Astral Chain

Astral Chain is a bit special, as you'll know from our glowing 9/10 review. It's PlatinumGames at its finest, offering thrilling combat, superb visuals and a nice mixture of gameplay styles – and it's exclusive to Switch.

However, such a fact doesn't seem to have stopped people asking for the game to come to PS4 (in fact, some believe the lack of a Sony version is why it's currently getting review-bombed on Metacritic).

PlatinumGames co-founder and notoriously testy industry legend Hideki Kamiya – who served as supervisor on the game – has answered back to requests for Astral Chain to come to Sony's console (as translated by Jack of All Controllers):

Well… it would be great to have Mario, Zelda, and Metroid on the PS4 too… As for me, do I hate PlayStation…? I’m just a developer fulfilling my contractual obligations so I don’t know, maybe you can try asking my publisher and investor Nintendo?

It probably won't come as a massive shock to learn that this isn't the first time Kamiya has had to endure such ill-advised pleas. Back in 2014, he had to put up with people asking for Bayonetta 2 – a Nintendo-funded sequel to the multi-format original – to come to other consoles. No wonder he blocks so many people on Twitter.
