't you have more games on this popular system that has versions of games outselling other platforms?"
"Uhhhhh, I don't know. Go ask someone else who isn't at all involved in our games"
Seeing as this is their attitude towards Nintendo fans, I'd rather they not make one. Can't say I liked any thing past 3rd Strike any way.
@Severian well I'm pretty sure If Nintendo wants to pay for all the development then they can have SF6 exclusive to them. It's not that they favour PlayStation it is that Sony was the one whom opened their wallets. Unlike us fanboys they just care about the bottom line.
Ultra Street Fighter IV on Switch please.
@Swoltacular capcom this man does not speak for everyone. Indie games don't magically make up for series we have nostalgia for. Fast RMX does not make up for Fzero. Mummy Demastered dnt make up for Metroid. Countless Indies didn't make up for castlevania. And no fighting game is going to substitute for the controls, music, and characters of capcom street fighter which we first played on Super NES.
ugh... ya... reeeeeeaallllly dunno why the hold up.. I mean... SF4 and SF5 would be great on the system. Or, I dunno... ANY of the vs
series (Marvel, Snk, Tatsunoko)... and Darkstalkers (Vampire Savior, really)... they could add fricken DARKSTALKERS to the Switch (ESPECIALLY THAT JAPANESE ONLY DREAMCAST RELEASE).... I guess Im just saying I wanna see Capcom fighters on the Switch!!
So they'll only bring a game if Nintendo goes begging for it? Ridiculous.
I would rather see some of the Capcom vs series. Capcom vs Tatsunoko is the best but I'd take any of the Marvel games too.
@Alztru @JedRock SF V is a Sony exclusive, they funded the game . Don't get your hopes up it'll ever leave their ecosystem.
Eh. This attitude was half-way understandable when Switch was young and third parties weren't sure if games would sell on it. It's just pathetic at this point, though.
I love Capcom's games. It's a pity they don't seem to like the Switch as a platform.
And how exactly did fans convince Nintendo to bring Resident Evil, DMC and Dragon's Dogma ports? By shouting at them in VIP booths?
I don't seem to recall such a thing......
@Itachi2099 He just wants to see money. We do know some 3rd party studios they will ask money if a brand like Nintendo wants an exclusive title. Maybe thats what he pointing at. And you Nintendies got already Street Fighter collection and all... SF4 is ok. SF5 is horrid. Nothing to miss here. Maybe Nintendo should pay them so they can make exclusive Street Fighter Alpha 4, but of course in 2D as Street Fighter 3rd strike with widescreen. Bring bang Dramatic Battle and World Tour and voila we're good to go. Make it happen people
Nintendo doesn't even have a hand in the series' development. Why do we have to ask nintendo for more SF? We didn't have to ask Nintendo for Okami, DMC, RE, and the anniversary collection. This feels like a stupid excuse to not bring more games onto the Switch.
I mean it's hard to say. SFV is going to stay PS exclusive. You could ask for a port of USFIV. I don't think any would want MvCI at this juncture either. I suppose if Capcom winds up doing a SFVI on 9th gen hardware down the road you could ask for a version there, but it makes you wonder if the Switch could handle it given some 8th gen ports don't run all that great depending on the game and the development team doing the port. 9th gen ports of games might only be viable on whatever Nintendo comes out with in a few years with the Switch's successor.
@sixrings
Hence the nickname given by many users on EventHubs as Cashcom.
Ultra SF4 #prettyplease
@Severian I don't believe any company is a pillar of virtue. That includes Nintendo. They are a business so it should be obvious they are looking to monetize all of their IP as much as they can. These companies aren't charities and they only care about you as long as you have money in your pocket. This is how the world works.
@sixrings
That’s fine, you’re entitled to your personal opinion (albeit it being a broad, sweeping platitude) about companies in general. Not how I would characterize it as "how the world works" because it's not: it's an overly capitalistic view of things, presented with absolutely no uncertainty while being uninformed of current events or about business and economics.
My professional and personal opinion is that no, not all companies focus on shareholders (making money) if we look at things like corporate social responsibility, and if you’re following some trends the past decade, stakeholders are actually valued as much if not moreso these days.
Silicon Valley believe it or not had its companies until recently focused on growth over profit and you can read it in the New York Times, with the sarcastic headline that went something along the lines of "making money: a novel idea in in Silicon Valley."
https://www.nytimes.com/2019/10/08/technology/silicon-valley-startup-profit.html
Please bring Ultra Street Fighter IV for the Switch Nintendo and Capcom!
Yeah...It's up to to Capcom to do this. I have to think he means "Ask Nintendo to fund SF VI like Sony did with V." Hopefully the future of SF doesn't rely on one of the big three to fund it.
@KitsuneNight
I don't think REmake 2 would work on the current switch without signifficant sacrifice. That's why I'll stick to pc or a more powerful console.
I think that Ultra Street Fighter II fared a lot better than their other fighting games, we deserve more entries with original content
"Please, Nintendo fanboys, try to convince Nintendo to shovel enough money at us to bankroll Street Fighter VI like Sony did with V."
It's basically the Square Enix situation, where a third party developer will only consider putting a title on Switch if Nintendo foots part of the bill. Ridiculous.
@Alztru It's pretty much impossible for SFV to come since Sony basically funded part of the game's development and struck an exclusivity deal with Capcom to make it a PS4 Console-exclusive, but USFIV is still very much possible if Capcom were willing to do it. Same with UMvC3 which is the modern Capcom fighter I really want next to Tatsunoko vs Capcom and Darkstalkers Resurrection
Didn't Nintendo pay for the development of metal gear twin snakes on GameCube?
Don't even let that filth SFV touch my Switch. Full priced game+3 season passes+micro transactions+loot boxes+in game ads+50/50 guessing to the extreme. No thanks.
If they clean up their act I wouldn't mind seeing some Capcom fighters on Switch that don't have this garbage freemium model on a full-price game geared solely towards a competitive scene.
I hate this kind of statements. They want to blame us for what they haven't done right. Shame on them.
@R_Champ how bout it goes on the Eshop and you simply ignore it, rather than tell others what they should or shouldn't buy.
Pretty sure the seller is supposed to convince the buyer to buy, not the other way around.
We, the gamers, want your games on the Switch. What more do you need?? Stupid excuse. It’s not like you don’t have a Switch development kit Capcom. GTFO!!
Yeah, bring over a compilation of those awesome cross over 2D fighting games. Xmen vs Streetfighter, Marvel Super Heroes vs Streetfighter. Etc. I have them on Japanese Sega Saturn, but on switch ..hella awesome
I would actually love IV to come over. The visuals are my least favorite but the gameplay and controls are sublime.
@link3710 which is fine... never played it, but SF4... THAT is a game I'd like to show up on the Switch
@Switch-a-Roony same, and I definitely agree... tbh..really would love if ALL those Japanese released Saturn fighters showed up on the Switch!!! Would even be nice for the Dreamcast fighters to show up, too!!!
SF V sucked ass. They're gonna need to beg me to buy another entry.
um no capcom you dont need nintendo approval to bring ore street fighter games to switch but seriously capcom is just being shady like ea.
Why is it that with 3rd party companies make Nintendo fans beg for games. Then when they fail to properly give the same or a better version and instead give us a worst version of a game and charge more and we don't buy it. Its our fault?
Who thinks this way?
@fpacker2 I don't think you are far away from that. lol
@liljmoore how can a third party make a superior game on an inferior system?
@aVagabond
I dunno about that.
The Witcher 3 was also claimed to be impossible and the latest Grid is also a great port.
I think people underestimate the NX but it won't be an easy port.
Off course that's assuming its even on the cards.
The entire quote of this producer's response sounds like it was written by an angry Internet troll.
Is this an actual producer of Street Fighter series???
To be honest, it's too late for SF V to be ported to Switch. I love the game but I doubt I'd want to go back to it, let alone buy again... maybe if they do an Ultimate edition with all (!) the costumes, characters and stages - yeah.
Also I don't get all the negative feedback towards SF V. It launched in poor condition, yeah but is it the fault of the developers? I wouldn't be surprised if this producer is at fault for rushing the game. Regardless, they patched things up. The DLC practice isn't the best but still, I've had lots of fun in SF V.
The Street Fighter series seems to be getting stale lately and there's only so much you can do to keep it fresh but not overly complicated. I think Capcom should wait a while before even considering Street Fighter VI at all, whether to a Nintendo system or not. Bringing some of the older Street Fighter and SF-related games to Switch individually on eShop would be nice though. Personally, I'd like some Darkstalkers games (I can't believe they never put one on the DS) along with Pocket Fighter (Super Gem Fighters Mini Mix), Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo, and Street Fighter Alpha 3 MAX on the Switch. I have SFA3M on PSP but the d-pad sucks on the PSP I have, I'd rather not shell out more money to buy a Vita so I can also buy the game again, and the Switch has more buttons so I can assign shortcuts like 3 simultaneous punches to extras without having to sacrifice dedicated single attack buttons. The buttons in place of the d-pad on the Switch aren't ideal either, but I'm getting used to them, and there are attachments with actual d-pads on them.
@KitsuneNight Who's the wolf woman in your avatar?
Hi, I live under a rock. That said, I bought SF 5 for my son on PS4 a few months ago. The majority of characters were unplayable. Wtf? No thanks Capcom.
@Decapre Pretty sure SFV is on PC as well bud
Also doubt many would care for that game, it was apparently pretty awful compared to SF4, even has adverts in the game I've heard.
@Shonenmon That's not the reality of it though, unless you're young and never played any prior fighting games
Games like the Tekken Tag Tournament games, or Marvel vs Capcom 2 heavily disagree with you.
Back not too long ago, you'd unlock new characters by playing the game, not opening your wallet.
Stop defending that trash in modern fighting games lol Look at tekken 7 with its now THIRD season pass.. It's a joke.
@Doktor-Mandrake Notice how I said Console Exclusive.
@Doktor-Mandrake As someone who got a copy for free, I can confirm there are ads in the game, and I have yet to have any fun with it. It's... it reminds me a lot of a mobile game honestly.
@DrDaisy
Funny you ask me that, because you are the second person to ask me about my avatar.
So I hope you don't mind some cutting and pasting.
That's Jetta A werewolf from Gold Digger.
A long running comic series by Fred Perry.
You can find the first 199 issues ( i said it was long running ) absolutely legit, for free on the internet.
That library's been there since 2013 and is on the inside cover of most Gold Digger comics.
http://antarcticpresslibrary.com/?p=239
The series was in black and white for 50 issues and then switched to color and its on it's way to 300.
It's fairly tongue in cheek and pretty fan servicy.
The avatar it self might be animated by Perry himself for his animated project. ( he did the entire thing himself on a mac )
But I am not entirely sure.
You can find Jetta in issue 5.
@Doktor-Mandrake
As well as DLC up the wazoo.
It's pretty damn shameless actually.
My antivirus hates it and it crashes the game.
The reason why Nintendo fans gets this kind of crap from game devs is that they think there's some huge loyalty to Nintendo that they can exploit. There is a loyalty, but it's mostly focused towards Nintendos own games.
I don't want Street Fighter 5. It's a bad episode and it would have been gutted by critics if it had been a Nintendo exclusive. And the too much focus on that game is killing the fighting game community.
Street Fighter 4 was okay but they added too much characters it made the game unplayable because no one could learn all the different match ups.
Street Fighter is no longer econmically viable for Capcom.
Sony payed for SFV. That’s just the way it is.
What?! Okay then don't take my money. I'll just spend it on MK11 dlc. 😁
@Shonenmon You're free to have your opinion of course, and I'll try to respect that
But I think you have me figured wrong, I don't have a problem with ALL dlc.. just depends how it is handled, and fighting games are terrible with it
The DLC characters in Tekken 7 use to be Base characters, its not extra content, the base game is watered down as hell lol
Remember Street Fighter x Tekken and it's ON THE DISC dlc? Literally content already completed and made, then cut out to sell later on.
Compare this to something like Smash Bros Ultimate, that game has a HUGE roaster in the base game, and the DLC characters actually feel like 'extra' content and not something that should of been in base game to begin with.. If it was up to you, I feel like we'd have less characters and stages then Smash 64, and we'd have to just pay for the rest.
I've got some bad news for you.. You're not a publisher, you can go on about costs and risks, but your knowledge on that subject is about as vast as my own.. Unless you happen to work for one of these companies?
Yes, it's expensive to make video games.. That doesn't mean every video game in the market is a good deal and not a rip off.. Some of them are bad deals, not because their own costs to make said content is so high they HAVE to rip people off, but it's because people like you are naive.. Exactly the same reason why Micro Transactions infest pretty much every AAA game these days.
Nothing to do with nostalgia, it's just common sense.
@KitsuneNight @link3710
Sounds like sticking with SFIV is the way to go then.
That game still looks great anyway with its cel-shaded style graphics, hasn't aged a bit.
If any more SF games were to come to Switch, hope it's IV and not V
Capcom needs to convince Nintendo fans to want their products, not the other way around. The Switch has tons and tons of games so most of us will get along fine without it. We've got 11 or 12 Street Fighter games already, and a ridiculous number of fighting games elsewhere. They should have put out something really good when the system was new, but, at this point the fighting market is pretty saturated on Switch.
This guy Yoshinori Ono, is notoriously known to be a troll.
To translate what that means, could practically mean anything.
If i had to guess, he wanted to make some kind of Street Fighter exclusive to the Switch similar to Snk's Heroine fighters. I say this because he's requesting Nintendo's approval. Hypothetically If this game was to be approved, don't expect it to be amazing. it will be a cheap low budget low poly game matching the quality of a mobile game in general.
However if he's not trolling, then he's trying to pull a Bayonetta in hopes that Nintendo will pay Capcom for a street Fighter 6 Or Switch Fighter Exclusive. When you consider that ED Boon released 2 polished fighting games since street fighter 5, should tell you how bad things are with this franchise.
You see, at first my thoughts were on a Ultra Street Fighter 4 port. But thinking it over more, Ultra street fighter II was meant to be Ultra Street Fighter 4, they just didn't want waste resources on the Nintendo Switch Considering it was a launch title this would make sense since all the "AAA" companies were skeptical about the Nintendo Switch back in 2017. It dose make me wonder if Yoshinori Ono, is serious in making a Switch Pro exclusive fighting game.
@Doktor-Mandrake I'm hoping for SF4 to come to Switch as well. You can forget 5 coming as it will be exclusive to PlayStation. 4 is better than 5 anyway. I have every Street Fighter to date and outside of 3rd Strike and Alpha 2, SSF4 is by far my favorite one.
@Rafie Right on man, SF4 is my fav too, im not a hardcore SF fan who has played all of them but most of them, like SFII and third strike ect.. But yeah SF4 is my fav in series too
If any more SF was to come to switch, IV would be way better for sure, that game is sick
@KitsuneNight Thanks.
I was gonna guess that she was from an unreleased sequel to Brutal: Paws of Fury.
@DrDaisy
Nah she is from a comic that's been around since 1991.
It's a bit fanservicy but I like the overall comic.
Before this one i had an animated version of Cheetah also from Gold Digger.
and i had Brutal as a kid.
It was...brutal.
I would love to see a remake of Capcom vs snk 2 or just another Capcom vs snk 3.
I want SFV on the switch like, yesterday! But only if it runs decent online...so yeah, probably better off not having it on switch.
I tried to "convince" Nintendo by buying the Street Fighter games on Switch... what else am I supposed to do now?
Fandom is not crowdsourced labor. Make a phone call and set up a meeting.
That's complete BS, but I'll let it go because they did fulfill my dreams with the anniversary collection, that's all the SF I wanted.
Now, who do we have to talk to get Capcom vs SNK on any modern console?
"Are you going to produce this game for this platform?"
"Oh we have nothing to do with that, ask the hardware manufacturer."
How have these guys been in business for over 30 years exactly?
@KitsuneNight Okay, thanks. She looks like an animated sprite from a video game... And now I really want to play as her.
@DrDaisy
There might be some Mugen sprites of her floating around.
But i wouldn't get my hopes up.

@Shonenmon Good, glad you deleted that comment you sent me earlier as it was utter drivel
You are a stubborn child, I tried to respect your opinion, and I gave you a very good insight to how constructive criticism works.. Unlike you who said nothing productive, provided no counter argument, you keep riding the "hur durr nostalgia goggles" .. Even though that has nothing to do with the fact that there's NEW fighting games out there that offer better value for money then SFV does, MK11 is better and that game is NEWER then SFV.
But you deleted your comment, so clearly you realised yourself that you're just full of it.
Good evening, it is a pity there are only very old Sreet Fighter versions on Switch, I was very surprised and disappointed. This being said, I prefer SF IV to SF V, the latest has dubious character designs.
